《The Worst》Chapter 33 - Too Hasty, Too Greedy

The next day all four of them were awake and clothed and sitting on the couch of the living room. Chris once more was in his custom wheelchair, wearing the helmet that covered his whole face.
"So you decided to abandon home and stay here"
summarized Merry seemingly irritated.
"Well you do have space to spare but in truth I think I'm in love with Rain"
Fayte answered.
Merry facepalmed herself, Fayte didn't know about Chris' psychic powers or that Rain was brainfucked.
"I don't care if you stay but know that if you touch Merry's ass I'll make your stay regretful, understood, you can decide to stay here or in the employee quarters, you are entitled to a room, medical treatment and you can use the capsules at the tenth floor, you will be given a bonus in advance to get started and I await that you and your two friends that came afterwards won't cause trouble"
"By the way does Rain also play the game"
Fayte asked noticing from yesterday that she couldn't talk herself.
"She used to but after an unfortunate event, she's not playing anymore, although she can still enter the game if she wants to"
"Would she mind marrying me?"
Fayte asked once more.
"I think we talked about that, she's not a lesbian although she'd do anything for my sake, right Rain?"
Rain just nodded like a zombie, making it less believable. Fayte hadn't noticed it before but Rain now seemed sort of mentally retarded.
"I will look after her all my life if it's needed and we can grow the child together like a family"
She said in a passionate and decisive tone.
"Then how about a deal, if you can win her heart in Altgaia where her character is, I vow to you that I will not only marry you to her but also cure her of her Illness, it would take tons of expenses but if you make it I won't regret the expenses"
Chris could release her from his control anytime he liked, although some memories would be altered a little but she would become closer to the original assassin. The reason why he proposed it was that the domination ability of his dissipated inside the game capsule and the real Rain would be free inside the game.
In reality the capsule used a strange psychic link to make them see an Illusion of a world just as if they were sleeping. It also made sense why the chief was happy about having a psychic in the company and the game master's need of strong psychic powers.
Chris's only handicap was that he had to wear his costume helmet for nearly a year. The wheelchair however was a contraption of his own, which steadily raised his control over his psychic powers. The costume wheelchair however was only one of three devices he had created, one which was at his own estate, which used to be the Sellers' and the other was inside his car.
The car had a psychic amplifier that amplified his powers when he was Inside, while the estate had the completed game master system, which not only allowed him to control the game but also made him stronger each minute he was inside the game, but also raising the time he had to wear the helmet.
Fayte was about to leave when Chris said something aloud.
"Don't forget I'm still awaiting you at my tower"
She was now left shitless as if an electric current passed through her, Darknym wasn't an administrator, he was her boss. She slightly bowed and run with her tail between her legs, afraid of the future events to unfold.
"Now, Merry, you are under house arrest for a week you can play your game but you are to not take a step out of this room, you have the life support capsule add-on so it won't be a problem for you will it, you see I have many things to do until I can play with you again"
Merry just nodded but deep inside she planned a comeback, that would knock him off his high horse. Even if he had psychic powers some events could still not be averted by him and yesterday's test made that clear to her, he is only a human after all.
Chris left the office and went back to his estate, It was more of a fortress than an estate and inside it looked exactly like a mad scientist's laboratory, huge cables swarming the place, machines left and right, and in the center a seemingly normal game capsule.
In truth there was a reason for his disappearance, he had unburied the late professor Morris and used his Psychometry on him, taking all his memories and little by little had made the capsule. Later after he became rich he bought the estate and remodeled it into a fortress that would be hard to destroy even if they used a nuke. At the basement was his room and essential needs to live for years.
They might not be expensive luxuries but he didn't need them anyway. He also had a gym and a study from where he did his management work for the three enterprises he now owned. He had to manage the game company, Merry's grandfather's channel and his own in-game company the lady of Fortune, until they had entered a stabilized state.
