《Project Felia》Volume 2 Chapter 2 - Come and play by the hearth!

“How much longer do we have to go? I am freezing!” We were all shivering.
“S-s-sto-p-p compla-a-aini-g, C-c-corte-z-z-z!” Elisa was probably freezing the most.
The snow was getting unbearable, it was so cold that even our cold resist couldn’t protect all off it, we gradually lost health, we needed a fire really bad! Our vision was blocked by the snow storm, but in the distance there was something glowing.
“What i-s-s-s that over ther-e?” I pointed towards the glow.
“Yes…….. your ri-i-i-ight, I can feel the heat with my tracki-i-ing ability, it lets me have a censori-i-i-ing aura that increases with poi-i-ints in tracking” Cortez seemed breathless.
“Save your b-b-reath Cortez!” We got closer to the light.
There was a weird looking cabin over by the light, wonder if someone’s home.
“Hello? Anyone home?” We knocked on the door once we got closer.
Knock knock.
“Hey, guys! How you doing?” Some guy in the window yelled at us.
“W-w are c-cold! Got any room?” Elisa yelled.
“I will unlock the door, give me a second!” The man locked the window and after some seconds unlocked the door.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Thank you, wow its hot in here!” Our gear went back to normal.
“Nice place you got here, is it yours?” Elisa asked.
“Yeah! This placed robbed me to the bone! But it was worth it, this place is my life now and I enjoy meeting people every now and then, my name is Lee, you are welcome to stay if you are nice folks!”
Lee seemed really nice and his gear look bad as he said, but it was really casual clothing, don’t know if it even has stats.
The cabin had a small room with a table, chairs, a carpet almost covering the whole floor and a fire place.

“Do you always invite people in so easily? What if they are not friendly?” Elisa asked a really good question.
“This is my house, pvp is not “on” inside my house, unless I enable it, since I am the admin or owner in this house I can turn things on and off. There is a kitchen over there and bathroom there, you can stay until the storm is over, you guys came at a bad time. Didn’t you know about the regular storms? There is a reason many players decide to not level higher then 5, this place is to dangerous, even if you survive the storm and walk you still have to get down The great fall.” Lee went over to the kitchen and grabbed some drinks.
“Here you guys go, replenish your health with this” We all got drinks.
We got rid of our dehydration and cold so our health started regenerating, but it was a slow process, would probably take some hours.
“What is upstairs?” I asked as I took a sip.
“Nothing much, beds, windows, books. I like to read as i look outside the window, the view is mostly beautiful on a good day, it makes me feel more comfy, ohh and yeah there is also a fire place upstairs as well, reading next to it also really relaxing.” Lee went upstairs and came down with a book. Probably the one he was reading when he got the glint of us.
“So, lee, how did you end up here, In the middle of Nulara, not the most ideal home location?” Lee started laughing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I was stationed in Siberia, a really cold place back on earth. We were some researchers, researching the snow an animals for airborne contamination and as soon as we noticed, it was much worse then we thought, after a while the cold got worse to, because of the contamination. Animals got sick and our gear couldn’t take the cold, our food supply got dried out after 3 weeks of isolation. The food suppliers couldn’t withstand the trip to us, so we were left with a choice. Die or live here.” Lee took a cip of his drink.

“What happened to the others?” I figured he was a open guy, I could ask.
“We were 6 people stationed, only me and my buddy took this choice. The other 4 choose heaven…Yeah, my buddy didn’t make it.” Lee took another cip and looked a bit down.
“I am sorry man.” Cortez seemed sympathetic.
“Its alright, it’s been a long time since then, how about you guys?”
“Real life wasn’t a good place for me, I didn’t have any friends an my family treated me like shit, I ran off and choose to live here, not regretting it at all.” Open minded as always.
“I was in a bunker, we got raided, it was a live or die situation, I chose this life, even if people call this a fake life or a sin” I hear ya, Lee raised his drink and took a sip
“Same story here, I was in a bunker, but we didn’t get raided, the bunker was filled with crappy people and supplies was running low, I choose this life before the fights and killings started.” A war does make people very desperate.
“Want anything to read? I got lots of books upstairs.” I didn’t feel like reading.
“Sure I could use a good book right now.” Elisa accepted the offer.
“What about you guys?” Both me and Cortez just wanted to chill by the hearth.
“We are fine, thanks.” Lee and Elisa headed up.
“Well suit yourselfs” Cortez looked at me.
“Dude, this place rocks, I cant wait to see the beds!” He putted his legs on the table.
“It will be nice to sleep, I didn’t even know one could build a home” I looked around.
“Neither did I, once we get to max level we should make a awesome place!” I have never seen a more dreamy glint in someone’s eyes.
