《Project Felia》Chapter 3 - Learning the ropes

“Assassins have 3 subclasses, poison, stealth and melee combat. You will get armor and weapons with stats and since you are an assassin you can only use leather clothing. Your stats will be poison, which you can use to cripple, inflict more damage or poison someone’s drink ect. Stealth will give you more ambush power, the stealth mode you used now will get much stronger if you get gear that has more stealth damage then the other subclasses. Melee combat is for fighting outside of stealth, not used by many assassins, but it is never to be underestimated as the attack speed and your body movement increases during a fight.
Once you have leveled you get 1 point that you can put in either of these subclasses. Max lvl is 60, just like me, you can respec your points everytime you want, but not during combat. Remember that you can have several pieces of gear in your inventory, have one with a lot of poison points, one with lots of stealth points and one with melee combat points. Some missions might require me to have a large portion of health with a big shield and heavy armor, therefor I have to keep it on me, but I feel like this is the most comfortable for me though.” Nort seems to know everything, wonder how long he has been here?
“Take this Sky, this is the least I can give you” The nun hands over some money, a poison flask and a little bomb.
“Thank you” The nun headed back to the city.
“She hurried off quick." what`s the rush?
“Shes a npc you know? Once the mission is complete she can be found at the same location, keep in mind they are not real players, but that should not make you treat them less than players. They all have their memories and for them they have been living in this world for years, you can speak to them as they were real people. They are always really happy and glad to help, talk, they also have their own routine of life, although it may not seem like it."
“Let`s head to our next quest location ok?” Nort paid a horse caravan to travel us back to the city, it was quite relaxing after killing all those boars.

“Your next quest will be to gather food for the homeless shelter, follow me” The city seemed kind of lively with many players roaming around having meals, fun, played board games and some even dueled. Some shops with swords, herbs, food was also a part of the city.
“It should be right her---?” Nort stopped up as someone called his name.
“You think you can just walk in front of me while you owe me money? Huh?” A stranger approached Nort`s face, then he was standing toe to toe, he was wearing some kind of animal skull on his head as a helmet, with markings all over his body.
“Lets make a deal, if you can beat me in a duel I will give you three times the money i owe you ok? If i win I owe you nothing.” Nort lifted his straw hat as he smiled at the stranger with a bit of a cockiness.
“You think you can defeat me? I accept your challenge, Nort!” Both the Nort and the stranger walked towards the duel area. The stranger threw of his shirt and his whole body was filled with markings.
“I will now show you the power of the elements!” The elemtalist put both his hand together and his markings started to glow!
“GO!” The announcer announced.
The elemtalist shot a big fiery ball toward Nort, but it was dodged, Nort charges towards the elemtalist with his blade drawn, just as he is about to strike, the elemtalist uses earth roots to stop him in his tracks.
“I got you now!” The elemtalists markings turned from green too white as his hair started to flap in the wind. Small tornados surrounded both his feet as he ran incredibly fast towards Nort, it was like he was floating on the ground, he jumped and kicked Nort in his face as his he just managed to cut himself out of the roots!
“You challenge me to a duel and that is all you have to stand up with? Pathetic! Easy money!” The elementalist summons a tornado around Nort while he is on the ground, the tornado lift Nort up in the air.

“Die loser!” As the elemtalist is about to fling Nort away the tornado was cut! Nort lands firmly on the ground as he jumps with such a force that the ground behind him got turned to rubble! The sword slash was so fast that no one saw it, before we knew it Nort was already behind the elementalist and his sword was sheathed.
“Impossiable…humpf!” A big cut on the elemtalist appeared a second after Nort`s sword was sheeted. Nort won!
After the fight was over the elemtalist woke up with no wounds on his body.
“Let`s go Sky, we got questing to do?” He smiled and had his thumb up, I swear I saw and heard that smile go “ching!”
“That was amazing, how did you do that?” How is it possible to move like that?
“I have been here for a long time, lets just leave it at that, lets keep moving son! If you want to be as good as me, you have to hone your skills, but I will help. There is one thing I have to warn you about, this world is not as peaceful as you might think. This city is pvp protected, u cant hurt other players, unless it is a duel of course. I have been through many fights that have almost cost my life.
Killing players will not give any mark on you, you can also loot the dead bodies and trust me, some people out there are more then willing the get a hold of your gear one way or another.” Nort had a empty expression in his eyes for a split second.
“How many people have you killed? If I may ask?” I immediately regret asking that question, my curiosity was bigger then my sympathy for a moment.
“Back in the day when everyone was questing and exploring at the same time, some npc`s was to occupied by another player and questing was hard, some could only do 1-2 quests a day if lucky. There was a guild created “Darkblood brotherhood” with only one purpose to kill players, by doing this not only was the population lowered, but people feared to go outside of the citys. That was when the “Guardian Angles” were created, I joined as soon as I heard, we vowed to always protect the players of Felia, but it didn’t come with a cheap price, many of use died, but not in vein, the “Darkblood brotherhood” was weakened and the questing was do able after the battles.
There is something called zone pvp. If you go to a place to lvl and the zone is said to be from lvl 10-15, you can only kill those who are those lvls only if you are within that range lvl yourself. To say it easy, no lvl 60 character can wait for you to step outside the city and kill you.” I could see the empty eyes of Nort again, I have never killed anyone, but I have lived in the real world long enough to see a lot of people be killed, friends and family, this world is not that different.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We got to the quest giver.
“Please go kill 5 wolfs and 5 bears and bring their meat to me, you will be rewarded!”
“I accept! I will be back shortly.” Nort pays another horse caravan to travel us to the location of the wolfs and bears outside the city.
“hop on!” I got on the caravan.
“This will be the last quest I will be around, now that I know you know the basics you will do fine on your own, if you meet other players, do your best to befriend them, one friend is better then 1 more enemy.
"You can never have too many friends.”
Nort is looking at the fields, like he is reminiscing the old days.
I have been living my whole life alone, those close to me usually died shortly because of the regular bomb runs and attacks. It has mostly been me and my sister, but I couldn’t say that to Nort.
We arrived to our destination.
The tutorial is soon finished! What will happen after? Real threats? Deadly npc fights? Find out in the next chapter!

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

Gods Game
The Gods gathered together in a moment of clarity and created a world where people could battle, gain powers, and eventually enough power to kill them and take their place. After a millennium, they still have little success. Some of the combatants have died, others have given up and accepted their lives as they are, others turned their back on their original calling entirely, rebelled and have decided to wage war against this world and the reason they are there. So the gods keep scooping people up from the various worlds they've created in hopes of finding their death. They had gathered from six of the seven worlds they had available to them, now they have no choice but to gather combatants from the one world they swore they would leave alone: Earth. The world was dying and the people seemed hell bent on killing each other, rather than focusing on keeping their world alive so they could all live peacefully. Earth wasn't an ideal place to choose from, but the Gods had no choice. With new combatants gathered, each blessed with a gift from the Gods, they are set loose in the world of Taimin. The play ground for the replacement God candidates. However, this time, the combatants are unaware of their true purpose, so that maybe, they can accomplish the God's true goals. Another round of God creation has begun, but with secrets kept from them, and others hunting for their deaths, can they survive the first rounds, or will they perish because of the weaknesses they carry? NOTE: I do not own that cover, I googled fantasy wallpaper planets and I found that one. ^_^ Also, this story will slightly be fanfictiony as some weapons and elements may come videos, shows, and/or books.
