Chapter Fifteen
The New Ship
There was a chime, Conny’s voice came from above. “Captain Fred to the mess hall please Sky is ready to commence building the ship in five minutes after you have eaten. She would like to break up the day into more times of rest.” The voice went silent, and everyone looked at Fred.
“I guess you’ll have to go on without me. I’m going to help Sky finish some more of the ship. So, you can continue with the next simulation.” Fred said as he walked towards the doorway.
“Captain Fred Sir my team and I would like to come with you to ask her if there was anything we can do. I’m sure she can find something for us to do. We’ll do anything she asks of us even if she has to enter us to teach us how to do the things she needs.” Todd said and glanced back and seen his team confirm what he spoke of with a nod.
“I think Sky could use us like little androids and use us to build her ship. She taught us how to throw those rocks and a few other things.” Courtney said smiling
Heather walked up beside Fred looking up. “Captain Fred Sir I think we all want to help Sky after seeing what she’s going through almost totally alone. We’re going to help her somehow, one way or another. So, let’s get a little bite to eat with her and find a way to help her.”
“Okay we’ll find a way to help her, and I think she’ll welcome the help if she can find something for you to do,” Fred said as he led them out the door towards the mess hall.
Joe smiled; he was happy that he was going to be able to help more with this historic mission. “So, we’re all going to try and do something to help. When I was not training, I was researching what I could do to help her. I just wanted to take some of the pressure off of her. I found some designs for furniture and other objects that will be very functional and easy to create.”
“We’ll see if any of that will be of any help after lunch. We’ll wait until after lunch to pitch our idea. After Skys breakfast, we’ll ask her what we can do to help her, and tell your idea’s how you might be able to help.” Fred said as they continued to the mess hall. “I’ll be happy if she’ll let you help her or that you even can help her.”
When they reached the mess, they found Jane there grabbing Sky some food and something to drink. “Good morning Captain Fred Sir. Sky’s still sleeping so I was thinking of getting her some food and drink. She woke a little while ago, and she was looking better, but she was still somewhat exhausted.”
“I hate to ask now that I hear how she is doing, but we have some ideas on how to help her finish the ship. Since she’s awake could you bring her here to eat”? Fred felt horrible as the words came from his mouth.
Just as he finished asking for Sky, William and Rocssanna walked into the mess. They said the usual pleasantries as they went about setting out some food they had seemed to have prepared sometimes before. They didn’t seem to want to talk to anyone as they set out plate and cutlery. One plate seemed out of place, and they loaded the plate with mounds of food. Everyone watched the two seem to load the huge plate with slabs of meat and vegetables.

“If you would like to come and serve yourselves. There is plenty of food, and Sky’s already has hers on her plate. She is going to be here in a few minutes. She called to let me know Jane was coming for food and that you all were coming for something to eat as well. She was pretending to be half asleep because she wanted to use the…” Rocssanna was interrupted by the loud voice of Skys whining “MOMMY” rushing into the room.
She came into the mess hall wearing her uniform in pristine condition. The way she walked into the room showed she had a good night’s rest. Her light blue eyes were bright and clear; her sea blue hair was in a beautiful bun almost the size of her head. Her face was flushed slightly pink you could see just under her tanned skin. “Mommy they don’t need to know that. Why are you trying to embarrass me all the time”? She said with a frown. She pouted right until she noticed the large plate piled high with food. “Is that for me mommy? How did you know I was really hungry”?
“You’re always hungry, and yes, that is your plate of food,” Rocssanna said with a grin. “I knew you were around the corner and about to come in. Your secret is safe with me.”
Sky was not happy about her mommy’s teasing. She walked over to her plate picked it up as if it was a saucer with a biscuit. Everyone started to load their plates as if in a buffet. The food was heavy for the size of cuts and pieces. They still were surprised at how she was able to eat the tuff food so quickly. She had finished her meal before the first person who finished half of their own. She finished her food in record time and had some mushy seconds. She sat patiently waiting for everyone to finish their dinner.
Sky never really cared about what she ate for her meals as long as they were not too soft. She wanted to ask Fred to join her to resume building the ship since her break down. She noticed everyone was glancing to her occasionally as if wanting to speak to her but saying nothing. “What is there something on my face”? She wiped her face with her sleeve and frowned.
