《Shaking the Heavens》Chapter 16 – Buddha Jack

Hui Lang encircled Jack, literally like a predator about to hunt its prey. His eyes shone with malevolence as saliva slowly drooled from his mouth, revealing a glimpse of his gruesome teeth.
“Forcing me to reveal my true power… few people have ever accomplished such a feat, and even fewer survived to tell the tale. No need for you to feel gloomy though, you shall be joining this list in a moment.”
Jack was already on his knees, his complexion pale white, wholly defeated. Even if he wanted to escape, it was now an impossible feat. He knew that death was staring right into his face.
He had already closed his eyes and accepted his fate when an explosion rocked his internal mind.
His entire being shuddered, his eyes involuntary moving in different directions. The sounds similar to one hundred drums banged simultaneously inside his ears, sending him into a maddened frenzy.
Hui Lang naturally stopped in his tracks when he saw Jack crouching in anguish, perceiving that something was not quite right.
Soon, Hui Lang’s mouth opened wide when he saw Jack’s body expanding at an alarming rate, starting from the rounding of the belly and followed by the thickening hands and legs. The several injuries over Jack’s body were also filling up; not only with fat but clearly healing at a rapid pace.
The moment the transformation ended, a small cut appeared on his forehead, revealing the image of a golden sun.
The once handsome Jack was now a rounded fatty, his neck swallowed by the amount of fat, replaced by two slanting cheeks. His hair seemed to have gained the ability of flight as it waved up and down, giving him the appearance of a savage.
Both Hui Lang and Young Lord Yu were left stunned by the bewildering scene, but not as much as their opponent.
The first thing Jack tried to do was inspecting his body, but all he could see were two large chests with protruding nipples, resting on an even enormous belly.
“Whats the fusk…” A soft, high-pitched voice sneaked out, impaired by the amount of fat present inside his throat, worsening Jack’s emotional despair. When he raised his heavy feet, he almost lost balance. If it weren’t for his qi stabilising his posture, he would already be rolling on the ground.
Seeing the fatso before him, Hui Lang didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry. Regardless, he had enough of this farce.
Hui Lang sprung into action, producing five afterimages that assumed circular positions around his enemy. “And here I almost thought you were about to reveal some kind of trump card… if you think you are going to intimidate me with this ridiculous trick of yours, you are gravely mistaken!”
These words, however, didn’t seem to have reached Jack’s ears, who was on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Back in the Navira planes, he didn’t care much about his exterior due to his various scars and other imperfections. It was only after his rebirth inside the Azure Realm that he unconsciously grew attached to his appearance, and internally sworn that he would protect his looks whatever the costs. One could only begin to imagine the helplessness felt by Jack now that his body had turned into one massive lump of fat…

Hui Lang didn’t seem interested in his opponent’s emotional suffering though as the five images jumped in harmony against the giant belly, slicing viciously and without mercy. However, what was supposed to be the improved version of an attack that almost killed Jack before, it could now only leave some scratches that quickly healed in a couple of breaths.
“What the?!” Hui Lang was flabbergasted by this development as he repeatedly waved his claws, deploying maximum force.
The constant attacks seemed to have caught Jack’s attention again, but clearly, he wasn’t in the mood. He clasped his hands together, then forcefully slammed into the ground, creating a significant depression amidst a tempest of winds.
Four of the five afterimages were utterly shattered by the generated shockwave. As for the real Hui Lang, his wolfish mouth distorted and twisted under the wind’s immense pressure, sending him bouncing and rolling through several houses, until crashing against the opposite wall.
Hui Lang let out a soft cry similar to a whining dog, struggling to stand up again.
“What haves you done to my bodys?!” The angry Jacked roared, wanting to find an immediate explanation for his current transformation. Each of his steps was a struggle to take, shaking the area as he turned around to face the distant Hui Lang.
The recovering Hui Lang responded with an equal ferocious roar, opening his mouth and firing a powerful qi blast. Although Jack’s strength seemed to have undergone shocking growth, there was no way for such a bulky body to avoid such a fast-moving attack. Naturally, Hui Lang had realised that long-range attacks were his only remaining option.
As the blast of qi approached, everyone, including Jack, was anticipating this enormous body of fat to explode into massive rain of flesh and gore. But much to the trio’s astonishment, the powerful blast gracefully bounced on the belly, rebounding backwards where it came from.
Hui Lang couldn’t believe his eyes, almost forgetting to dodge the recoiling blast in time. He felt humiliated as the residual explosion from his own attack sent him flying again, now crashing against the wall adjacent to the gate.
Jack made a quick glance at the struggling opponent, then seemed to think of something. He rapidly channelled his solidifying essence, hardening his bones and muscles in the process. His idea seemed to have borne fruit, now feeling that he had much better control over his movements.
He locked his gaze on his adversary and rushed forward.
Hui Lang was still licking his wounds when he noticed a round shadow speeding towards him.
The incoming fist was like the hand of the apocalypse. As it approached, the entire area began trembling with several cavities extending outwards. Numerous rocks were also uplifted in the air like they were being pulled by a giant magnet.
Hui Lang didn’t even have the time to cry as the resulting blast shattered a substantial part of the wall, creating a deep tunnel that stretched towards the stream of water.
Jack’s eyes exerted coldness as he momentarily watched the water rushing in and filling the tunnel, then turned his attention upwards.

