《Ruthless Reincarnator》Chapter 45

Because Gaia is what I made Tiphoon to be. And Tiphoon… no, something even more primal, Chaos… is what was now in front of me.
A child will always take a long time before noticing its great Mother never existed. Instead, that the thing it worshipped as a Mother was just another being like him itself. Another reason-abiding, always-changing, feelings-dependent-on-its-environment thing.
I took a long, long time before realizing… that the Mother I worshipped was just another Planetary Spirit, and that the Obsession I had was born of confusion, one so obviously planted deeply on my soul. One obviously present on my Seal of Individuality.
What is a Seal of Individuality?
What it means to be Individual? And why Complete Souls can’t keep their memories of previous lives?
They can.
In fact, they can. Except most are too weak to resist even small forces, like the wind. Then again, if you protect your soul between one life and another, the memories will be retained.
Dark Seeds aren’t needed for one to reach Individuality. Everyone is individual from birth, for everyone has a different history, and this makes them different.
They also aren’t needed for one to remember its past lives or retain a soul after dying. Something inside them is needed. A True Hearth. A simple and primitive thing called a White Seed.
I couldn’t see it. I couldn’t sense it. Because the Seal is a cocoon. A cocoon made to enclose the True Hearth and make it so people can’t see it, pry into its mysteries once it became strong and big enough to let mere mortals look into what they truly are. And Tiphoon made me unable to see what laid beyond this Cocoon.
We don’t see it when it is small, holding only a little bit of Soul around itself. When It is a White Seed. Because it is too small, too undeveloped, for us to be able to understand anything about it.

We don’t see it when it is big, holding many life experiences around. Because the Cocoon makes it Dark and Obscure, preventing one from discovering secrets planetary spirits such as Tiphoon do not want discovered.
And we don’t see it when it starts to break the cocoon of the Seals, when even such device is unable to contain it!
Because by them, our Hearts are not adapted to deal with all of those memories without reason between it and them.
Above all, we don’t see it when we are forced to slumber and carve for our “planetary parents”.
Once I thought that having a seal on my Seed was what made “me”, “me”. That the reason why I could remember past lives was because of that - because I could differentiate “me” from “others” when looking to the past!
All that Tiphoon had shown me in terms of mind magic made me see that as the ultimate truth.
“One can lose its memories. One can lose its mind.
But one won’t lose them forever if they still have the Dark Seed.
The Dark Seed will not allow for the memories to be lost. And the Dark Seed is indestructible once the Planetary Seal marks it.
So, even If your soul is dispersed by magic, look into your Seed, look for your Seal on the past, and you will know what you were, who you were and what you did!”
Hahahah. Yeah, right…
Nothing in this world is indestructible. Even the entirety of one’s mind can be lost, and all the memories as well.
The True Heart may be affected and destroyed. There is no true immortality.
But, still… nothing disappears from the world either. Anything which is anywhere came from some other place.
One can see in the past. One can see what happened with anything, at any time. With this knowledge, I drowned myself on looking at the past of every single part of my True Heart.
