《The Worst》Chapter 28 -

Red's POV
The girls had some trouble learning telepathy, in particular Red, whose psychic powers were rather weak in the real world, In the virtual world she was akin to a god with her psychic powers but now she understood that it was all the system's doing, in the real world she couldn't even make a tiny explosion happen, she could use telepathy and telekinesis seperated but together was rather straining and painful.
"By the way how long have we stayed in the real world?"
Lidie asked, after all they had lost track of time while training. Red was too into learning to care about the time that passed and Galie was too enthousiastic about teaching them.
"Just go to sleep"
Red said, since this was one of their rare breaks, Red had become sort of a leader in their group. for a few days now they had went over and over about how telepathy works. Red was in fact somewhat jealous of Lidie, who in an instance understood how to use basic telepathy, of course it was far from perfect but hearing her ghastly voice in your head was still considered a success of sorts.
Red had difficulties in that matter, it was really strange, every time she thought that she got it right it slipped away and instead created some random telekinetic effect.
Of course they were both far from using the floating crystals but Lidie was a step closer than her.
Red saw a rather disturbing dream tonight.
She was in a dark room akin to her cage and around her everything was dark, the door to the cage was open but instead of Galie a white floating mask was there.
She didn't know why, but she felt fear towards it, she begun running in a sort of a labyrinth that looked akin to the pyramid, the walls and doors made of the same crystal material. At every dead end she saw a white mask and every door she passed closed behind her until she woke up.
"Wake up!"
The releaving voice came from Lidie, who understood she was having a nightmare, Galie was still sleeping, but after the sound also woke up for a little while somewhat annoyed but fell asleap again almost instantly, after all she was too tired, Lidie and Red were tired too but Lidie was still thinking when she heard Red sleep talking.
It was the first time Red had seen a nightmare, in the virtual world there were no dreams at all and sleeping was always fulfilling.
Red like a small child who was lost begun crying in Lidie's arms, it was rather strange to see but it was something that made them get closer to each other in the following days.
After Red fell asleep once more, Lidie in the middle of the "night"(In reality they couldn't exactly tell the time inside the pyramid) went to the capsule room and sent a message to Mary and explained what was going on and later went to sleep next to Red and Galie. It was a good thing that Galie had a rather large bed.

Zephir's POV
Zephir was in a rather bad situation with Verina, at least until he learned that Simon returned from a friend of his.
"Veri, why do you want to go to the training hall right away, I'm sure that you already know everything that you need to know, be more at a leisure and everything will be fine"
Zephir said somewhat worried about her going back to training and interacting with other people.
"Zephy, you know that after graduating you gain your second clearance pass and there's only 60 to go after that, hidden in w12"

Verina said, she was a lot better but still seemed pale, if someone saw her he would definetely taken her for a vampire right now. Those bloodshot eyes and shaking hands were rather disturbing and her claws hadn't been cut or trimmed for days now, taking a rather strange form.
It was of course good that they were still in the virtual world because in the real world things like those were rather hard to recover from.
Zephir was rather worried so he sneakily watched over Verina going to the training facility, he had used the surveilance faction of her ID to look after her, if anything was to happen he would instantly rush to her aid.
Of course nothing happened and he had to watch a dull uneventful training day. Zephir however wasn't too bored after all watching his girl sweat was exciting by itself.
He couldn't take his eyes off of his monitor, as he saw his wife trying her best in the athletic field and in class, he felt rather proud, after all he could be also considered as her teacher.
While still looking at the monitor Zephir took out a strange device from his Inventory, this device was his greatest treasure, even Simon hadn't seen it as it never left his guardian Inventory.
It looked like a large copy machine, one used long ago with a large metalic press and some empty spaces for things like letters, only that this didn't take letters.
"Now lets make a 2nd clearance weapon for her"
He said as he begun inputting metalic cubes with codes into the strange copy machine, lastly he took a lumb of metal and put it under the press.
The press didn't fall instantly first it was heaten up by some strange power and then it fell on the lumb of metal instantly liquifying it.
All Zephir had to do now was wait for the result, this press was a rather strange item given to him by Red, in truth Red's passion is creating Items, although she herself has probably an even better Item creation system than the press but for low clearance guardians like Zephir this press was priceless.
With it he could create Items of up to his own clearance level, only problem was that he didn't have enough effect codes, and the codes he had were rather weak, but they stacked nicely to create low quality weapons that could be used in the virtual world and even in the games, although using weapons of highter clearance than your own will make the weapon disappear, when you take it out of your inventory the system simply bans it for you saying you have now a high enough clearance to use it.
The codes Zephir had were only four but they were rather useful, minor poison was rather weak but if you insert more than twenty it became a deadly poison attack, minor life steal was his favourite although at low clearance it was as good as shit, minor fire and ice damage were his decision for low level weapons although combining ice with poison or fire with life steal made for good effects, after all fire had the burn property and ice the chill property.
Zephir of course didn't have a way to gain other codes and Red probably wouldn't be kind enough to supply him with more codes anymore. Of course all that didn't matter after all, in the end all they wanted was a calm life without any stress and struggles.
Of course a guardian's life was nothing but calm, they had duties to perform and although Zephir's centurion didn't care much about power struggles he had given him two tasks to take care of.

