《Transmigrated Into a Blind Woman’s Body》Chapter 50

“Prepare me a tub of cold water.” Hun Cuifen observed the young miss, seeing how she was under the poison of an aphrodisiac. Being given what she was told, she had Lin Ning soaking into the tub of water; a wooden wall frame was put out for no one to see Lin Ning soaking in the tub. Being left in her undergarments, Lin Ning was panting while enduring aphrodisiac and the cold water.
“How is she?” Cao Peizhi asked, standing on the other side of the wall frame while trying to remain calm.
“She is doing fine so far. She is not a weak woman.” Hun Cuifen had finally managed to settle Lin Ning in a better condition, dressing her back. “Are you alright if she sleeps in here?” Hun Cuifen looked to Cao Peizhi, seeing how they had no choice but to let Lin Ning sleep in his tent.
“It’s fine.” Cao Peizhi sat at his desk, looking over all the laid-out papers.
Lin Ning was placed onto his bed, laying down while being tucked under all the warm sheets prepared for her. “I will be leaving her in your care.” Hun Cuifen had left soon after laying Lin Ning to rest in the bed. Hun Cuifen had taken a look down to see Mei Mei was sitting down outside of the tent and likely waiting for Lin Ning to wake up.
Cao Peizhi had continued to stay up, looking over the papers when he heard Lin Ning. “No… no… don’t…” Lin Ning kept moving around in the bed with tears starting to pour out from her eyes.
‘She must be frightened.’ Going over to Lin Ning, he laid his hand onto her forehead to feel her head burning while assuming that she was having a nightmare. “Ning, it's okay. You're safe.” He said, placing a wet cloth on her forehead at the same time. Lin Ning had suddenly held onto his hand, laying his hand onto her cheek. Seeing her bandaged hand, he felt his heartache to see her in such a state.

“Don’t leave me.” She whimpered while tightly holding onto his hand.
Cao Peizhi felt moved; he was given no choice but to stay with her. ‘I hope that you won’t be upset when you wake up.’ Laying down next to her in the bed, he felt tired and fell asleep soon by her side.

“Tsk! I hate people who take advantage of women in their poor state.” Xu Meili had heard what had happened to Lin Ning; she had been held back by Yi Changpu, who did not allow her to see the blood in Lin Ning’s tent. “Why do you stop me at every turn? What goes on in that head of yours?” She looked at him from the couch she sat on with an upset look.
“I don’t want my woman to see so much blood in her life.” Yi Changpu smiled, knowing that he was being possessive over her. He had gotten up, walking right over to her.
“It's not like I haven’t seen blood before.” Xu Meili was then pinned down from where she had been sitting on a couch in the tent that Yi Changpu had been staying in. “What are you doing?” She looked at him with an unfazed look.
“I’m hoping that you are not trying to get out there and stir up trouble.” He said to her.
“You need to calm down and get off me.” She poked his nose, trying to get him to back up.
“Heh, you really make me go crazy.” Yi Changpu stole a kiss from her before he backed away. Xu Meili looked out, seeing that she had been going too easy with him.
“Are you going to try and get into contact with your family?”

“Which one?”
“You know which one I’m talking about.” Xu Meili knew which family he liked and which one he did not.
“Well, will you marry me if you find out?” He asked while looking at her.
“…” Looking at the man who held a smirk on her, she looked away once more. “Tsk, as if.” she rested her chin on top of her hand.
“Don’t be like that. You’ll really hurt my heart.” He told her.
“Just focus on what is happening right now.” Refusing to talk anymore to him, she had fallen asleep on the couch in his tent. Yi Changpu smiled, covering her with his blanket from his bed.
“I love you.” He whispered to her ear and headed back to his desk.
Xu Meili had heard him, blushing while trying to keep herself focused on trying to sleep. ‘Idiot.’

Mei Mei was sitting down, waiting for Lin Ning to wake up. Hun Cuifen had taken a look at the wolf, seeing that she was not bleeding in any way. All of the blood on her fur was from the men she had attacked. “I don’t know why you followed Lin Ning, but you do know that there will be countless near-death situations that will happen. Can you handle all of that?” She did not understand why the wolf would follow Lin Ning, but she knew it was not up to her to choose the wolf or instead force the wolf to become a tame animal. Mei Mei looked to Hun Cuifen and then turned back to look at the tent where Lin Ning was currently resting. Hearing Hun Cuifen leave, she looked up to the night sky. Recalling the time she was in her pack, she was considered one of the flaws that could harm the pack. Being a wolf with white fur had given them many dangers until she had been the primary target of most preys and hunters who entered the forest to hunt for their fur and meat. Being left alone in the woods, she had lost her right front paw and left eye. She had already vowed to stay by Lin Ning’s side when they met. ‘I will stay by Lin Ning’s side through thick and thin. I’ve had brothers and sisters once, but now I don’t. This is my pack now.’ Knowing that she could no longer hunt independently, she grew fond of Lin Ning throughout everything they had been through. ‘There is no way that I will ever be able to hunt by myself.’ The wolf thought.

A Beginner's Guide to Napping, Sunbathing, and Slaughtering Your Prey
Fang is a simple cat. Fang likes napping in the sun. Fang does not like being called Chairman Meow. Fang likes his belly being scratched for precisely 17.329 seconds. Fang does not like being punted between dimensions. Fang likes hunting and killing defenseless wildlife. Fang does not like mysterious blue boxes that appear out of thin air. Fang is having a Very Bad Day. A few things to note: Fang is a cat soul in a cat body, and that's not going to change any time soon. No cat girl evolution or possessed puppet or any of that. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. There is no epic tale here, only a cat doing cat things in a (hopefully) interesting setting. The game elements are pretty light, mostly there for flavor, so don't expect a huge amount of crunch. Nature is cruel, and cats are crueler than most.

Path of Righteousness

Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