“We have a few ideas about building the ship if you decide that you want to finish it. We just wanted you to know that we all tried to think of some ways to help you. So, are you still done with the ship or do you want to continue with more help than just casting healing and spot welding”? Fred said with hope in his eyes.
“I want to continue with the ship. I thought the pieces were made wrong and threw them out. Now that I had a chance to think about them there was nothing wrong with the pieces. There was just a slight increase in the projected power output. I thought it might burn out some of the magic circuits, but after some deep thoughts, the circuits could handle almost any power surge. I was too stressed to think straight and jumped to conclusions.” She smiled at everyone and put her head down in slight embarrassment. “So, what kind of things did you come up with to help me build the ship”? She had a quizzical look as she asked the question.
“Well, one of the things we were thinking of doing is allowing you to control us like robots. Kind of like the way you showed Todd, Courtney and Heather throw the rocks at the alien ship. We are hoping you could use our bodies as if they are your own.” Fred said smiling at Sky look of apprehension on her face.

“I actually thought about something like that too, but it will be just as hard on you guys as it is for me. It would just go a lot faster and maybe a little easier with everyone working at the same time.” Sky said with a big smile. “I just hope not too much of what I do through your bodies stays within you. Some of what you might remember will be useless info for the rest of your life.”
“How would you like to be able the make a toilet from pure magic. I’m sure it will come in handy in your line of work. If you go through with the plan, there might be some half-remembered abilities. Sort of like a half-finished word or just part of a kung fu moves.” Sky asked not wanting to sugarcoat anything that might happen.
Heather smiled. “If it’s anything we might need will you finish the word or Kung fu move”? Everyone listened for Sky’s answer to Heather's question.
The warm look Sky gave her new family was heartwarming. “I will share just about anything you’ll need or that I think you can handle. I doubt you’ll need to be able to create let’s say a toilet with magic or a cupboard door. I will let you know if you so wish afterwards. Sky was happy for everyone’s willingness to help so thoroughly.
Fred looked to Sky with another question. “While you’re using our bodies will you be able to read our minds? I don’t think you should know everything we know. Everyone has something we don’t want to share with others. We all have a skeleton or two in our closet.”
Courtney looked to Sky and then to Heather. “That’s a good point; there are things we keep to ourselves and don’t want to share or tell anyone else.” Courtney’s face flushed pink slightly and had a coy smile.
Sky gave a thoughtful look up and pondered for the questions. I don’t think I’ll have to go too deep into your psyche or even access any memories. Anything in your head you don’t want to share it is walled off already subconsciously. I could feel that the first time when I showed you how to throw the rocks. So, your secrets are safe from me prying into your guarded thoughts and indiscretions.” Sky answered their concerns. “Plus, I’m still a cute young girl who’s never even kissed someone other than in friendship. I think you all have stuff in your heads. I’m too young to see.” Sky said with a blushing face looking down and finding her boot laces weren’t all the same length.
Everyone laughed at Sky’s admission to being too young for some of the more adult memories. They all were more relaxed and willing to go through with Todd’s plan on being controlled like robots.
“With using so much magic, I’ll still need someone to cast to the healing spell. When l finish my breakfast is I’ll go ahead and get things set up. I still have to retrieve the pieces I threw out the loading ramp.” Sky said walking to the doorway and turned to everyone quickly finish their meals.
“Jane could you come with me to help put the last pieces onto the ship. It won’t take long to put them on then I can try out how best to split myself to control everyone.” Sky asked waiting at the opening to the mess hall. Jane scooped up the last bit of food and put the tray into the sink to be washed.
“I’ll come along and finish what we started them. I’ll help you get the control thing worked out.” Jane walked by Sky and grabbed her hand as she walked by. “Let’s go Sky the ship is not going to finish itself, sorry you probably heard that lots of times.” They walked hand in hand towards the cargo room. Sky seemed more relaxed with the upcoming day. When they reached the cargo bay sky pulled the parts back in through the cargo ramp. Jane jumped on to the top of the partially build ship so she could attach the last three pieces onto the ship.
Sky hopped up beside Jane and while the large parts followed her as she got ready to place them. The first part went well, and so did the second part. “Jane you’re going to want to stand back a way back from this last piece. There is going to be a pulse of raw lightning magic. Your boots should insulate you somewhat, but I don’t want you to close.” Sky lined up the last piece and got ready to slam it into place. The last part Jane watched as Sky was about to slam into place. It didn’t make a sound as it seemed to pull itself into place and the ship disappeared shortly after there was a low humming that started to grow louder by the second.
