《Transmigrated Into a Blind Woman’s Body》Chapter 5

Everyone remained quiet, seeing if Viscount Lin’s daughter would mess up or not. Hearing the strings of the zither start to play, everyone did not know why, but they could feel their chests filled with warmth that rose from within. The empress dowager smiled to listen closely to the song that was being played at that moment. “Oh, it seems as though she could even play such beautiful notes.” The second prince held his fan in front of him, knowing very clearly that this woman did not know who he was.
Cao Peizhi was listening, not knowing why, but he felt that this song was meant for those who had gone to war that time. His heart felt a weird sensation as if he could not stop it, feeling as though people around would be able to hear it. Looking at Lin Ning, he did not know why but this woman made him angry inside not wanting anyone to see her at the spotlight. Hearing the last of the strings of the zither play, Lin Ning could see and sense everyone had the color yellow for being happy, while some with blue which meant sadness at this time, then two colors stood out which one was purple and another was pink. ‘Colors can come in many meanings, but whose emotions are those?’ Not knowing whose it belonged too, but she ignored it and bowed waiting for any of them to speak about her song.
“Great! Your song was just lovely. Lin Ning, would you like to tell us the meaning of the song?” The empress dowager spoke up, seeing that this young lady was just amazing with her songs and not only that, but being able to play without her visions needed to know how to play.
“Empress Dowager, it was not my intentions to make the atmosphere sad, but this song means a lot to me. This song represents those who have gone to war. As they return, their life is not the way that used to be, and they only wish to make it get better and better along the way. Going through many other obstacles to overcome all the hardships in their life. I may not be able to see, but I hear about the stories of war that brings sadness to many for different reasons. I only wish that people will be able to open their hearts and help those who need help the most.” Lin Ning did not know if that was a good response, but it was the best that she could put it. There wasn’t much that she could say about her song since it was only a little one that she had written about which was not complete.

“Viscount Lin, your daughter is truly kind-hearted.” Empress Dowager looked to Viscount Lin who looked to see that his daughter was not going to be punished by them.
“Thank you, Empress Dowager. My daughter has been born like this, but even then she continues to strive with happiness and kindness in her heart.” Viscount Lin bowed to the Empress Dowager as she allowed Lin Ning to return to her seat where her parents awaited for her. Being assisted by her maid, she had her zither taken back right after. Opening her eyes, she noticed that the pink was closer to her while the purple was further to where they were closer to the emperor and empress. ‘Who are those people?’ She thought, not knowing who it was that was holding such colors for her at that moment. Sensing it in the air, the person who had purple meant that someone was interested in her while the pink held affection for her. ‘I hope that the pink is not a stalker.’ Was the only thought that ran in her head since she knew that affections for one person could be misunderstood differently.
“Viscount Lin, I’ve heard that your daughter is at a marriageable age now.” The emperor said, which caught Lin Ning’s attention to see that he would bring her up once more.
‘What is this emperor thinking?’ Opening her eyes again, she could see that the emperor’s color had turn black this time which she did not think that the emperor could have it turn to such color so soon. Sensing the emperor’s emotion in the air, the black color this time had indicated evil. ‘What evil thoughts are in his head?’ Getting a headache, she clutched her hands while closing her eyes tightly. ‘Dang it! I can’t use it too much.’ Lin Ning only had a certain amount of time that she could use her eyes which was an obstacle to overcome if she did not manage it well. Hun Lian could see her lady wobble a little by the head which she held onto her miss from behind from falling over.

“Are you alright, my lady?” Hun Lian whispered, knowing that they could not make things look to obvious at this time.
“I’m okay.” Lin Ning had to be sure to rest for a bit before taking another look at the emperor.

Cao Peizhi was looking at Lin Ning, seeing how she looked a little pale after facing the emperor for a few seconds. ‘Is she alright?’ He thought, seeing how the maid was holding her from the back as if trying to support her from falling over. ‘Why am I worried about her?’ He thought again, knowing fully well that a woman like her would not want to be with him when he was a cripple himself.

“En, my daughter has turned twenty this year.” Viscount Lin knew that no one would want to marry his daughter since her blindness was the only obstacle that stood in her way of marriage. Not knowing what the emperor had in mind for his daughter, he was afraid that he had ill intentions.
“Since you cannot find a suitable partner for her then allow me to find her a husband.” Hearing the emperor say, everyone had been shocked to see that the emperor would be willing to look for a marriage partner for Lin Ning.
“Your highness, if we simply allow you to find her a marriage partner then we would be depending on you too much.” Viscount Lin did not want his daughter to be the talk of the capital if she were going to get the emperor to find a man for his daughter, but he also did not want his daughter to be taken from him if the emperor could not find any and have her in his harem instead. He knew that most who married a cripple would always find their daughters dead in the end which made him fearful of such fates.
“Viscount Lin, do not worry about it. If you do not feel comfortable, then allow me to look instead.” The empress had said after which Viscount Lin knew that they would not be able to deny it now.
“Aiya, stop bothering the Lin family. They only have a daughter, let them find her husband one day.” The empress dowager spoke up, seeing how her son and daughter-in-law were being too nosy.
”I wanted to be able to help them if I could.” The emperor said.
“Leave them be. They only have one child, so let them decide her future.” The empress dowager made sure that the emperor and empress did not try to help the Lin family in finding their daughter a husband. Only a child’s parent could decide their child’s future bride or husband, or the child themselves will find their happiness.
Viscount Lin felt glad that the empress dowager had spoken up to stop the emperor ad empress. Viscount Lin found it quite bothersome that the emperor and empress would want to choose his daughter’s husband while Lin Ning did not understand their motive in all of this.
‘What are they thinking?’ She thought, knowing fully well that things were going to be difficult now that she must have caught the interest of the royal family. ‘None of this seems to make sense. If only there was a story told for this character then I would have an idea, but the story does not revolve around this character.’
“Now that this is settled, then let us all continue.” The emperor had them all continue the event, not knowing that Lin Ning had gone out for some fresh air with her maid assisting her.

Dungeon Sect
On hiatus. Just have too much that happen in succession to have regular updates. will keep writing just wont be posting chapters for a while Jade was once a human on earth, many eons ago. He died and went to a cultivation universe. Sadly he was never heaven's choosen with heaven breaking luck. He was average and bland. When his brother was shining light he was the stabling post supporting him. Many sought to take down the light, but knew they were nothing to light so they tried to take down the post. Jade died in the cultivation universe, not without learning more than most in their billion year life times. He was not a genius by any means he was just well learned. Now he is a dungeon, with mana instead of Qi. Still he can cultivate and learn again. Who will he teach and help become a shining light Warning I am not the best writer, and it will take awhile to build to more of an action adventure story with dungeon building as a side as the story will shift from Jade the dungeon to his choosen students I use Cultivating Dungeon, and The bound dungeon as systems to build off of, but the story is all mine
