《Ruthless Reincarnator》Hunter-Gatherers

It has been three years already since I took the community I had been born in as mine, and started my conquest after that.
I never came to know if I even had parents in that community, since I was raised as one of the tribe’s children and not as a specific mother’s and father’s child.
Maybe I have killed my own father as I first killed the alpha mile of my group and took his place. Who knows.
Some of the children born after me are already adults, but the selective breeding has been giving amazing results.
The “Smart” and “Top” groups now have stricter requirements of belonging, and regular spear users have fallen way behind on the “Less Dumb” group.
The children also have a remarkable growth compared to the adults, and filial piety has started to show its first signs, as some have started to care for the adults who look like them.
The new generation also doesn’t engage in incest so often, and train hard to reach the Top group.
The new Top group now is mostly formed of young adults who have yet to reach adulthood.
I have big hopes for them.
Not only that, the establishment of the human sacrifice tradition, as well as the competition for the best males and best females, has reached a point where I no longer have to separate the groups by myself.
They can recognize themselves by Group names, and still live in separate quarters, but now the coming and going is free between groups, as I have removed the trench’s doors.
To my surprise, a very few (only half a dozen so far) of the Top Group Youngsters have shown not fear, but marvel at the signs of me using magic.
I have selected those and put them into a separate quarter, which I have called the “mage’s quarters”.

I perform the most basic of magic every day in front of them, showing in detail how one should breath, how one should concentrate, and how one should feel - the hardest part, since the new word I came for “magic flow in your arms” remains a mystery to them.
Who knows. Maybe one of them may understand it someday. They are all hard-working Elves coming from a highly competitive environment, and are also doing overtime training by watching me perform magic.
Maybe. Just maybe they shall learn how to do it eventually.
Anyhow.
Since the dumbest of males and females are now the ones which used to be on top of the social pyramid, I obviously can’t just massacre them.
The other groups would just become frightened and increase the amount of human sacrifice.
So, I have been selecting quite a few of those, as well as a much-reduced number of those of upper echelons, and telling them to “stay” every time I move the group towards north, towards war and conquest.
A little later, I return and say “attack” while pointing towards the forest. Then I vanish. This has been enough for them to understand that they should hunt by themselves.
They have become settlers. Dansir, my first-named Elf, was one of those first settlers.
He belonged now to the “less dumb” group, after he met his reason’s limit in the Improved Knife and Clothes Sewing methods.
For some reason, I feel no attachment to him.
He was my first General, yes, but it has been only a few years we have meet each other.
In the end, he was like a cherished dog I had left behind in someone else’s house.
I feel a somewhat sad feeling in my chest for getting rid of him, but I know he and the other settlers should be more than smart enough to survive on their own.

If even the absurdly stupid Elves we find in the caves to the north can do it, my settlers should be like gods in front of them.
About those, I have let them for the Top group to use as they please.
Some of the females are used for victory-sex a few times, but soon the Top males tire of them and, with rare exceptions, what we see after conquest is a blood bath of human sacrifices in my name.
A very few “dumb” males and females, that is, spear-capable users, survive our incursions and become part of the group.
Still, most just die.
Not that I care.
Their mortal souls are just like a plant’s or an animal’s. They aren’t even able to retain reason after death, and soon the souls they had dissipate along with their minds, only their Seeds reincarnating afterwards.
If so, aren’t I doing a favor to them giving them a new chance at being reincarnated with better genetics, as smarter animals?
There is even a slim chance that one of them become like Grundir - the first of the mage quarter’s Elves to reach success in magic.
She produced a very unstable magic blast - a pure wave of magic energy.
So, I praised her heavily, gave her a new name to substitute the old grumbling-like one, and repeatedly called her to be the second one to eat, right after me.
Maybe someday this world won’t have enough magic, and only those absurdly talented will be able to do magic, while warriors will have no chances to do so.
However, this world’s magic is just so abundant even common animals can use it. In this sense, having Reason is more of an obstacle to the True Elves than an advantage, since magic requires feeling and instinct to be manipulated.
Now that Grundir has become able to do magic, I expect for the mage’s quarter to increase in size exponentially.
After all, she has been able to understand just what “feeling the magic flow” is, and used her gestures and proto-language like words to show it to her quarter’s friends, which quite quickly became able to tap a little bit into it.
Soon, those members of the mage’s quarters should become the new Top amongst the Elves, also inspiring the others to lose their fear and tap into what they still think is “divine”.
****
Of course, Grundir has become a little bit over-confident after being able to use magic, and tried to touch me.
I haven’t touched a single Elf so far, except for killing them.
She may have thought that learning magic made her an equal to me, so I made sure to slap her hard and roar a fire-spitting fury near her.
All her hair and some of her head was burnt by it, but she seems to have understood my message.
Do not think you are high enough to touch me just because you know a few tricks!
This act of mine also made some of the Top-level dogs to think she had incurred my anger and should be sacrificed.
I watched as she used magic to beat a couple of Elves before being restrained and brought to the sacrifice stone in front of my tent, and as she yelled at me with teary eyes.
I've let the execution proceed.
She still has use for me, yes. Now, more than ever, since she is the living proof that taking liberties with me shall bring disgrace to one, no matter how powerful they are.
I value power and reason. Not dogs who doesn’t know their damn place!

Double-Blind: A Modern LITRPG
Choosing a college when your family is struggling can be difficult, but it isn’t supposed to be world ending. And the falling meteor is seriously limiting Matt’s options. Now in the aftermath, his home city is locked down by a mysterious dome, corporations are looking to monopolize a wealth of new untapped resources, and people are suddenly developing powers via a system that seems to have borderline sinister intentions. In the chaos, he decides to stick to what he knows: stay out of the spotlight, grind, and survive. Watch as Matt is dragged into a dark LITRPG set in the real world, where the price of failure is death, and the prize for winning is beyond his wildest dreams. ++++++++++++++++++ There’s a couple big influences here: Solo-Leveling, Squid Game, and Code Geass. If you enjoy LITRPG stories with morally gray characters, high stakes, and smart protagonists who start weak and eventually become powerful in a unique way, you’ll probably find something to like. But be forewarned. It won’t be easy. I'll be writing this fast, so keep in mind there's likely to be typos that we'll correct as we go. Developmental Editing by Lev.

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y