Today he had a special event in store, today he was planing to Invite Mona into his guild and also make her into an administrator as well as release the newest patch to the game, the Npc Restriction vision, it set a red X on the Npcs that were quest givers or quest essentials, if you attack one of them you become a red name asap and the system gave the npc priority when respawning npcs .
The second was he took away some of the administrators privileges, that now only activated if they reported someone or a red named player was nearby. The last patch of restriction was set on spells and skills that could be used indiscriminately before taking a little freedom away but somehow balancing the game.
All of the patches would be done by him alone once he enters the game and stops time. In reality he had just slowed it so much that a normal person's mind would not conceive anything.
All players only saw a popup saying
-Patch 19.9 complete-
Without any warning and all players saw a red X above most of the Npcs, making quest finding easier now but only some understood that all Npcs had their average level elevated to 500.
He then went to his tower and made preparations for Fayte's arrival, till the end of the day, creating another specially prepared npc Clone that had nothing in common with the clones before, Demonym.
The last thing he did in the middle of the night is give Fred the chief of development a phone call.
"Is everything ready at your end?"
He asked anxiously.
"Are you sure you want to do it, we could always make an AI do it, although it would slow down the process quite a bit it would have no risks at all"
"Just make sure that everything goes according to plan and let me worry about the rest"
The professor didn't say more than a "fine" and hanged up the phone.
Chris spend the rest of his time unable to sleep, he was too anxious about what he had planned for himself tomorrow, sometimes he closed his eyes only to see nightmares that something went terribly wrong, that he died or that he was turned into a vegetable, unable to talk or think, the state he saw himself in was even worse than what he had done to Rain who was sleeping soundly next to him.
It took him one day to gather the courage to go on with the plan, which was only a pin away from being called madness.
He was now at the company's underground laboratories bottom floor, where the top secret projects were kept, only five people had access to this floor and Rain was not one of them.
Rain he sent to the eleventh floor where there were the VIP capsules, he had ordered her to enter the capsule with the life support for a week while he himself went with the four responsible for the company's management to the last floor.
They were Fred, chief of development, Lucy, director of game administrators, Falt, director of marketing and Anna vice CEO of the company.
"We are gathered here for three tasks that are to be done"
Said Chris from his wheelchair.
"We have already been filled in so, don't spend more time than needed on useless chit-chat"
Said Falt, seemingly in a hurry.
"The first task is the appraisal of the new gen capsule for that will revolutionize virtual reality, it offers absolute freedom, 100% realism, three new world while still having access to the old ones and lastly 100% mental safety"
"But you haven't even tested it yet"
frowned Anna, who was apparently a bit unnerved about the new capsule and the third task for today.
"That's your task to do, I have thought of some ways to find volunteers for you, but there's one way that you must absolutely use"
Chris said giving a piece of copy paper to Anna, where he numbered many ways to find volunteers, one of which was in red color.
"Lets see the capsule then"
Said Chris and the chief of development, the old man with the goaty beard opened a door for them where a sole prototype could be seen at the center of the room.
"I like the design, give the designers a bonus for it, it really seems like an upgrade from our last capsule"
Said Chris rather pleased with it's design and the way the capsule opened, there was no glass in the front anymore, it was like a sea of glass entered the capsule once it was activated, In reality it was a gas that was liquified to keep the body in suspended animation, the latest technology used in spaceships.
"I could number it's greatest pros and cons"
said Falt and continued.
"It's pros are that it has more worlds and stuff to do and since we already have experience with the first three the next three will be more well made and complete"
Falt said with a serious expression.
"The cons are it's pricy to build and doesn't need add-ons for us to sell although seeing that you can sell other in-game stuff it's not a full loss yet"
"Don't forget about it not being tested yet"
Said Anna who was more anxious if it worked than if it would earn them profit.
"Should we go to the next room then?"
Asked Chris, only the professor nodded seemingly wanting to boast about the next experimental product, since the new gen capsule was a mixed effort of him and others.
