Gregory got a chance to talk to Elizabeth the entire time, and due to his knowledge that Elizabeth would be his future wife started revealing everything about his abilities to her. At first she was confused, but when he started to explain to her how all the abilities he had, she started to realize how he ended up here and why he seemed to be so strong. He wasn’t just a sage like some of this time, but he was a sage from the future with multiple elemental proficiencies, and a magical energy that isn’t limited or restricted to specific elements. Although, it did seem that it couldn’t just freely gain contradicting elements, since he had spent quite a while inside a time-stopped zone to actually be able to use mana effectively again. He just seemed beyond comprehension in power, and it was something she never thought she’d see from anybody, but this person definitely possessed it. An incomprehensible strength that seemed boundless in ability, even though she could tell he seemed very grounded based on previous experiences. From what she heard, the people he has faced that had scared him, at least on this continent now, were people that he could most likely beat fairly easily with his current abilities. That is aside from the warrior he saw in London.

She was totally shocked and in awe that according to him she would marry him. She had feelings for him no doubt, and she did feel that she loved him, but she had no idea if she was ready for marriage. It would likely mean immunity to aging though, which is something that every girl would want. Of course, she was nervous about what it would mean to be a mother to a child that she would never meet. This would be offset of course by the fact that she would get to meet all of her descendants, and eventually marry on of her far distant descendants. It seemed strange thinking of it this way, but it wasn’t like she was marrying anybody even closely related to her. She knew of many people who married in after just six or seven generations, this was at least 40 generations down the line. The thing that seemed strange about it, is that she is marrying somebody that descends from her when she hasn’t even given birth yet. She agreed that they could live together, but that marriage would have to wait until she got to know exactly what kind of person he is. He actually full-on proposed to her already, but she wanted to make sure that he wasn’t just lying to her. It seemed too far-fetched to be a lie. What kind of person would make up such a story only to lie about it?

Gregory completed his obligation to the warrior, who was so pleased that he even gave Gregory a large bonus. Gregory thought to himself though, the warrior had increased his physical stats since last he saw him. The man had just 3 points to go from 1000 strength, which would be the maximum points for strength. It was amazing that such a man existed in this time period, and it was amazing that nobody else had achieved that much magical power yet either. Mages are probably too busy trying to kill themselves for benefit to train this hard. That is probably why this warrior here is so strong, he hasn’t had to kill for any inheritance, and has just trained himself to become as strong as possible. Elizabeth is the same way though, but she might have halted her growth had I not come along. That brings to question though, how does this warrior level up so quickly. I know that now he should be almost invincible, even that monster we faced at the end of that last dungeon should easily fall to his skills, but that still doesn’t explain how he can level up so quickly. Gregory forgot about that for now, and decided that he would spend time with Elizabeth.

As he started talking to Elizabeth about his life up to this point, most of what was left out, since he only covered since he had obtained his ability, Elizabeth listened intently. Gregory showed her some of his magic by now, and she knew that he definitely had the ability to stop time inside his protected space, and that he definitely had spatial magic. She was amazed though, a person of such magical power here at this place. The fact that he would be her descendant, and lover, was just too much for her to imagine. He was even able to show her some of his family throughout the years, which he had found prior by knowing the surname of all his descendants. Gregory and her spent hours together, talking and learning about each other. Gregory quickly learned all that she told him about her, and how she had gotten to where she was. He loved her with everything in him, she was gorgeous, and he wanted to marry her if there was nothing else.

One real-world, three physical(for them) years later

Gregory and Elizabeth had gotten married, and now Elizabeth was getting very close to childbirth. After she had married Gregory, she found that she had stopped aging as well, just as Gregory said she would. Elizabeth already decided that once the child was born, they would take care of it just long enough so that they could leave it with the family that took it in in Gregory’s memory. Following that, Gregory would use his magic to bring them to his present, which should be fully cemented and reachable once there was nothing to stop him from getting back. They had both grown stronger. Gregory hadn’t gone up an insane number of levels, but had gone up enough to make himself more powerful and a force to be reckoned with. He eventually reached over 100 in all physical abilities, by his own admonition, and he said that one of his stats transformed from MAP into EP, which controlled all energy potency rather than just mana potency. Still though, most of the skills he gained from MAP remained, but with the focus that it was on all energy, not just magical energy. He also gained another skill, Kinetikinesis, allowing him to control kinetic energy around him, but it was based on his stamina pool. If he wanted to change something, he needed to expend stamina, but he could also take hits in until his stamina reached his cap without taking damage using kinetikinesis to reduce the impact to effectively nothing.. He also raised that newly transformed EP skill to a higher value, since it had dropped to 500 upon becoming EP.

Once the child was born, Elizabeth and Gregory went through with their plan. They waited until the child was old enough to be separated from Elizabeth, and then brought him to the Frost Family Castle. Their child would be successful, and risen just as one of the Frosts. He would grow in power, specifically magical power and realize his magical potential. He would then branch off from the Frost family and start his own village once he would become strong enough. Not being able to raise their son felt strange to both of them, despite Gregory’s knowledge that it had to happen this way. They both used Gregory’s temporal magic in conjunction with his spatial magic to return to where Gregory was before he went back with Aetius, to the latest time available to Gregory. As he showed up with Elizabeth in his arms, Aetius was shocked.

