《Sage Of An Era》Chapter 9

“That’s the legendary Class 9 Restoration Pill, the Body Revival Pill!!” A great tumultuous tempest set his mind into a state of chaos.
Leo’s state of shock was reasonable, production of a Class 9 pill was extremely difficult and a high attainment in alchemy was required for it. To put it simply the Body rejuvenation pill was only a Class 6 pill, even though it was rare it wouldn’t cause people to be stupefied, it was even a rare pill in places like the Five Ancient Clans.
Richard chuckled as he spoke in a teasing voice: “You were actually able to recognise the pill, guess a man at the brink would do everything to find a solution.”
Even as he spoke, Leo was frozen in place as if his words were being spoken to a brick wall.
Seeing that petrified, unresponsive expression of Leo’s, Richard quickly lost interest: “Here take it.” Saying this he casually tossed the pill to him.
Only at this moment did he wake up from his stupor, which was quickly replaced by a frightened look as he jumped to catch the pill, paranoid that the pill touching the floor might make it lose its effect.
When he caught it, Leo felt a thrumming sensation fill him; something that he had long lost felt as if it was returning to him yet could not make its complete return.
Leo looked down at the pill in his hand then looked up at the nonchalant, indifferent expression on the man that had handed him such a priceless pill, the glow in his eyes was full of admiration and emotion.
“It’s better that you consume it now and then leave before my disciple…” Before Richard could finish, Leo collapsed onto the floor, tears trickled down his face, all the pent-up frustration that he had faced the past few years felt as if it had all been worth it for him at that moment.

“Thank you! THANK YOU!!” He cried emotionally: “I will never forget this, thank you!”
Richard was shocked by this show of gratefulness but did not say anything only nodding.
“Stop crying, you’re a grown man just go and consume the pill, you can show me your gratefulness with your actions not just your words in the future.”
Leo nodded.
---------------------
In the deep forest, there was a waterfall, at the bottom there was a bunch of boulders within the water, on one specific bolder was Leo, seated calmly meditating under the stomping force of the water.
Richard had told him that if he wanted to quicken the process of healing and increase the effects of the pill he should be under a state of pressure and chose for him his current location.
“AARGH!!!” Leo suddenly stood and jumped onto another boulder then, bellowed furiously releasing all the repressed bitterness weighing on his heart in one single breath.
His roar was as powerful as a beast causing the birds to flee from their nests.
Looking down he clenched and unclenched his fist feeling that sensation that he had been missing for so long, that sensation of power, that sensation of finally getting back what he held so precious.
Only two hours had passed since Richard had given him the pill, yet he could feel that the effects of the pill were still nourishing him continuously.
“I’ve finally regained my strength… ha HAHAHA!” he exploded with laughter: “Mother, your son will be back very soon!”
While reminiscing on his thoughts a gust of wind blew at his face, he turned to see that Richard had appeared on the other side of the waterfall.
“I see that you’ve returned to your former state, however, that’s not the end of the effects of my body revival pill. When you’re body completely absorbs the pill you’ll have surpassed your current state in all manners reaching a new height.”

“Since you’ve healed completely, you can leave now, taking care of yourself shouldn’t be too difficult. I and my disciple will be off on our journey the moment he wakes up. If there comes a day where we meet, do remember us.” Richard spoke in a calm indifferent tone.
Even though Leo was finally a Sage again when he looked at Richard, he seemed to be even more mysterious, his strength was impossible to gauge out from just looking at him. Yet him being able to hand out a legendary Class 9 pill, something that even his clan would rarely ever hand out to its members made him even more unreadable.
He’s definitely an extremely powerful Sage he possesses such a priceless pill, he must also be exceedingly skilled in alchemy, but why is he here in such a deserted kingdom? Sigh… He could only sigh inwardly for being foolish in thinking that this man was a weak low-level Sage, he was now sure that this man was formidable with a powerful background.
Leo took a deep breath and spoke with utmost sincerity: “Thank you for everything.” Then he seemed to be slightly conflicted, but in only a moment that expression disappeared: “Sir, my name is not Leonardo Ferian; I am a member of the Main lineage of the Ferian clan, Arthur Ferian. I hope there will be a day we meet again so I can repay you.”
After saying this he gazed at Richard deeply and took his leave, disappearing into the woods in an instant, where he was going only him himself knew.
Richard stared in the direction he ran off in for a moment then vanished from his position as well.