Sky shouted to Jane to jump off and away from the ship. She put her hands down onto the surface of the invisible ship. Her sea blue hair in a flash was out of its intricate bun. Jane with little hesitation jumped off the ship and ran toward her scout ship and ran up the ramp and started to raise the ramp a little off the floor. Jane could see Sky on her hands and knees seemingly in mid-air with her hair standing out from her head. She could see and hear static electricity coming out from her hair. She was wondering if Sky was in any pain but seen a smile on her face. “Are you okay over there, you’re not getting electrocuted are you”? Jane said with a wave.
“No, it tickles all over my body like little fingers running up and down my skin. There is too much power flowing through the ship right now, so I’m trying to pull the power out of it. There is too much power for me to hold, but I’m pretty well fully charged up. If I had some blank tomes, I could make a lot of gold in a few seconds. This ship is going to be much more efficient than I calculated. I think I’m going to have to have to make some energy storage for extra power. I don’t know where the power is coming from; I should have been able to pull the power from the surface.” Sky looked to a panel, and she smiled, a charge cable came out from the panel and attached to the ship. After a few minutes, Sky’s hair slowly lost its static electricity, and the lights in the room flashed a little brighter.
“Wow, that’s was a lot of power you’re channelling from your new ship. It’s like a huge talisman that amplifies magical energy.” Conny’s voice was there but no visual interface. “You’re going to have to create that power storage unit before I can appear in here. The energy output is too erratic for my visual interface to appear. I can give you a schematic for one that I know you’ll tweak.”
A schematic for a type of battery appeared in Sky’s mind that looked nothing like a chemical battery for electrical storage. The drawing showed a box covered in runes and was as big as a facial tissue box. It would be easy enough to make. It was hollow and had just the etched runes in the surface. “Jane I’m going to have to make a few storage boxes before we can continue.”
“Sky, why don’t we try the idea of you using us to help build the ship? It would be good practice to try it on me to build your energy storage device.” Jane said as she lowered the ramp and walking towards the ship. Jane watched Sky walk across the top of the ship that wasn’t there. Sky held up her hand that stopped her from walking any further. Jane went to make a gesture of why she stopped her and smacked the side of the ship.
“Why did you stop so far from the edge of the ship? I couldn’t even sense the ship right in front of my face.” Jane said rubbing her sore arm
“I stopped because walking across the surface is creating a lot of power. I guess since there is no need for power for this ship right now anything created is too much. It’ll have to wait for the ship to absorbed extra energy.” Sky took a few slow, soft steps towards the edge and stepped into the open air. Before she hit the ground, she flipped and landed on her booted feet. “Are you ready to be another me for a little while? I think I’ll be able to put the knowledge of how to make everything you need to know. I hope you can handle the information to make the patterns in the molten metals. I don’t want to take over your bodies like robots. I would feel as if you might not be the same after it’s done.” Sky sounded worried as she spoke.
“I’m glad you’re thinking of our sanity. So you could try passing the knowledge first and see how well I can follow your instructions. I think this would be a good test because it’s not part of the original plan.” Jane said as she closed the distance between them.
“I’ll have to give you the rest of the elemental gifts. So you’ll have all five elements so you can do whatever I can once you know how.. I’ll hug you so it will feel more comfortable.” Sky told her as she reached around Jane very athletic body. One of her hands went to Jane’s lower back and the other between her shoulder blades. Sky nestled her head under Jane's chin and her ear to her chest.
Jane felt a warm ripple go through her body and it felt like something euphoric after the ripple passed through her. The feeling multiplied with each pulsed until it started to hurt. Suddenly she felt a new awareness enter her consciousness and the world grew small. Her awareness kept spreading throughout the ship and outer space around her. Her awareness grew until she couldn’t take all the information at once. It was too much, and her legs wobbled folding under her.
Sky seen Jane stumble and started to fall with ease Sky held Jane up as her legs buckled “Are you all right Jane, does it hurt”? Sky didn’t wait for her to answer and she cast a healing spell. The spell made no difference in Jane’s condition. “Jane, can you hear me, Jane”? Sky tried to enter Jane’s awareness and found nothing wrong with her estimation. It just seemed to her that Jane was trying to sense everything around her. It seemed unfocused and random. The bubble she placed around her to keep the rogue mages out was working properly. It had to stay until the physical manipulations they gave her reverted to normal.