High up in the sky, there was a heavily panting Hui Lang, his body clearly in a sorry state.
He kept his gaze affixed on Jack like he was staring in the face of a death god. He was still trying to find a logical sense for this bizarre man, with his only plausible explanation being that Jack’s transformation was a type of inheritance gone wrong or some kind of defective martial art.
He suddenly began regretting coming here. What was supposed to be an easy walk in the park, it had turned out into a living nightmare. He had already made up his mind that once this bastard is dead, he would definitely demand higher rewards from the Young Lord.
Hui Lang didn’t want to drag out this fight any longer. He unleashed his maximum speed in preparation for his ultimate move.
Afterimages began forming in the sky, increasing one by one until reaching his current limit of ten. The ten wolves seemed to be in synchronisation, as they rotated into a circular perimeter.
When they raised their heads, ten different strands of qi emerged from their mouths, spiralling and converging above them.
Soon, a colourful image of an ethereal wolf began taking shape. The lifelike image seemed to be sentient, its grey-coloured eyes illuminating the night even brighter than the moon.
Hui Lang then yelled out with the occasional mocking. “This is my ultimate move, the external manifestation of my inheritance! No matter what tricks you use, you can never dream of defeating the power of the great wolf! Remember very well! I am Hui Lang, a cultivator chosen by the very heavens, and you are just a frog in a well, a being who doesn’t know the immensity between heaven and earth!
“Now die alongside your own stupidity!”
Hui Lang spectacularly fired the wolfish manifestation as it pressed down towards Jack. The terrifying image seemed to have the ability to shatter mountains and topple the sky. Reinforced by the power of Hui Lang’s essence, it gave no chance for Jack to dodge, swallowing his body as a whole.
The fast collision resulted in a detonation that almost destroyed a quarter of the villa.
As the visibility cleared and upon seeing that there were no signs of Jack’s presence, Hui Lang quickly assumed that his opponent was obliterated into nothingness. Soon, his once anxious expression turned into joy. He inwardly felt relieved that he had finally crushed his opponent and even more estatic when he thought about looting Jack’s treasure.
“Haha, Yu Gen, this idiot was much tougher than I thought. I don’t think you would have any complaints if I had to raise my assistance fee, right?” He laughed out like a devil as he expressed an intimidating look.
On the other hand, Young Lord Yu was petrified and barely managed to raise his finger. “Hui Lang, behind you!”
Hui Lang didn’t even know what hit him as Jack’s hand clamped down upon his neck, almost suffocating him.
Jack’s physique was in a terrible form. Blood leaked out from literally every part of his body, as pieces of his fatty flash had been torn way by the previous explosion. However, these same wounds were clearly healing at a rate visible to the naked eye.
“Im-impossible!” The wolfish body fought to escape, but Jack’s arm strength kept him firmly in place.
Hui Lang could only watch as a brutal fist collided straight into his belly. He let out a miserable shriek as blood jetted out from both his wound and mouth, several of his bones shattering into smithereens.
Jack looked disgustingly at the defeated opponent for a moment. Hui Lang’s unresponsive body was then sent pummelling downwards.
Boom~
As soon as Hui Lang’s touched ground, his wolfish body reverted to his original self, revealing a naked body partially covered by blood-tainted soil.
The victorious Jack then descended close to him.
With his opponent finally defeated, he finally had the chance to examine the state of his surroundings.
The once beautiful villa was now mostly a pile of rubble, and only a couple of structures remained untouched. Fortunately for Jack, his original Pagoda didn’t seem to have suffered any damage.
Still wanting to find an answer for his weird transformation, Jack then turned his attention to a trembling cultivator hiding below a large wooden table.
When he noticed the approaching Jack, Young Lord Yu cried like a little girl, peeing himself in the process.
Jack frowned, smashing both Young Lord Yu and the table several metres deep in the ground, then pulled him out like he was some kind of vegetable.
“Do you knows anything abouts my consition?”
Lord Yu struggled to shake his head as two pieces of broken tooth fell from his mouth. “I don’t know, I really don’t know! I’m sorry, please spare me! I’ll give you anything you want!”
Jack frowned, then unceremoniously stated. “Fifty essence whatever pills by tomorrows. As for the maidens, I am sure you will need thems more than me to attend to your bodys!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Jack hurled the Young Lord upwards with all force he could gather, sending him flying out of the villa.
“That’s its!” Jack nonchalantly clapped his hands together to remove the annoying dust.
When he returned his attention to Hui lang, he noticed that the body was no longer there. Not only that, but on second glance, it seemed that the several bodies of the guards and Jian Yan had also vanished without a trace.
Jack was on the verge of going berserk. “Who dares?!”
He attentively surveyed the area for an intruder, jumping to different locations for better visibility, but in the end, he couldn’t detect any living soul.
He gave up after a while, instead stomping his feet, still trying to figure a way out of his predicament.
