Chapter twenty-six The Battle with Love and Hate
The last planet in the small solar system was surrounded by hundreds of spaceships with strange sensor spells. Six incoming ships were slipping into the formation watching, planning how to save the captive people inside of the ships.
Fred contacted his small fleet of four crewed ships and two remote-controlled ones. With a spell that Fred could not even conceive. They all stood in a room in a place with no time. They all nodded to each other in acknowledgement and Sky was unusually subdued. “We’re here and any closer we will be spotted even with our amazing new stealth spells. I’m not sure if we can save everyone who was captured. Once we start our campaign in orbit around the planet, there’s no telling what they’ll do.” He said, rubbing his huge hand over his close crop hair. He considered everyone’s faces as he addressed them all. “I’ve seen many different outcomes, and none of them were what I would count as acceptable. Some of them died. Some of them, they all died. The main problem is the fact that our little angel will become a killer with no mercy.” Fred walked up to the tiny girl and knelt in front of her.” I never thought I would ever see a beautiful little girl go into battle at my side with my consent. Here I am joining the bravest and wonderful girl selflessly helping save the known galaxy from the devastating war that would cost uncountable lives. If it weren’t for the fact that all would be lost without you joining you wouldn’t be here. I’m ashamed that we have to take advantage of your skill, power and willing to give us access to your magic.” Fred ran his fingers through her bangs leaned forwards to kiss her forehead, just like he’s done to his two daughters hundreds of times. “I thank you, we thank you, and the known galaxy would thank you if they were to find out. We’ll keep it a secret for now, until you get older and choose if you want or don’t want the fame.” He stood up to once again tower over the small girl.

He waved a hand toward a far-off wall, and the view outside of the ship appeared. Soon projected flight paths ghosted out from each ship. On some of the ships, there were two sets of numbers, red and blue. Fred’s deep, powerful voice carried easily to everyone’s ears. “We’re going to hit the ships with the most captured people first and free them.” He turned to Todd, and he stood straight, “yes, captain Fred sir.”
“I would like you to remove the threats of all the ships with no captives around this planet. You can do it any way you and your crew seem fit.” Fred told him with venom in his voice towards the psychotic mages. “I care not if they’re left alive or dead. I can’t let Sky be the only one who’s taking lives on this mission. She is not going to be guilty of taking innocent lives because there are not innocent mages outside of those chambers. If any of those mages get away and attack a Titan with more than three elemental affinities or chaos magic a new war will start. If the titans find out that there is the magic that can harm them, a war may start. So, everyone does your best to stop this from starting an all-out war we can not win.” Fred looked out at the ships, slowly leaving the planet in their timeline. He regarded the large ship with the largest number of captives and knew that was the most important one to stop and capture. It was surrounded by over two dozen smaller battleships all with a significant number of captives. It was going to be difficult to fire at them with any weapons. Somehow they had the more advanced shields.
Sky stepped forwards and waved her hand at the image of the obvious strongly guarded ship. “Captain Fred sir, there are strong waves of chaotic magic coming from those ships. I can feel that they have some of the stolen gifts aboard some of them as well. We can’t let them getaway. They have agreed for more power now you can’t fathom. I can see hear them muttering under their breaths wanting, waiting for the next infusion of magic.” She shook in anger, knowing how they would get that next boost in power at someone’s death in the most painful way. Jane put her hand on her shoulder and held her squeezing her. Sky’s anger was not placated but now focused on the inside towards the ones who deserved it.

Todd stepped forwards, “Captain Fred, do you think we’ll be able to save all of the abducted mages. I think we’ve done a great job so far if I don’t say so myself. I know we’ve done more in half a day than any four teams could have in ten days. We can only do so much with the resources we have.” Todd said, sounding just as upset as Sky felt.
Sky didn’t know what to say; she just wanted to save everyone. They had saved everyone alive until this point. Seventy percent of them were saved and had been cared for on the Little ship Tooth. She was happy with what they were doing until now. The problem was that the chaos mages had many of the new spells she had come up with. They also must have a unique magical gifted mages to put up such a vast difference in resistance. “There has got to be something else I can do. I can’t just give up because they’re fighting back a little harder. I’ve got to save them all from proving I’m not useless and I can do something right. I do have feelings, and I want to protect my friends. Fred sir. What more can I do? I can’t slow down the time in this sector of space. There are just too many spells being used in such proximity it will be impossible to case over all of them.” She looked over to Fred, her lips quivering about to cry.
Jane came up behind her and pulled her into a hug. She was with her physically, so she felt the gesture and the fact they were close in strength and solid bodies. “There, there, we don’t have time to cry for them yet. We must keep doing our best and continue. It’s not just you that is trying to save everyone. You’ve done more than enough. If it weren’t for you and your efforts, we wouldn’t have been able to do one-tenth of what we’ve done.” She kissed the top of her head. “We’ll do whatever we can and then some. We all love you and what you’ve done nothing will change that.”
Rocssanna and William were silently watching the new friends interact with Sky. They were hoping that with their daughter, they could restart the talks of peace. It was because of selfish mages and politicians that it escalated to war so quickly. Most Titans never thought much of interacting with the tiny races through the great void in space. They were thankful for the way everyone around them treated their daughter. A part deep within themselves stopped their motions to console their daughter. It was now up to her and the ones she chose to shape the future. They had done their part in forging the future of the beings of new space. They had their future to forge and proceed through. They were going to see their daughter safe in school before informing their intentions.
Joe watched how everyone regarded Sky with respect shown as an equal, not as a nine-year-old girl. She, after all, was his secret hero. He was so surprised at her strength, her speed and her magic. Her kindness was impressive, as well as her willingness to share. What she’s done for everyone up till now was impossible before. She had built an entire space ship that was beyond state of the art with nothing but magic in less than a week. It still made his head spin when he thought about the ship. He thought of the time when he saw when she first received her uniforms. When he saw her close to his age as a full-grown woman, he was smiling at the thought and quickly thought of what she has been through emotionally. He now wished he could hold her tight and protect her instead of the other way around. He watched Fred and participated in the planning of the last part of the mission.