Jane heard Sky’s voice through the bombardment of sensory input her new gifts allowed. It was different here than in the practice room. She felt like the magic was hers and not shared. She tried to tell Sky what was wrong but found it difficult to speak clearly. “Too much” was all she managed to say in a weak voice.
Sky realized what she meant right away. She cut Jane off from the elemental gift. The change was almost instant. Jane’s eyes focused on her and smiled. “Are you feeling better sweetie”? Sky said rubbing her back as Jane got her feet firmly on the ground once more.
“I thought it was amazing in the practice room but not going through the spelled doorway is completely different. I could sense and feel everything all around for hundreds of kilometres(hundreds of miles). All the magical gifts open so much of my mind it’s too hard to comprehend. I don’t know how you do it.” Jane said managing to get a little more stable as Sky released her hug.
“I’m not sure it’s going to be easy to have your work with your mind. If you still want to help as an extension of me. It would be as if watching through your own eyes but no control of what your body is doing. I don’t even think you’ll feel what your bodies are doing while they work.” Sky said with a sad look on her face. “I don’t want to make you into just puppets with no control of your own.” She said almost sounding like a plea.
Jane looked into her eyes knowing what Sky wanted to convey. “I know you don’t want to make us into puppets and it will make you feel bad. But think of us watching you push yourself to exhaustion time and time again. It makes us feel useless watching you. To watch you do that is like watching you hurt yourself, it’s painful for us to watch you do it. I think I can speak for all of us as long as there is no permanent damage to any of us, treat us as robots. We all know you wouldn’t do anything to hurt us” Jane said with all confidence in Sky ability to keep them safe.
“It will be safe, but you may never be able to think the same way again. You may think as a Titan after, which is not a bad thing, but different than you are now. It may be hard to keep you from changing your personality too.” Sky said hoping she could see the potential benefits and problems.
“What do you mean about different personalities? You mean we might be different people afterwards? Is there no way of preventing any changes to our minds”? Jane said not wanting to be a different person after helping.
“When I enter your minds to control you. The way my mind works and thinks might leave some imprint on your brain. I don’t know what will happen in the long term effects on your psyche. I don’t want to make any empty promises of your minds being unaffected afterwards.” Sky stated. “I don’t think you’ll have a complete change in personality. You may want a few more hugs and little pecks of the cheek more often and eat a little more.” Sky said jokingly to ease any tension Jane might have. “On the positive, I’m guessing your magic will be easier to use without your tablets. The fact your brains will comprehend more like a supercomputer I think would be more of a huge plus.” Sky gave a slight smile.
“Sky I think I’ll try it. First, you saved me already once, and I think it will be fine if I’m a little like you.” Jane hugged Sky again and kissed her on the head. “Just let us help you. It’s hard to describe watching you do so much for us and not doing anything for you. It goes against our human nature of nurturing and protecting our young. It’s something most decent people will try to do. So let’s see what you can do and let me build your power storage device.” Jane said looking into Sky’s eyes.
“Okay. We’ll try with you being a conduit for a clone of my mental being. After it’s built, I’ll put myself out, and we’ll see how you feel.” Sky stepped away from Jane, and a ghost image of herself remained. “Relax and let the other me enter you. She’ll enter you, take over your body, she’ll have all the knowledge, gifts and power. It’s me, but have no mental connection in any way, so anything you and my mental clone does it won’t affect me with fatigue as it would if I was controlling you myself.”
The semi-transparent double of herself walked to Jane with a smile. Sky’s double entered Jane as if light passing through glass. Jane’s eyes and face went blank for a few seconds then she brought up here hands. She looked around and seen herself in front of her. “Hi, I’m Jane Sky, we have work to do, and Jane is in here with me. She is like a passenger on tour and can only watch and listen from comfort.”
They both walked towards the loading ramp, and she started the process of melting the metals outside of the ship. Sky watched Jane Sky work with a smile. “Don’t try to do too much just one of each liquid metal is good enough at first I think.”
“Yes, that is a good idea, though I wasn’t thinking of working anything more difficult until I see how Jane’s body can take it.” The spells for most of the metal process was already in place so as the metal was melting. She started to draw out the shapes she needed. Within seconds six squares were drawn on the ground with runes raised so they would be as if etched into the surface. The liquid metal was piped into the moulds and began the process of precisely filling the moulds.