Of course he was rather lenient with him because of his eminent mariage and stuff but he still had to do missions afterwards, like patroling the floating isle or going on Dungeon raids with his group.
His leader was rather happy that Verina was also a guardian since she would enter their ranks as well, that ment one more person for patrol and less working hours for the rest.
The floating Isle had 100 sectors each was supervised by a centurion and the lost of Frost was a rather large loss for the Guardians, reason being was there was no one to supervise if the patrols were going on at all. Just lying, there was no damage at all, the centurions were too lazy to supervise in the first place, all that happened was one less corrupt superviser. You have to understand that bribing a centurion wasn't easy but if someone knew what he liked he could skip all his patrols, just by offering a few gifts or services.
Zephir was one who knew how to bribe his superiors, items made by the strange press were enough to make his leader quite happy, although he was now forced to make items for him every time their durability reached zero or they got lost. Losing Items in Allastar or other worlds was easy, since disarming techniques were rather popular even among common players, not to speak about guardians who went through military discipline and training. At least some of them did, after all Zephir only stayed there for a week, but he was rather good at pleasing his supperiors.
"Who is that prick!"
Zephir suddenly shouted after seeing Ameth approaching her and talking for some time, he didn't have sound surveilance at the moment but he instantly activated it.
-So if you Join the Green Diva, there will be no danger at all, you can even invite your boyfriend to join-
Ameth was saying but from the surveilance screen his voice sounded sort of mechanical and made up.
-I don't know I think I have to talk to Zephir about it first-
Verina said, she wasn't sure about what this was all about, after all it's the first day Ameth had ever approached her.
-You know Simon, he has also Joined and believe me there are more advantages to working for Green that working for Blue-
Ameth said, making Verina confused, of course only centurions knew of that inner struggle in the Divas ranks, how could a trainee have an Idea about it.
Even Zephir didn't know much about it, he had only scarsely heard about some arguements among Divas by Red but he wasn't too into it because Red was neutral and didn't care about their petty infightings.
Most Divas didn't believe one or the other side could unsurp the Empresses' throne, after all each time they saw her they could feel pressure from her immense power.
-Wait, are you saying that Simon is also on your side?-
Verina asked and the mere Idea of being Simon's opponent made her shiver for a moment, after all she knew full well about what Simon was capable of doing.
-I will ask Simon first, if he says that what you say is true then I will join and even ask Zephir to join your side-
Verina wasn't so trusting of Ameth but after getting a rather stupid reply from Simon she had no way but join their side.
Zephir helplessly looked through the monitor how someone recruited his wife, it was rather strange but he agreed with her decision, he too dreaded Simon's ability for mind control. He couldn't even remember some of the things he had done during the mind control, making it even more dreadful.
This is how Zephir and Verina ended up in Simon's team in Allastar since in the end they just went traveling with him, Jak too was interested in gaining a few clearances, after all other than the Arena and the god clearance she had no other clearance.
=====================================================
The 5 clearances in Allastar were...
1.Hero Academy of Anchora clearance.
If someone gained a legendary hero status from the Academy they also gained a clearance. It might sound easy but gaining the status needed a lot of time.
2.Mage Academy of the Mage council clearance.
If someone graduated from the mage academy he also gained a clearance, this was rather easy to gain but it sucrificed a profession slot of which they only had two and mastering the mage profession was too expensive.
Disclaimer.
Mastering a profession doesn't mean reaching Archon in the profession, just reaching master is enough to gain another profession, Master is someone who has learned all the profession's skills while archon has mastered all the profession's skills.
Profession ranks are...
Novice (0/1.000 skillpoints)
Apprentice (1.000/10.000)
Trainee (10.000/100.000)
Graduate (100.000/200.000)
Qualified (200.000/500.000)
Journeyman (500.000/1.000.000)
Professional (1.000.000/5.000.000)
Specialist (5.000.000/15.000.000)
Master (15.000.000/60.000.000)
Archon (60.000.000)
Skill mastery
Untrained 0skillpoints
Beginner 100skillpoints
Advanced 1000skillpoints
Greater 10000skillpoints
Specialise 100000skillpoints
Master 1000000skillpoints
There are 60 skills per profession and a single skill when you reach Archon, of course I'm too lazy to make a status window for them now so I'm just stating them for you to know that mastering a skill or profession is not so easy.
3.Arena champion of Drogan clearance.
If someone defeats the champion of the arena, he gains a clearance, challenging the champion means that you have passed the qualifications to do so, it's the fastest clearance to get, only that the current champion is a centurion who doesn't let anyone gain this clearance.
4.Merit for a kingdom clearance.
If you perform an act of great merit for any one of the kingdoms you will gain another clearance, only that such quests are rather rare to get and need at least a good relationship with the country's leader.
Reaching legendary hero in the academy however might earn such a quest, so it's not so rare for people have this clearance.
5.God favor clearance.
Doing a favor for a god gets you a clearance level, quests from a god are only given to priests of people who have a large amount of favor from a god.
Favor is too hard to gain if you are trying to gain favor without knowing more about the specific God.
The reasom I'm clearing where they are is because now all sides know where to go to get a clearance, so there's no reason for you not to know as well.