"This is the gaming helmet, although a bit unfinished it will allow entering a single world from almost anywhere our relays can reach, it has battery and can be powered by a normal socket, it makes the first capsule useless as you can just wear the helm while you sleep or on breaks, it gives 100% the same sensation as the first capsule although it can't enter the three worlds added from the second gen capsule yet due to some alternation in how the two capsules work"
The other three were left speechless at the sight of the three pairs of glasses that sat on the displays, each connected to a different world.
"When will it be ready for trials?"
Asked Anna, Lucy and Falt all at the same time. Truth was the capsule was a little uncomfortable, especially when you left the capsule you would feel a sore neck or some muscle pain sometimes but in truth even the most luxurious capsule could not be compared to a soft bed.
"In a month at most, the final tune ups will be made, but the real design will probably delay it for another week or more"
Said the professor.
Truth was that the three were prototypes, the design given by the marketing department was a little too small so they had many problems till they came to an agreement, although at the time Falt had no Idea what the designs were for, he though they were some In-game sci-fi glasses, cause they sold some promotional packs of Items from time to time.
"Now we will have to say our goodbyes, since I won't be seeing you for hundreds of years to come"
Chris said with some sentiments as if saying his final goodbyes.
"It's just three fuckin days"
whispered Falt to the others.
"Now please open the last door"
Said Chris to the professor who was a bit reluctant at the time to open the door.
"Hurry!"
Shouted Falt who was at his wits' end.
Fred with a heavy heart unlocked the final door and a strange light shone all over them and a large glass tube where lightnings danced as if trapped inside the large Vertical glass tube.
"I hope everything is ready"
Said Chris asking for a confirmation.
"You never know, it's not been tested at all and you already know what might happen"
Fred said rather dissatisfied with Chris' stubbornness.
"But is it ready?"
Asked Chris once more
"Yes"
Confirmed the professor and sighed in submission.
Chris took off his helmet, stood up and left to a side room to change into a full body hazard suit.
"Is he really going to enter that thing?"
Asked Falt, he had heard about the experiment they were about to do, but till now his only worry was if they would blow the company or the damage that the marketing department would get if he died in the experiment of the new gen. Only now did he understand that the experiment had nothing at all to do with the new gen capsule but was something completely different and 100% dangerous.
"What exactly does this device do?"
Asked Lucy a bit worried about losing her job.
"Well although I don't know the results, in theory it will free Chris from the chair as well as augment his psychic powers"
The professor answered and a "What!" came from the two who had no Idea he had psychic powers to begin with.
"Ah didn't he tell you about it, he can read your mind just by touching you and has some telekinesis and psychometry"
Said the professor.
Shock and fear was visible in Falt and Anna's eyes at the moment. In truth they already suspected that something strange was going on when they were talking to him and it was as if he knew everything without them talking to him but they had no Idea that it was something like mind reading.
Chris came out shortly with the hazard suit, a strange thick suit with four canisters on the back and two on both sides.
"The suit can only protect me to a max of three days inside this capsule so make sure to deactivate it in three days time"
Said Chris as he came out and put on the face cover, that had no holes or see through material.
The professor helped him enter the strange cylindrical Capsule was on the floor. The capsule was a simple cylinder with two thick wires at both sides. When he entered the professor sealed the capsule tightly and made a prayer to god as he pressed the controls to start the experiment.
"Is there even a reason to worry, isn't he protected by the lightnings inside that airtight capsule?"
Asked Falt a bit relieved after seeing that hulkish hazard suit.
"In truth if it was just the lightnings I wouldn't be so concerned as well but the problem is not the electricity, it's the plasma that will be generated inside the capsule"
Said the professor somewhat concerned.
The other three were left dumbfounded as they saw the lightnings shift and generating a small amount of strange as if liquid gas, that now drifted around inside the glass tube, where now Chris' capsule was suspended in midair by the wires.