Sky watched Jane Sky fill the moulds as if she was doing it herself. It only took a few minutes once the process started and finished. She watched the pipes of liquid metal moved away from the pieces of the storage unit. They both walked to the pieces and sky looked over them and motioned to her twin to withdraw from Jane.
An image of Sky stepped out from Jane, and her body slumped down slightly before she caught herself. Jane blinked a few times rapidly to clear her vision and thoughts. “I feel a little different, but I think I’m the same person. I don’t have any cravings or memories of things I didn’t do. At least that’s what I think. I remember all of my training in the military and magical studies.” Jane looked to her tablet and had a puzzled look on her face. “Why am I using a tablet because I know them all by heart and can cast them at will? Okay maybe I’m a little different, but I’m not going to complain about it.’ Jane said with a smile. “Just joking, everything else seems to be the same I think, not that I would know.”
Sky walked up to the parts and started to assemble them. Once it was all together, it was ready to be placed on the ship. When she hopped up onto the ship, and the ship used the kinetic energy to make electrical power. The mass of static electrical power raised her hair. She walked to a corner and placed them in the floor in a corner. Once the box touched the hard surface, it drew in the power that was running wild over the ship. Her hair fell to its normal bouncy locks. “It seems to be working well, and it should store quite a bit of magical energy. At least it should store the energy till the ship is up and working.” She said beckoning Jane to join her on the ship, and her replica spirit followed her. “I think the test went well everything seems to be working as I hoped. Once everyone gets here, I’ll replicate enough of myself to enter anybody who wants to help.” Sky said as she watched Jane hope up on to the open deck of the cargo bay.
Fred was the first one to come into the cargo bay. The others were right behind him and almost bumped into him as he slowed down to a stop. The ship Sky and Jane worked on was gone, and there was no sign of the two ladies. “Conny could you locate Sky and Jane on the ship; I don’t see them anywhere.” Fred looked back at everyone with a questioning look. Todd, Courtney, And Heather walked towards the own ship to check on it to see are anyone was on board it.
Conny answer Fred before he could move very far from where he stopped. “Sky and Jane are in front of you on the new ship, careful you’re not too far from it.” Fred and everyone looked around to see if they could see some distortion caused by most cloaked ships. It wasn’t till Sky poked her head out of the opening of the cargo bay opening.
Sky hopped down leaving Jane and the semi-transparent Sky. She faced Fred and stood to attention and gave him a salute. “Sky Knight ready to start working on the moving parts and the interior.” The clone jumped down and stood beside Sky and gave the same salute. “I also worked out the way you could help build the ship.” As she was talking, she took a wide side step leaving behind another semi-transparent Sky and repeated this till there was one for everyone. “These cute young ladies are just like me, but with no real physical body. Jane and I figured that the side effects increased memory,” Sky gave Jane a wink. “And no need for your tablets. At least for a while, Jane hasn’t lost any of her memory of the spells she has.” A Sky stood in front of everyone there getting ready to enter each crew member. Sky looked to each Sky and smiled. “When you’re ready beckon in the Sky in front of you, take a deep breath and relax your body. I’ll be able to feel and see everything as she works through your body. It should be like being in a dream. If all goes well, we should be able to finish in two days. Captain Fred Sir I think you should only work for a little while because you still have to run the ship.”
“I was about to tell you that myself, I believe I should leave it to everyone after I work for a while. I want too able to react to anything in case something happens while we approach from the solar system a different direction.” Fred told Sky before he beckons her clone to stand in front of him. Almost as one, they all beckoned in their different Sky before them.
Todd was the first to have a Sky take over his body. His face softened, and he started to look over his own body. Jane laughed when he cupped his crotch as he noticed the difference in Todd Sky’s new anatomy. He blushed and quickly let go with a slight wince of pain. “I think there’s going to be times I’ll leave him to himself. These are things I don’t need to know about for a long time.” Todd Sky said to anyone listening.
Joe Sky and Fred Sky pretty much did the same thing but with varied discomfort after cupping their groins. Heather and Courtney Sky grouped their breast a little. They turned to each other “I hope mine get this big one day, they feel amazing.” There were multiple coughs as a signal not to continue, and they both blushed. Jane’s Sky went and entered her body once more.
