《Project Felia》Volume 2 Chapter 17 - Molten Giant

The last chapter was a bit short so i wrote another one today as an apology!
We were looking out at the arena and crowed, waving as instructed. The Deciever was the last one to come, but she didn’t wave.
“This have been a really good day, these combations have been fighting for the throne, but who won the crowed? The one who got the most votes is…. Odin!”
I looked over at Odin, he was surprised and blushed as he waved again at the crowed. Now he was going to fight the other person who wins the next vote.
“Next fight is The Deciever versus Café Waitress!”
The roll started real quick, I didn’t even notice it had begun.
“What terrain is it this time? Roll it!”
The screen slowly stopped on desert.
“Ohh desert again! Let the games begin!”
They had both already gone to their starting locations.
Looking at the monitor from here is much better then actually being there, the damn sand was annoying, had to cover my eyes.
“Look at that! She is already on the run!” The Deciever used heavenly agility already, not even stealth?
“Here they meet!” The audience was shocked and looking closely in excitement, this match started off quick!
She used “Dirty Tricks!” as she noticed the alchemist, they both ran up to her, but her clone used reappear and tried to slash up café waitress, but she got away barely as she dropped some bombs, but it didn’t hit the clone.
“So fast!” The original Deciever used reappear and stabbed the alchemist in the back with her full body strength and momentum, it was such a strong impact café waitress fell on the ground, but she smiled as a fuse was already lit! She quickly changed places with her clone to get out of the blast radius, that had to be the 5 minute cooldown ability, that was a huge blast!
Café waitress was still alive, the bombs does not damage herself, but the stab from before did bring her health down to half health. The Deceiver threw some throwing stars at café waitress, but she dodged them all, she retaliated by throwing bombs back, but the blast wasn’t enough.

It got quiet for a second as they were looking intensely at each other, no attack or running just silently looking, even the crowed got quiet, it was like time had stopped, only the sand in the wind was heard. The tension got broken as The Deceiver smiled and summoned a clone in front of her, she then slapped a smoke bomb on his back and sent him running!
The Deceiver used reappear again as it was off cooldown and tried to slash her up again, but she anticipated it and jumped backwards, as she tried to throw bombs on the ground she realized that there were none there! They had been stolen!
The Deceiver held the bomb belt, but she can’t use them though. She then threw one of her knives because she didn’t have anymore throwing starts, Café waitress dodged, but the knife wasn’t trying to hit her, it was aimed at the clone that was right behind her as the clone disappeared the dagger hit the smoke bomb and it exploded!
Café waitress was in thick smoke, couching, on the monitor we could she The Deciever run inside and we saw Café waitress`s health drop quickly to zero as the smoke disappeared. She then picked up her dagger from the used smoke bomb and blew away the sand.
“And the winner is The Deceiver!”
Now it was my turn against Fire Fist, we headed to our starting location.
The big screen stopped at summer.
“Let the fight begin, go!”
The map was really nice compared to the desert, it was just like being in a forest with some open spaces and a nice sun, but the danger is out there somewhere, I entered stealth and snuck about.
After a short while I could see him just walking he was waiting for me to make the first move, his body was thickened with earth to reduce my damage from the ambush.
I was so stupid to not buy anymore smoke bombs when I had the chance, but I have to make the most of the situation.
His combat skills are highly advanced, he is strong, but I am quicker, since I am not as strong his earth shield will just neglect all my damage, I have to make up a good combo.

