《Project Felia》Chapter 6 - Finally, a Friend

“What do you want me to do with him boss?” a bandit said as he held a player captive. The captive was badly incurred and filled with blood and injuries.
“ Its late and my house with all the cages are a few hours away from here, just kill him and get it over with, you are free to take everything you want form his gear! Get him out of my sight!”
The bandit boss was chewing on a cigar and he was big and fat with heavy armor and a big axe over his shoulders.
“N-No! Please don’t kill me! I- I do everything! Please!” The captive started to drop his loot on the ground as his gear periodically was removed and his body was more reviled. The bandit punched him in the face and kicked him in the stomach so he fell on the ground.
“You see, I don’t want your gear, no no no, I have the better gear anyway” The bandit laughs in a psychotic manor, more like giggling.
“What do you want with me then? I have nothing else to give? I can be your slave yes! I can grind materials for you to sell, just please don’t kill me!” The captive started to cry as he was speaking, he was desperate.
“I don’t want money either, I want your life! Tihihihihihih hahahahaah!” The laughing maniac takes out a knife after he had successfully tied up the captive to a metal chair. The manic then proceeded to make small cuts on the captive’s body with the sharp knife.
“Stop please! It hurts!” The captive starts to lose his sanity as he can see both his right and left arm are blood filled with deep cuts in a mass quantity.
“Ohh you feel pain already? This is like being pinched compared to what’s coming! Tihihihi!” The maniac throws water on the captive to flush away the blood.

“Now, let the fun begin!” The maniac take out a poisonous flask from one of his many pockets and carelessly pours it all over his arms, the poison is so damaging when in contact with the wounds a mist could be seen! The captive was screaming his lungs empty! Hes eyes was rolling around unnaturally and the shaking was intense.
“Tihihihhihahaahah! The laughter increased with the screaming.

Someone was knocking on the door to my room and woke me up.
“Are you ready for some adventure, friend?” Cortez seemed to be a morning bird, filled with energy already.
“Here take this! Breakfast!” Cortez had already bought breakfast for both of us. A really tasty chicken leg, even how much I tried the food would not make any stains or anything. I could literally drag the chicken leg into the bed sheets and not a single mess would be made.
“Wow Cortez, thank you! Hope it didn’t cost you too much, I don’t want to be a burden.” I took a bite of the chicken leg.
“Burden? Friends are not burdens! The amount of adventure and questing we have in front of us are astronomical!” He was really energic!
“Astronomical? Really?” I could not resist to laugh a little.
“What? You have to think big man!” he took a bite of the chicken leg as well and headed downstairs of the hotel.
As I went downstairs Cortez was waiting in front of the entrance and I got a party invite from him.
“I guess we are headed to Zuria then.” Cortez was looking for a caravan.
“Hey over here! Stop!” We chanced the caravan and it stopped.
“Zuria? That will cost you 3000 mesetas for the both of you.” The caravan said. We used the last mesetas we had on the caravan ride.
The trip took about 2 hours. Felia is said to be almost the same size as the real world.

“While you were sleeping I was roaming the city a bit and I found a flower trainer, she thought me how to pick up flowers.” He seemed a bit proud of it.
“Flowers? Cant everyone pick up flowers?” sounded like a logical question in my opinion.
“Ofcourse, but if you and I pick up the same flowers only I can use it or see its stats, since the flower you picked up is worthless you cant trade it or sell it.” So that’s how it works.
“I remember Nort said I could use flowers to make poison, maybe I should learn it too.” Always poison on my blades would be nice.
“ Would be nice to have for your class, but chose wisely you can only chose 2 professions to learn. Once learned it can’t be unlearned.”
After I realized that it seemed like it was a way to easy choice for Cortez, he doesn’t even need flowers for his class, or does he? Maybe for the traps?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As we were bored of the ride we both were silent and reminisced the old life as we beheld the beautiful plains. Animals running around in packs, having fun, beautiful trees and the sky was so blue it almost hurt my eyes. In the real world it was a rare sight to see a blue sky. The pollution and chemical gasses mostly blocked the sun, it used to rain a lot and the rain water was poisonous, not for the skin, but if it was drank.
I could see that Cortez was thinking about his past. Maybe his parents, who knows, we just meet each other there is still a lot of things we don’t know about each other, but Cortez seems like a open minded guy, I feel comfortable around him. Safe. Maybe one day we can become best buds, Hahah what am I saying, talking in such a weird tone like that. I couldn’t help but laugh a little to myself. Cortez saw me giggle.
“What is so funny? Is it my face?” Cortez made a really funny facial expression, I laughed as much as I could.
“What is on my face? Where? Where?” I couldn’t resist to tease Cortez with my laughter.
“There is nothing on your face, you just made such a funny expression! I slowly stopped my giggling, my eyes had even teared up. I couldn’t remember the last time I had laughed like this.
“You are such a prick! Haha, oh look!” Some weird looking birds were flying really close to the water in synch, suddenly some fished jumped up from the water and dragged the bird down to the water with its teeth! It was an amazing sight! We were both astonished.
“Wow, that was insane!” said Cortez, even the caravan rider laughed a little, for an npc he really seemed to have his own personality.
“Take your heads back in guys! I know the view is nice, but at least keep your torso inside! It’s dangerous!” the caravan rider seemed worried. Me and Cortez could not resist the urge to smile.
We both really needed this.
A few more minutes past and we arrived to our location.
“Here we are kids! Zuria! Have a nice stay, may I be of service again later! Farewell!”
“Farewell old man!” We said at the same time.
“I am not that old, hmpf!” The caravan rider said as he rode away from us, a little bit upset from that statement.
Cortez and I could not wait to check out the city.
“Wow look at this city! Let’s go right away.” We both hurried inside after we stretched our legs.
What kind of mission lies within this city, not only npc quests, but a cry for help from a player?

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