"See you all in three days"
Said the professor as he left through the door.
"See you later"
said Falt as he hurried back to his "work".
"Well That's probably all for today"
Said Anna as she smiled to Lucy.
"I hope so"
Lucy replied with a worried expression.
It was later that day that someone entered the lab and tempered with the controls but because of the tight security, the intruder could do nothing to sabotage the experiment.
======================================================
Fayte POV
Fayte after getting employed left her home and parents, saying she wanted to do something of her own. They were mostly proud but also a little sad, now they saw the future of their store in her younger brother, although they had their doubts if a game could give her a proper living, but the wages were better than they with their store could offer.
Fayte now was free from their preservative looks, she would enjoy herself however she liked, within the day she had already packed her things and left for the Game company's office. Instead of unpacking the first thing she did was enter the game and call her friends who were not in-game at the moment, namely Justice and Sincerity.
"We must decide now, do we go by sea and spend a month to reach the tower or do we go back and teleport there in a few seconds?"
Fayte said somewhat nervous that they wouldn't make it in time.
Hope was the only one against it since they had already paid for the ride and were in the middle of the ocean. It would take a whole day to go back now and the worse was that they would also have to pay for the Taxi fairy who had suddenly raised prices after the opening of the Lady of Fortune banks.
"Don't worry Hope we will pay for you as well after all you are our friend and the Ace of the team, without you we couldn't have dealt with all those boss monsters"
Sincerity said grateful for him lending them his powers.
Hope laughed for a little bit but it wasn't what she said it was what Tobo said to him.
'wasteful critters, if not for the gold exchange you would all be swimming across the continent right now'
Hope had fantasized all of them sitting on his back as he was the one swimming, in truth most of their boss battles were like that, he was the only one fighting while they from time to time helped a little until they all died and he had to rely on Tobo's body possession to kill the boss. In other words it was Tobo killing the boss and not him at all,
Although he gained all the experience since Tobo was a ghost, don't think that Hope was not good at fighting, he simply wasn't as good as Tobo, he was only a little better that your average player.
It took them a day to return to the pier with a small rowboat with two sailors rowing in succession as if their life was dependent on it, of course they were Npcs and didn't even talk most of the time.
"Finally"
Sighed Fayte as they touched land once more and rapidly headed to the Inn to make it to the checkpoint.
"See you tomorrow Fayte"
said the twins as they logged out, now only Hope and Fayte remained sitting on the same table.
"By the way hope, when will you be okay to leave the hospital, it's been five months now, hasn't there been any change in you condition?"
Asked Fayte, a bit worried since he knew that Hope had some sort of medical problem but didn't tell them what sort of problem it was.
"A few more months or so I've been told by my parents"
Hope said but his face became somewhat pale from just speaking about it and he coughed for a little.
A young high elf approached Fayte, her name was Merry and she sat next to them.
"I though you would have already left for his tower, I sure am in luck"
She said while liking her lips.
"Do you know us?"
Asked Fayte not recognizing Merry because her character looked completely different than her real appearance, it was much more beautiful and elegant.
"Could the hero Fayte come with me for a few moments"
She said as she took his hand and dragged him upstairs to her room.
It was a Wedding suit with a double bed and all the luxuries reserved. He saw her take off her light garment and a pop up appeared.
-Do you want to have sex with high elf female(female) Merry? -
She was the first player that wanted to do it with him/her. Fayte was a little lost but with lustful eyes pressed the -yes- button.
In the end it wasn't as satisfactory as he/she thought, the low sensitivity of the game made it a dull experience but he/she saw Merry strangely agitated and enjoying every moment of it, as if she was eating the forbidden fruit in secret, that kind of exciting sensation.
Fayte saw her with wide eyes as she hopped on his/her erected junk, the problem was who was fucking whom. Merry had control over the whole time by threatening him to leave if he didn't do as she commanded or even char his junk with magic if he dares to do something by himself. It was a living hell for him but he hadn't see the worst of it yet, although that he/she couldn't have predicted at the moment.