I summoned my clone and used dirty tricks, then my clone went invisible, but I didn’t. I approached him head on I even used heavenly agility!
“Aaaaa!” I screamed running towards him with my dagger ready to strike, I got his attention!
My clone went out of stealth as struck his back, Fire Fist quickly turned around and tried to knock my clone away, then my clone used reappear and kicked him in his back and backflip over to me, then Fire Fist turned around and I used reappear behind him and slashed his back!
Everything happened really quick and we did do some damage, but as I thought his earth shield or earth skin neglected much of the damage.
“Enough!” Fire Fist hit the ground and the earth around him wrapped up into a ball and I got stuck inside it with him!
Everything got dark, the only thing I could see was his red markings and then the fire around his fist as he slammed my face once before I switched places with my clone, after a short while the wrapped earth fell apart and my clone was gone.
He took a look around himself, but I was stealthed again.
I appeared behind him and struck his back, but it didn’t deal much damage, he turned around and punched me but I blocked with my daggers. His hands were not skin anymore, it was molten! Earth skin combined with intense fire.
What subclass is he if he can use both elements? Two subclasses? No, he chose one subclass, but his gear is only directed to one of the elements, my guess is that he got fire subclass, but his gear is all earth, therefor he can use both.
I only got melee combat right now, therefor my poison deals almost no damage at all, same goes for my stealth.
“Take this!” He charged up some kind of fire ball in his hands!
I prepared to dodge it, but he didn’t shoot it, he slammed both his hands together and consumed it, his whole body turned molten!
He smiled
“Yes, yes! Now it’s my turn!” He looked over at me; his eyes were glowing red like fire!
This has to be his 5 min cooldown ability, infuses his whole body in flames, but combined with earth; I need to keep my distance and run! Heavenly agility is still on cooldown!
“Get back here!” Even his speed increased, he is catching up to me!
“Die coward!” He slammed the ground behind me and I lost my balance as I fell he punched me really hard in the back, then kicked me over to a tree, it dealt 50% of my health! More of that and I am dead!
His ability should be over soon, I have to buy more time!
He was coming closer, I had to stand up and get away at least to his ability is gone.
Heavenly agility and reappear of cooldown!
“Any last words?” He approached me.
I chuckled and reappeared behind him, kicked him in the back of his head and ran of with heavenly agility.
“Damn you coward!” He tried to chase me down but he was too slow, his ability also went off.
He was breathing heavily, sweating and even his hands was back to normal, don’t tell me his ability has withdrawals?
He turned around and ran towards him my heavenly agility effect was lost but I still had quite the speed, he looked back at me, he stopped walking. He took both his hands together and closed his eyes, taking calm breaths and concentrating.
His markings turned green, then he opened his eyes, they were green too!
Roots appeared at my feet as I fell down, the roots tried to drag me down with it to trap my leg in the earth, but I quickly cut it with my right dagger.
Fire Fist was wide open, he wasn’t as composed anymore, I got up and ran towards him again, he was slowly backing of as he stumbled on his back.
Now is my chance! I jumped on him as I had him pinned down and I was about to slice his whole torso up, his green markings lit up again!
A Thick rot came up from the ground beneath him through his stomach and through me!
* Blood cough *

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

You Are The Gods.
You read the title right, YOU are a God within this story. In fact, every single reader of the story is a God. Many stories like to take the path that there are Gods that watch over the characters of the story, helping them or hurting them as the characters progress. What if, the readers of this story are the Gods that are watching the Main Characters? What if the readers could accrue points by reading that they could spend to help the main character, hurt the main character, or to even create new characters, dungeons, and scenarios? That is what I aim to create! I am trying to get the community involved in creating a reality that the readers themselves can directly influence! If you have any interest in this at all, I implore you to read the intro chapter called 'The Tutorial' and join everyone else on many interesting stories on Planet Earth and what it is to become! Volume 1 is where you can find how the system works, and the various things within the system! Volume 2 is the actual story and invasions itself. Volume 3 is where you can find previous polls and the such. Volume 3 is so we can all look back at the decisions made. Quick note. I am not the best writer, and will try my best to create the best quality story. There might be some grammar errors, or I might write in a simpler way compared to other authors because I do not have much time, nor can I write ahead either! If you wish to give me advice on the system as the story goes on, then I will gladly accept it. Lastly, just have fun with the story as I try to do something completely new!