Galie's POV
"At last!"
Galie said relieved as Red figured out how to send a small sound through telepathy, it was more like shouting inside your head but at least she was in the right direction.
Galie was the only one who knew how many days passed but to her it didn't really matter. As for Mary she had long age asked her to move to her house but she didn't want to, thus there was nothing she could do about it.
"Lidie, did you clear the second step to telepathy yet?"
Red asked while panting from exhaustion, for her telepathy was rather straining and tiresome. Of course the reason was that she could only use it while shouting and using more psychic power than needed, she couldn't yet control how loudly her shout would be heard in someone's elses mind.
'if you mean by second step the first one, then yes I have cleared it'
Lidie send her a message through telepathy, it was somewhat silent but it was clear, no longer the ghastly sound she send before.
"Can we play for a while, you can train more inside the game, after all the dungeon has probably already disappeared"
Galie said, after all they didn't really care about the dungeon, they were have enough fun in the real world as it was, but now it was time to return to the game, after all they didn't want to age.
In reality Darknym could just turn them immortal, but even Galaxia didn't know that.
Red was probably the only one who was somewhat reluctant to return to the game, after all she couldn't use her hacking skills inside anymore and would have to play by the rules, unless...
"Galie would you mind if I try modifying my capsule a little"
Truth was Red was a little into who capsules worked, after all she modified her own capsule herself, of course doing it was rather hard, but it was well worth it. Red was the Diva most into electronics, she liked to work with the hardware and even in the virtual world could craft strange items non other could create, like the sealing collars, she could be seen as one of the most valuable Divas in their midst.
"Suit yourself"
Galaxia said as she teleported them to the capsule room, Red who was here for the second time was once more dazzled by the multiple strange capsules that were all around, of course she would be even more surprised if she knew that the wall on the other side of the hall was also a capsule but she didn't know that, even Lidie didn't know it, although the word written were rather rude and out of place.
'I hope he doesn't mean me'
Lidi thought, after all she didn't do anything bad, at least not something to earn Darknym's hatred.
"Don't give much mind to the words, it's just Golgo, pissed Dad off and he in a fit of anger took his revenge on the capsule"
Galie said, having seen that they were looking at the words.
"Who is Golgo?"
Red asked but Lidie was fast to the answer.
"Her pet"
She intentionaly consealed the dragon, because it would make their discussion longer and she was somewhat in a haste to enter the game.
"Are these the game capsules?"
Red asked seeing that they were already in front of a few gaming capsules and didn't move at all.
"Yes, don't you need tools of something?"
Lidie asked knowing that it was probably impossible for Red to replicate Darknym's psychic powers to work on the capsule.
Red was already a bit unsure, truth was that there were more than enough capsules for them to use but these capsules were weird in a sense, after all they were costum made.
Red thought that she would need multiple tools to open the capsule but to her surprise, the capsule's walls were just floating in place, there were no bolts or something to hold them in place.
Even with her telekinesis she could easily open the back of the capsule but what she saw blew her mind away, the inside was completely empty and only on the walls she could see some wires and strange little crystals imbeded in it.
The technology here was alien to her, she could do nothing but put the wall in place and smile rather helplessly.
"Did you finish so fast?"
lidie asked, making her feel even worse.
"Have you seen what's inside the capsules?"
Red asked, but to her surprise the anser was "No".
Lidie didn't care about the capsules her goals were different than Red's and Galie's, she still had dreams of a revolution.
"Lets go inside, after all we know they work"
Lidie said, they had lost enough time already in teaching Red telepathy, which made Lidie somewhat angry, but the greatest reason was that Mary wouldn't be with them anymore, losing their team's stealth expert was a rather large hit for her.
"Why so hasty all of a sudden?"
Red asked, after all even if they took their time nothing would change, adding stress and preassure was only making them uncomfortable.
Galie didn't know what was going on but it was probably going to end with another rude arguement.
"Stop it, lets just enter and see if the dungeon dissapeared and if Red is still a kitten or not"
They had only those two thoughts right now, since if the dungeon did not disappear yet, they would have to wait for it to do so. Truth was that they were sick and tired of fighting with the undead and with each floor the battles became harder and harder.
Entering their capsules a light as bright as the day flashed as they appeared in Allastar once more.