=========================================================
Chris POV
The virtual reality he was trapped inside was a white void full of Information, it was what they called the real god inside the virtual reality, it was the data storage base. He had 7200 days to gain all the data for himself, he felt his brain frying as he gained the Info from all the millions of people that played the game. The Idea came from the cloning ability in Allastar that created an Npc clone that retained all the memories of the player only lacking the ability of creating new original Ideas from what they learned afterwards.
Chris' psychic abilities were being boosted by the second, as through his mind passed like lightning the data.
Each real world second was equal to 10years in this virtual reality. In reality he couldn't even call it virtual reality any more, it was like the Interface of a machine that boosted his psychic abilities ten times each passing second.
======================================================================================
Fayte's POV
Fayte and company were now teleported to Dragoncliff, Merry had long left and Hope said nothing about a beautiful woman taking Fayte away the other day to the twins.
"Wow!"
Was the only thing they could say after seeing the huge walls now engraved with strange but beautiful huge glowing glyphs and crystals.
They tried to approach and got blown back by the barrier surrounding the city. A light teleported them inside a few seconds afterwards and they saw Darknym sitting on his throne and Theo standing next to him.
"I'm sorry about the rude behavior, to tell you the truth I wasn't expecting you so soon"
Said Lightnym wearing the drama mask and Impersonating Darknym. In truth he had hoped that the original would have returned before Fayte had arrived.
"I came as promised to challenge you for Theo's freedom"
Said Fayte in a heroic monologue.
"To tell you the truth you had already completed the challenge by coming this far but..."
Lightnym was perplexed by the two twins rubbing on Fayte.
"As if it would end like that, I came for a challenge and me and My three companions will fight you and win"
Fayte proclaimed with conviction.
"You mean four"
Said Lightnym and with a swing of his hand Tobo's ghost became visible.
"You can see me?"
Asked Tobo in surprise and to his surprise everyone now could hear him and they were a little stunned about having a ghost around them all that time.
"I will ask you again do you want to challenge "us" or take Theo away"
Asked Lightnym a little Irritated since he came to have some feelings for Theo, since the time he had left for the academy and this world for him was reality, his reality.
The five of them were, Tobo as well, were all determined, they had long decided that they would fight him. Lightnym could see the determination in their eyes, if they had seen his eyes they would have seen only pity inside.
"Then let me make you a last favor before I show you true power"
Lyghtnym said and begun casting a spell, the four of them attacked him not knowing what he was doing but all their attacks bounced off his shield.
For at least five minutes they were chipping on his shield until the spellcasting was complete. They could feel a strange gust of wind coming from behind them as the Dragon knight Tobo returned to the realm of the living once more.
"Now we are ready"
Lightnym said and teleported them all to the Barren training room, even Theo to whom he had given weapons, she was now level 500 and was no longer a pushover. He had also teleported Yu, Adeline and Su with weapons at hands with them.
"You have all one chance at it if you lose, the Npcs will stay here and the players will be expelled from the tower, This battle will be broadcasted through the TV stations and before I talk any further, there's an offer for one of you"
Everyone were a bit shocked at first knowing that Tobo was with them but now they were afraid.
If Tobo betrayed them and grouped up with Darknym they would 100% fail.
"Hope, I have an offer for you to join my guild, the gains more than outdo any gains Fayte's guild has"
Lightnym said seriously
"Wait, why him and not me!"
Shouted Tobo a little Irritated about being outshined by Hope, whom he saw as a noob.
"Why would you join if I offered it?"
Asked Lightnym knowing full well that Tobo had long age joined the "Tobo is god" guild as another Tobo in their list of numerous Tobos.
"No, but why Hope?"
He asked a bit irritated.