How did you get back here with somebody? It should be impossible to change the past and return to the proper present. I know you are back to your proper present too, because I can feel the temporal magic you used to get here. However, it feels almost as if there is another kind of magic mixed in. Are you the one who learned both temporal and spatial magic? Is that why you were able to return? Your future at the time we left was in the past for some time? Then that means you are a living paradox, your present was dictated by the actions in the past of your future self. What is also surprising is that you were able to bring somebody along with you, normally bringing somebody along is a reason as to why the future changes. I fell in love once, and couldn’t return to my original time. I “screwed up” my own time-line by doing it. How on earth did you manage to do it without destroying the time-line?

I was trapped the second I got to that time, not because of my actions, but because my future wife was in the past. I couldn’t return to the present until I had done what I could to remedy the past. Elizabeth here was actually meant to be in this timeline, which I realized because of temporal magic revealing to me what was wrong with the present.

Gregory left out how she was his own ancestor, and that they were technically already married. He also left out how he had been his own true ancestor, and that all of his family was there because of him. It was something he didn’t want to reveal if at all possible. He knew that it would eventually come out to most people that Elizabeth was from the past, but if his dad and the rest of his family discovered that he was their ancestor, they could get very distraught over how to handle it. At the moment, he was much stronger than when he had left them, easily one of the strongest people of that time period, and probably one of the strongest people still. That would hold especially true for magic, since he could completely protect against magical energy, and regenerate all his magical energy in a very short period of time.

Aetius looked curiously at Gregory, wondering how a paradox such as this could have existed without him realizing it. The idea that a person’s life could be fluid, and being removed is the only way to preserve a future was unimaginable. Of course, the past was considered to be set in stone, and the future is a fluid thing. What Aetius learned though, is that the present he goes through is the one most likely to happen, based on events in the future. He has seen some people who changes something in the past, and were still able to reach back to the present. Somebody even brought steel back to the past, and that is what kept the current present on its original course. Thinking about it revolving around a human being though was hard, especially since he knew people that had destroyed their future by falling in love with a woman. That was another thing, those with temporal magic were aware of alternate realities, in which something did not happen as it was meant to. This was especially so if the alternate timeline is one that happened because of somebody they know. Aetius was just shocked that Gregory had managed to find the path of least resistance so to speak, and got back to the original present instead of being stuck in the past.

I am just glad you managed to get yourself back here, it would have been hard to explain to your father what happened here. Anyways, you should probably get home, but I really don’t know what to do with her, your family will probably look at it strangely if you bring a girl home.

Well, I will see you Aetius. I was really glad to have trained under you for the time that I did. I will be getting home, and I will just need to tell them what I can about what happened. There needs to be something that will work to make them accepting of this arrangement.

As they left, Elizabeth looked at Gregory with some of her own questions. Why would your parents be cautious about you coming home with a girl? You were 16 before you left, it isn’t like you are still a child. Also, what is all this around here. It seems as if there is more magic now than in my time, but I can’t seem to feel any of it. She looked in wonder at street lamps and the like, curious as to how everything worked. As she said this, Gregory pulled out some clothes he had made for her while still in the past, clothes that fit well with the current time. The outfit consisted of a pair of relatively tight jeans, a white long-sleeve shirt with a greyish light jacket that had fur in the collar, very light grey socks that would go up to just above her knees, and women’s undergarments for her, as well as a pair of brown leather boots that went up to her knees.

In this time, a person isn’t really considered an adult until they are 18, which makes it difficult to explain why I am bringing a girl home like this. You do look young, which definitely helps, but it is still suspicious to bring a girl home for the night. Although, I could afford to put you in a hotel for the night, but that would be a bit difficult too. Also, I made you some clothes different clothes, since what you are wearing now is a bit strange for this era. I do have these here for you to change in to, and should definitely look really good on you. You should definitely get changed, which is something I should really do as well. If you need any help, I will be able to help after I finish getting changed.[/color]

As he said this, he opened his protected space, and brought Elizabeth in with him. He quickly got changed, but she seemed to be having extreme difficulty with this task. She had gotten the underwear on, but was having difficulty with everything else. Gregory helped her, explaining how everything was put on. It started making sense to her after she saw how it worked, but was surprised at how different clothing was in this day. Once she had on her clothes, Gregory made a mirror using mystokinesis so that Elizabeth could see herself. She was shocked, she actually did look nice in these clothes, which surprised her considering how strange they looked off of her. Must be because I am unused to them, I wonder how it will go once we get to Gregory’s house though.

As they left Gregory’s protected space, they headed for his home. Gregory and Elizabeth were both nervous about it, but for different reasons. Gregory was nervous because he wasn’t sure his parents would welcome having a girl at their home with their only son. Elizabeth was nervous, because she wanted to see what kind of people Gregory’s parents were exactly.