Sky stepped out in front of everyone and started to give instructions. “I know you all know what and how to do everything needed. Joe Sky you can start on the plumbing since Joe worked out some of the plumbing problems and fixtures. Fred, Heather and Courtney Sky can work on the bridge. You can get the consoles and flight chairs for the first flight. Todd Sky you can work on the two turrets and the other weapons on the ship. Jane Sky and I will work on the ramp, landing gear, and all the opening to the outside of the ship.” She said, and all the Sky’s walked towards where the liquid metal was being piped in. Joe Sky started creating a mould of bathroom fixtures. He made a fancy toilet and sink for a new standard in the ship.
Todd was making a form of two turrets and guns that will go in them. Fred worked on making the bases for the chair for the bridge's crew seating. The chairs also contained the new controls for the ship. Heather and Courtney Sky started to work on the magical electronics and other things the controls hooked up. They had an extra pipe of liquid for a transparent liquid that was to be used as screens and another thing that was see-through on a ship.
Sky and Jane Sky worked together on the ramp so it could be installed quickly. They knew things would go more quickly if they had easier access on to the ship.
Everything was progressing quietly because communication was not needed because they were all of the same minds and knew exactly what the others were doing. The ramp was finished quite quickly because there were two Sky’s working on the same thing, even though it had very complex runes embedded in the metal. The landing gear was also easily made because it was three identical pieces. The skid plates were part of the bottom of the ship when retracted and would blend in seamlessly. Once installed the ship no longer needed to be suspended by magic.
Joe Sky finished four of the basic bathroom fixtures because they had next to no runes embedded in them, mostly just solid materials. He just waited for Sky and Jane Sky to install the ramp on the ship. Once the ramp was in place, Sky jerry-rigged the ramp to open and close to make sure the ramp blended seamlessly into the ships power matrix. Once the ramp was in place, the ship could not be seen or even sensed by anyone outside of the ship even with their five elemental gifts. Sky could see everyone and even project thoughts to them.
On the other hand, they could not initiate contact from the other side. Once discovered Sky informed Todd Sky that he had to incorporate a retractable antenna in one of the turrets for communications. Sky lowered the ramp so Joe Sky could bring in the fixtures he had worked. Sky and Jane Sky started on the interior doors which were very simple compared to all of the other things they had worked. The doors were the pocket type and would be made to fit seamlessly once closed a door by a colour outline. Unless you had the right authorization, they were tampering proof. The doors were finished quickly because of their simplicity, and the fact two Sky’s were working on the installation was also quick and easy. So, they started work on the sleeping quarters for the immediate crew. They wanted to finish all the necessary parts. First, they would finish everything when there was more time to spare and no galaxy to save.
Todd Sky had Sky help a little when he had to place the turret on to the ship. The turret on the top had the retractable antenna for general communication. Once installed the turrets became as invisible as the rest of the ship. They both stood back and couldn’t see the fruits of their labours. The two Sky’s looked at each other. “I guess we’ll have to wait to charge the ship so we can see it once it’s finished.” They both laughed when their voices were in sync with each other. Todd Sky went back and started to finish the weapons that were meant to go in the forward part of the ship. The four pulse lasers used three pipes of liquids to make them once he finished the pattern. The four new parts took a lot more time because of the intricate work on the runes that went into them.
The Sky’s could see how well everything was going on the ship with so many working on it at once. Fred was finishing with the command chairs and was asking Conny to make the cushions and fabric to cover them. He sent the designs and specs to Conny for the finishing touches. Courtney and Heather Sky both were working on the interior of the consoles that were solid and had no actual wires or separate circuitry inside. The control orbs were made just like the ones in the virtual model. They took the longest to make because they all had to work independently or in sync with each other even with the fact they were not touching. Once in place on the ship, the floor made the actual connections to the other consoles. The only problem of this system was any upgrades was to replace all of the consoles. Other than that, they were tamperproof and nearly indestructible. She didn’t need to tell anyone that once placing the consoles, they could power up the ship and see it from the outside.
Todd Sky finished the pulse lasers he had to wait for the finished consoles and put in place. While waiting Todd Sky helped Joe Sky finish the rest of the bathroom fixtures. They quickly finished also and installed them with perfect efficiency. They even had time to put in the new shower in the guest rooms and start on the additional beds for the unused crew quarters. Conny made the mattresses and all the cushions for the beds and chairs on the new ship. The lockers were made as well and soon after the footlockers for all the crew quarters. The thin materials of the lockers and footlockers were made very quickly and made ready to put into place. With four Sky’s working together on the small things went very quickly.