"Because he is a resident of this world, he cares more than you will ever do about this world, Hope if you want to stay in this world even after your death, I have a contract for you for the land of the dead your family already said that as long as you agree they will allow you to stay forever inside the game, but only if you agree to it"
"What's he saying, Fayte?"
Asked Fayte not understanding what was happening, the others were also not sure what he was talking about.
"Does the deal has some side deal where I have to join your guild?"
Hope said a bit unsettled, truth was that his family had given him time to think about it, they said that at least they could see him inside the game after he was gone, the doctors had already given up on him since the decease had already progressed too far, he only had a couple of months left to live.
"Nope, It was your parents who asked me to protect you but with friends like Tobo the Pk knight, I doubt you will have many problems"
He said and with a flash of light another two Darknyms appeared next to him, one was the dragon Ancestor and the other the half demon.
"Wait who are they?"
Asked Fayte nervous, with fear written all over his face.
"Just a few clones, right guys?"
Said Lightnym as he still impersonated the real Darknym, he pointed Dragonym towards Tobo and Demonym towards Su.
They were separated into three groups, Lightnym was to fight Fayte, the twins and Theo, Dragonym was to fight against Tobo and Hope, lastly was Demonym who was to fight Su,Yu and Adeline.
"Should we begin?"
Asked Lightnym and a stroke from Theo's flaming blade flew towards his shield, being absorbed and regenerating his passive shield.
"Don't use elemental attacks, they seem to heal him"
Theo said with an alarmed voice.
"Why is she, commanding us Fayte"
Complained Justice irritated.
Fayte didn't answer and just charged towards Lightnym, who for some reason only evaded as if dancing on the wind with a pair of pretty wooden fans, with each step leaving a mirror image behind, like a strange special effect.
Tobo and Hope had a different problem, around Dragonym there was a crazy gravity that had felled them both to the ground, all they could do was kiss his boots, as he came closer to them and gave them a bone-shattering kick when reaching them.
Su, Adeline and Yu were in a hyper speed battle with Demonym, the latest of Darknym's clones, he moved as fast as them and the most disturbing fact was that his body grew some sort of tendrils that shot at them in great speed, even Yu who could foresee attacks had problems evading him fully.
One swing of the wooden fan was all it took for all three on fayte's group to be blown back by the impossible force, unable to join Fayte who struggled with Lightnym, who didn't even fight back.
Lightnym with his fans only evaded and sometimes redirected his weapon, again and again, with one fan while with the other he kept the rest of the group in check.
"Is this all you learned in those months of training?"
Said Lightnym, once more with pity on his eyes, as he blew his away because he could no longer put Theo at bay. Each of her blows was fast and precise, he could do nothing about them as they grazed his shield and his wind attacks were now easily evaded by her.
Fayte was blown away again and again as he tried to close up, while arrows and magic were completely useless, due to the winds and the elemental shield. Only Theo's high speed maneuver had some effect on him although they only chipped at his shield.
Tobo now begun rising from the ground, somewhat adjusting to the gravity, he only took some minor damage from the gravity since his strength was high and he had his soulbound Dragon armor and prized Dragon sword.
Hope on the other side was hopelessly stuck on 1Hp as his berserker mode had activated but he couldn't overcome the gravity at all.
"Halfbreed you sure you don't want to lie a little more?"
Said Dragonym and doubled the gravity once more to x20 felling him once more to the floor with an even more severe impact while he himself just stood there and laughed, like some old fashion final boss.
Demonym had the three npc girls tightly caught in his demonic body as if he was some sort of slime with only Yu trying to struggle, but her soul bending was stopped again and again by him disturbing her concentration with perverted stuff that made her mad. Only Su escaped the Tendril with fighting, and it took only one second to severe the Demon's head, releasing the two whom he held captives, but her victory was short lived, as the liquid reformed once more into a different form, he was now flying with batlike wings, strange ominous red light escaped his form as if entering them and pain overtook them.
"Theo, lets dance once more"
Said Lightnym as he cast a revitalization spell refilling her stamina and charging like a mad beast at her.
