The Adventures of Steve, a Lovecraftian God
Book One: Summoned to Another World
Prologue: My Pet ate the actual Hero so I was Summoned Instead.
There are many things in this world that people do not understand. One of these things was resting in an obsidian throne in his personal dimension. He was in his true form, well one of them, and it was a sight to behold. This one invoked Fear and Terror, he had pale almost purplish blue skin. His facial features were nearly nonexistent. Instead of a nose there were fingers and other appendages, as he breathed they moved and wriggled grotesquely. He was a Lovecraftian God, though not exactly a Great Old One. No beings bound by sanity could look at his name let alone pronounce it.
He chuckled as the moniker his worshippers called him rose to his minds forefront. They called him Steve, he does not know why they called him that, but it amused him so he let it be. He gave a long bored sigh before he arose, his grotesque form wriggling and crackling as he did. As he fully stood up he gave a loud Sharp whistle, or as close to one as he could without actual lips in this form. The black stone walls of the dimension shook and shuddered as the being answered his call.
A mawed tentacle made its way around the corner, until its owner appeared. It was grotesque, a bizarre amalgamation and fusion of mouths, tendrils, and other fleshy appendages, looking like something depicted in an illustration from Lovecraft. That is pretty much what the creature is, the closest direct appearance would be some depictions of Azathoth. “Come here boy, come on.” At Steve’s urging the monstrosity crawled towards him, it started licking him with one of its fleshy tendrils. “Down, Boy.” As Steve reprimanded the being it gave a sad whimper and held itself lower to the ground.

Seeing his pet obeying He praised it. “Who’s a good little Eldritch Abomination, you are yes you are.” He paused to grab its leash, an ordinary leash that looked for to small for something of its size. “Do you want to go for a walk around Earth, with all the walking Snacks?” At the question the Horror wriggled in a way that could be construed for joy, though it was hard to tell. Amidst its celebration, its grotesque form contorting and twisting into a smaller form. It took a while for it to take the smaller more Earth Friendly form.
It took the form of a small dog, barely out of its puppy years, it was part Malamute and part Charpei. Though this form would normally be considered cute, if not utterly adorable, the way its maw was currently unhinged with countless tentacles burrowing into it, made it much more disturbing. Soon enough its light golden brown fur wriggled and contorted as it fully took a more mundane shape. It gave a slight yipping bark in excitement, Steve chuckled in response before he moved towards the harmless looking puppy before hooking the leash onto a collar that had appeared as if by magic and putting that on the excited ball of fur.
He rubbed the animal’s fur before he snapped his fingers to open a portal to Earth. He gave a click of his tongue as he stepped through the Portal, the furry monstrosity followed him through. They appeared in what was the picture of a typical American street, well an alleyway off of one. The puppy started yapping as someone entered the alley. He turned to look at the direction Fluffy had been barking at, a tall athletically built man with light blond hair entered the Alley. They man froze upon seeing him and let out a scream that was girly in nature, contrasting heavily with his masculine appearance.

Steve frowned and felt at his face for a moment, trying to see what was wrong. He got his answer when some of the appendages on his face started to grab at his hand. He turned around and started to shift into his Human form. His grotesquely formed and hideously tall body cracked as it condensed. When it was all done an above average in height and athletically built young man was standing where he was before. He had slightly tanned skin short spiky hair; it was a dark bluish black. He was wearing a black jacket over a light blue shirt and dark jeans.
He felt his face once more and quickly pulled the areas where his face was on wrong to correct it. He turned back around and started to ask something. “There is that bett--?!?!? Damnit Fluffy.” The reason for his exclamation was Fluffy was in the middle of consuming the formerly unconscious young man. “I told you not to eat anyone unless I gave you permission. Haaah, fine just go ahead and finish him, since he is already dying.” Steve turned around as he felt a surge of magic in another direction, then back as a magic circle started to form under the dying young man. He frowned as Fluffy and the young man’s corpse vanished, back to his personal domain.
The magic circle relocated underneath Steve, it happened to quickly and he wasn’t able to gather enough of his power to combat it. He went along with it, it could be rather interesting. The process was painful, more so that any summoning magic he had experienced before, this was in part due to how crude it was. IT took a moment for him to reorient himself; he was in a different plane of existence, one far removed from the source of his power, mostly. He heard an enchanting voice somewhere in front of him saying something. “-elcome Heroes, may the Gods guide your path.” His response was rather succinct, as he face palmed he said “You gotta be shitting me!!”