Fred finished the command, pilot, and other chairs with the special ones with the new orb controls. All but the cushions were put into place and ready for the cushions. He was able to still communicate with the Sky in his head. “After I finish these chairs on the bridge, I’m going to see about commanding the ship till we make it to the entry point of the Rebel’s solar system. It seems that everyone here is going to be finished soon also. I never thought we could get so much finished in three hours.” The Sky that was in his body agreed with what they had accomplished.
“Sorry about the fondling of your privates. I didn’t know what I was feeling at first, and then I was just kind of curious about what it looked like. I won’t do it again, and I’ll blank out that part of my memories before joining with the original Sky.”
Fred Sky left the room and went to pick up the things Conny had made up for the new ship. He was surprised when he entered the crew supply room and now all the soft parts and fabrics for the ship. The stacks of mattresses and chair cushions reached almost to the ceiling. There was a huge pile of linens and one separate sack to be made into a pocket space to hold it all. “Thanks, Conny the colours of the seat’s covers look amazing.” Fred Sky said as he cast the spell over the plain looking sack.
“No problem Fred Sky, Swan and I wanted to help out the best we can. Seeing everyone pitch in really made us feel left out. So, we made them the most complex cushions and chair cushions possible. We used your imbedded runes idea to enhance the comfort of the foam. You’ll see what we mean once you sit or lay on them.” Conny said with the occasional word said by Swan.
Fred Sky smiled as he started to put the mattresses into the sack, then he started on the linen. The seat cushions went in last because they would be the first ones out. Fred Sky swung the empty looking sack over his shoulder and said goodbye to Conny and Swan as he left the room. Back on the new ship Courtney and Heather Sky were finishing the consoles as Fred Sky walked into the cargo bay. They used telekinetic to lift the consoles to carry them into the ship. Fred Sky followed them on to the ship to help place them and put on the cushions onto the chairs. He put the sack onto the command chair and helped place the smaller console just in front of the seat, and it made a snapping sound as it fused into place. The same sound filled the bridge as the consoles found their places. Fred Sky started to pull out the cushions and as if guided by magnets placed the seat cushions. They shifted themselves into places when they were close enough to touch.
Once all the cushions were in place, he asked the Sky controlling his body to give him back control. She immediately complied and left his body to himself. Now with his body to his own he went and sat in the command chair. He couldn’t believe how it conformed to his body and made him relax and want to stay there. Reluctantly he got out of the chair and was instantly jealous of Todd being the captain of the new ship. He was going to talk to Joe about trading Little Tooth for the new ship.
Fred was leaving the bridge as Courtney was powering up the ship to perform some test and uncloak the ship so Todd Sky could install the four pulse lasers. Just as Fred stepped out from the ship, it came into sight. It looked amazing to Fred, it had no seams, and its surface was mirrored and with no distortion. It was perfect from his point of view, and the Sky’s walked by smiling in satisfaction of a job well done. Now to complete it, it needed a few more small control panels for the loading ramp and turrets which took no time with three people working on them. Sky took the sack and put the mattresses in place and linen on the beds. Courtney and Heather Sky made the size of the rooms even larger than on Little Tooth with magic. Now, it was the same ship minus the fact the pool was empty and the extra computer terminals in the guest rooms and throw rugs. All of the rooms facing the outside had panels to control the wall’s transparency, for security reasons. The cargo bay was just as big as the Little Tooth for the simple reason Sky said why not it’s not a true fleet ship.
The crew finished everything in four hours were all ecstatic rather than the three days inside the time shift. Standing outside the ship, the Sky’s controlling them made the apologies for the fondling of their body parts and the comments she made when she first entered their bodies. Sky was glad that there were no built up pressures to make her focus on body parts she had not had. They left the crews bodies, and all walked into the original Sky becoming one and instantly sharing all that they did.
Sky blushed she neglected to erase the unneeded memories and took a few minutes to do so. Her boots, she noted needed a shoeshine/
“Let’s take a quick tour of the ship, and Todd can come up with a name for her.” It was strange walking up a ramp that seemed to take up the whole width of the cargo bay now that the special’ distortions are in effect. They could almost walk through the entire ship side by side and found it just as incredible as the virtual simulation they had practiced. There were some differences liked all the linen on the beds were the same brown and white, and there were no extra furnishings in it.