His movements were like those of a berserker, it made no sense how a human could move like that.
The fight of the group had long become a duel between Lightnym and Theo as the others could only stand awestruck from the inhuman sight before them.
"Faster!"
Shouted Lightnym excited as he cast haste on himself and awaited for her to do something about it. Theo was now hitting thin air while he sometimes gave her a sneaky kiss on the cheek while taking off his mask for split seconds, without anyone seeing it.
The other two clones were already finished as Hope was already dead and Tobo was being crushed under x100 gravity, it was a matter of time for him to die since his Hp was simply hunging on his berserker rage.
Demonym had already left with the three npcs to somewhere with some strange teleportation ability. Not knowing where or when he left, the others continued their battles.
In a secluded demonic space the three npcs had an epic boss battle, The pain had subsided and now they were evading red beams of demonic energy that tried to possess their body, but they had already given up since they fully understood that he was just playing with them.
It took some time for Sincerity to come to her senses and cast the haste spell on Theo and a revitalizing spell, thus starting round 3.
Tobo was being crushed by both gravity and Dragonym's boot, as he simply kicked him once doing gigantic amounts of damage that could be compared to the ork warlord or any of the Immortal bosses he had fought before, but he was still at 1Hp surviving on his berserker rage that till that moment was legendary, until Dragonym simply cast a "calm" spell and he died miserably under the gravity.
He then revived both Hope and Tobo and teleported them away with himself somewhere else to talk while Theo and Lightnym fought in a strange battle of wits, who was now emulating her into attacking or defending.
Sincerity had used up all her Mp and Fayte was also all out as well, while justice wasn't a mage so she had no way to support Theo or help her since her arrows were slower than their combat speed.
The battle was becoming chaotic now, Lightnym's magic shield was down but for some reason he didn't cast a second shield, he like a berserker charged at her this time chipping at her lifepoint as well as sometimes blowing her away with winds and even casting slow at her.
She was now moving in slow motion, but her attack speed was still normal.
"Do you give up?"
Said Lightnym a bit exhausted at the moment until he cast a revitalizing spell on himself.
"Stop!"
Shouted Fayte, seeing Theo who was about to charge at him once more.
"I give up"
He said promptly, seeing that the other two groups had already lost and in a flush of light they were teleported once more to the palace.
"Although you didn't fight as well as Theo but you still did everything you could so I will give you one last chance...Theo if I give you your freedom what will you do?"
He asked Theo.
Theo smiled as she went to hug Fayte only to be stopped midway by Justice who was already next to him.
'He's mine'
Her eyes said as her face rubbed on his arm.
Lightnym just teleported them away while he comforted Theo with a kiss.
Lightnym unlike Chris who was from another world, came to like her and wanted to marry her but since she was awaiting for Fayte he hadn't taken any serious steps until now and unlike Chris his clones were more serious, they wouldn't seek for further excitement than their own wife or wives. Well almost all, since Demonym was a little special, he was created after he had gained psychic powers and he had some Ideas of world domination and such but he was weaker than Dragonym so he would dare try doing so, yet at least.
Dragonym was now at the Arena city with Hope and Tobo and there was a fight going on downstairs.
The arena city is just a series of arenas where Chris wanted to have monsters fight for fun.
The ones fighting however were just low tier monsters like goblins and wolves that were summoned.
"Now lets get on with the deal, both of you are worthy of joining although a bit weak and lacking at the moment but Darknym has given us the ability to invite whomever we found worthy, you can of course refuse but don't think that you will have this opportunity a second time, since you won't even be able to enter the city again"
"What does your guild offer?"
Asked Tobo somewhat interested since the noobs at "Tobo is god" offered almost nothing to their members other than help with quests and the buffs.
"Here take a look"
Dragonym gave him a paper with all the benefits and rules of the guild.