The apocalypse was something that people were expecting to happen sooner or later, rising sea levels and everything. What our protagonist didn't expect was it to be from a system, let alone the fact that he missed it. Waking up as an elemental and being given frighteningly little info from a system that seemed a little off , stuck with 3 other eccentric individuals that he could almost swear are a bit dodgy, and not being quite sure he was human anymore, it was the start of a long day. It only got longer when he found out he was moved to a whole different world. ~ This is a slow burn story, focusing on the world and what happens if an eccentric historian gets transported in a world with systems and power that are not quite meant for him. ~ Some things you can expect: -No harem, god no. -Yes the protagonist is strong, no he isn't completely OP. -Other people who have been changed, he isn't the only special or chosen one who got transported or messed with. -It is sad to actually have to put this here, but the main character does shockingly have common sense.

Empress' Evolution
The bright red light of the flames swallowed her vision but soon that red light transformed into a blue hue and she was dragged into that light. ‘What’s happening?’ It was too bright and she was forced to close her eyes, she was blinded — even though she was already dead. After being pulled into the light she began to feel annoyed as her skin was irritated by some kind of rough sand. By the time she opened her eyes. She could see the full view of the sky. It was blue and there were clouds scattered about. ‘Ugh, is this Hell?’ She stated as she rubbed her head with her fluffy and furry ‘hand’. ‘Furry?’ She looked at her ‘hands’ and her mouth opened wide. Her hands had become soft and fluffy paws of a white-furred beast with purple spots. ‘What the hell?’ She touched her face with her paws and confirmed that it too did not belong to a human. Below, she felt something was moving, she can tell as if it was another limb connected to her. ‘Don’t tell me!’ Turning her head around, she found a seven-inch tail sticking out behind. ‘Phew!’ She felt relieved that it wasn’t what she thought it was. “These soft and paws, this cuddly fluffy hair, this cute tail — ah shit, did I become a beast after my death or have I been dreaming of being human as a beast all this time? If it is the latter that is one long and realistic dream.” === [It’s the former, stupid *] === Said a woman’s voice from in her head. === As always thank you for reading, also the image in the cover is not mine, I found it on Pinterest and thought it was cool and suitable. All credits got to the illustrator. Also, this is a new type of story that I have not read about yet. Basically I am writing an evolution novel without prior knowledge so I don't really know what is considered cliche in this genre.