The kitchen had nothing in it as well. But you could tell it the crew did it that way to save time. Sky looked in the empty kitchen and sighed. “After the missions, I’ll come in here with mommy and daddy to finish off this part and bring some of the food from Little Tooth’s pantry.” She said before she moved on with the tour of the ship. They all didn’t care too much about what they were looking at really till they stepped on to the bridge and the system was fully powered up.
Seeing all of the actual systems working was breathtaking. The seen Fred, William, and Rocssanna walk into the room. The system gave them any information they could want on the three people walking in. Fred and William were both carrying a bottle of champagne each. Fred’s was room temperature while Williams was chilled and kept at the perfect temperature with magic. Williams champagne was also one of the better brands to be had in this side of the galaxy.
Todd knew what Fred was going to have him do and now he had to come up with a name quickly. They watched the three walks up to the ship and ran their fingers along the surface of the ship. It should not have been possible to see them touching the parts blocked by several wall and rooms. The bridge was the only place in the ship that could have a nearly perfect view around the entire outside.
They watched was Rocssanna walked up under the ramp to the centre of the ship occasionally tapping the hull. The ship’s sensors measured the taps in the thousand-kilo(1-ton) range of force, yet no sound or tremors felt. Everyone now knew that the Knights were the gentlest beings they could imagine. They all the touch of Rocssanna and Williams and felt their hard flesh. Yet, they never received injuries from their touch. They knew they were strong, but to see just how strong a different story was. They all turned to Sky remembering something about Sky being stronger than her parents and her hugging them. The crew saw the Knights with new reverence and respect. They were humble, kind and never tried to make others feel inferior to them.
Courtney knew that racing Sky was like racing a bullet. She would only win if Sky let her which was not going to happen. Sky would just let her come close and force her to keep breaking her records. She would not lie to her and let her win to make her feel good knowing it would be like a pity ploy. Todd looked to her and seen a little sister who would share her toys but could never really give them away. Jane saw her as a loving sister who only needed emotional protection and the sister who would get all she could give. Heather thought at least my breasts are way bigger than hers and going by her mother they all ways will be, ahah.
Fred and William were standing in the front of the ship holding up the two bottles and beckoning them out. “Company assembles front and centre,” Fred called out with a smile waving the bottle. They made their way out to where the captain and two cooks were standing. It was so much faster to get there after leaving the ship because of the spatial-distortion used inside the ship. It was still nearly three times the size of Little Tooth even with Sky’s adding the extra space. Once they reached Captain Fred, they stood to attention and gave him a salute.
“As we all know at least most of us know.” He said looking to Sky with a smile. “All new ships are christened before their maiden voyage. It is also the custom to name the ship at the time of the christening. Since you redesigned, built most the ship even supplying almost all of the materials yourself. I think it’s only fair that you get to get the honour to perform both.” He said handing the bottle to her.
Sky looked surprised at the gesture and shook her head. “I think as Todd is going to be captain of the ship, he should get the honour.” She said and motioned him to take the bottle.
Todd was still trying to come up with a name and just drew blanks. “No, you did too much to pass up this honour. I’m more than happy to be able to pilot the amazing craft on its maiden voyage. No, you do it; you deserve all of the praise for this incredible ship, name her well.” Todd said taking the bottle from Fred and giving it to Sky.
Sky hesitantly took the bottle and had no idea what was expected of her. “Captain Fred Sir what do I do I’m too young to drink, and we have no glasses.” She looked to the ship, and its shining mirrored metallic surface and knew what to call her.
William was the one to answer her. “We’ll let you have a little sip or two, but that bottle is to be broken over the bow of the ship when you name her. You don’t need to say a speech, though you're welcome to say a few words. Just a few though I can see that everyone wants to try her out so don’t ramble on with empty words. You could...” William was silenced by a hand on his shoulder with a whisper in his ear. “Just shut up already honey,” Rocssanna said loud enough for everyone to hear.
Sky smiled at her mommy. She then remembers that everyone’s eyes on her and blushed. She was shy not used to talking to so many people. She turned to address the new ship and readied herself to speak loud and clear. “You were born of need and conceived for life. You are the hopes of many and the scourge of evil. Love is what made you and to preserve over hate. Before you go out into the night and full fill your destiny, I call you Shining Fang.” She said in an increasing volume and punctuated the last works smashing the bottle onto the bow of the ship. A ripple went over the shiny metallic surface from the impact as if accepting the name with the loud thunder of discharged electrical energy.