If it was before the opening of the Lady of fortune Tobo would have drooled over the gold given per week, the lowest rank of the guild gained 10gold a week while the highest gained a million.
But the rules to never leave the guild were not to his liking at all, he was free at last and would continue his monster duels and PK activities as he did before. At least those were his plans. Both him and Hope were teleported outside after they refused his offer to join once more, where Fayte and the twins awaited them.
"So what do we do next?"
Asked Sincerity seemingly disheartened from their failure to even compete with Darknym. He was simply too strong for them and that failure was even broadcasted on TV, at least they were sent an email about the royalties and it was a huge amount for them who were common people.
"I think we should return to Anchora and rise to Legendary heroes and then gather more members for our guild, by the way Tobo will you be joining our guild?"
Tobo gave no answer and just teleported away to start PKing once more. The group went towards the nearest town, knowing that the nearest taxi fairy office was at least a week from their location.

Chris POV
Two days had passed after the start of the experiment and something went terribly wrong, Chris had lived 4800years in the virtual reality and could feel a strange sensation as if every year it became hotter and hotter until he felt his whole body as if burning, but he still believed that it was only a mind trick since he had felt this sensation every time he absorbed large amounts of data but it always went away afterwards. In a few days it became hell as heat and lightning surged through his real body.
He instinctively severed his mind from the virtual reality and begun creating a telekinetic barrier all around himself, it was an almost hopeless situation but he still did it, he send kinetic blows to the glass all around him and in just a few seconds the whole room was on fire, the sprinklers on the ceiling did what they could but the machine was beyond repair.
Chris tried to take of the suit but it was as if the whole suit had fused with his skin. A furious Chris sent telepathic messaged for help, he was in great pain and felt as if he would faint any moment now.
To his surprise his telepathic abilities went out of control and blasted everything away from him, as if he exploded with kinetic energy instead of telepathy. The flames were blown out, the machines were now junk metal and the whole room became spherical all around him but he himself just fainted from the pain.

8 102Systematic Supremacy
A story of an individual with a cursed past and an unknown future. Follow the journey of Theo trying to find his purpose in a world full of cultivation, magic, and other mystical arts. What happens when someone without a will to live finally gains freedom along with an absurd amount of potential? Will he pursue strength in a world that values nothing but power, or will he decide to live a quiet and normal life for the first time? This is a story of a man with a system (yes, I know, very original), cursed with the faith of a protagonist. Whether he will follow the road of humiliating swarms of ignorant young masters asking for a beating, or carelessly pick up love interests from all corners of the world is yet to be seen. This story features many different realms and power systems, so if you enjoy novels with massive worlds and endless exploration, this is for you. Although it has a system, it is more of a manifestation of his own power and mysterious origin, not some gift from God.This is my first novel, and I am not a native English speaker, so the grammar won’t be perfect, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
8 219Diary of a Space Sailor
Fresh out of the Academy UCS navy ensign Michael Cerenos is assigned to the cruiser Avalanche. As they set out on a routine patrol the green ensign gets his first glimpses of the wider Universe. But not all is what it seems like from the core worlds. Numerous issues plague the human settlements. From disasters to priates and labour disputes, the galaxy is very different to what Michael expects. This is his logbook. Updates are going to daily, but very short. I'm trying to write this like an actual diary, basically the book version of a found footage movie.
8 181REAL
An ancient hunchback named Finnel is the principal of a school where students’ special abilities might be called magical, supernatural powers. Or, maybe those students’ heightened attributes are more like honed talents any ordinary person could discover and dedicate to developing. Either way, at Finnel's school, even the most otherworldly of traits always finds its source in something REAL . . . in actual human capacities, like intuition, empathy, awareness, strength... REAL is a series of ongoing tales, each centered around an individual student at Finnel's school. Framing slice-of-life authenticity with cool powers and uplifting humor, REAL maintains a light, fun tone while never shying away from digging down deep into weighty themes like identity, connection, and meaning.
