Marshall didnt immediately open his maze for any Tom, Dick, or Harry to discover; instead he started to make a hallway from the maze to the next room Marshall had planned. The hallway wasnt anything fancy, it was just a basic hallway with rock walls, ceiling, and floor. The next floor that Marshall had planned was his trump card to protect himself until he had an army of strong monsters.

For the next floor Marshall cleared out a twenty feet wide fifty feet long room. He then started clearing out the entire floor of the room. He dug and dug and dug for at least six hours until he cleared out a hole that was one hundred feet deep. He placed spider webs periodically that covered the hole. This was to break the falls of any invaders in the dungeon. The reason Marshall wanted them to live was because the longer invaders stayed the more Dungeon Points Marshall would get. At the bottom of the hole was some edible moss for invaders to eat to prolong their life; it wasnt that Marshall wanted them to suffer but he had to grow stronger and he would inevitably have to do something similar to a point farm.

After Marshall was done with the safety procautions Marshall made monkey bars across the ceiling. Some of the bars were made to be brittle. He made the monkeys bars to give invaders incentive for crossing the hole.

After that was all done Marshall decided to open his dungeon to the world. The tunnel opened to the world was similar to his dungeon walls in that they told a story. The story was of a young, mortal, orphan from a different world that started cultivation, eventually he reached another world where he became a God.

When he opened a hole in a mountain face that connected to his newly made tunnel. When he opened the hole Marshall felt an instinct to close it, but he fought it stopped paying attention to the that area. It was when he was appreciating his small dungeon the Marshall realised a serious flaw in his maze. . . . . . One could easily complete the maze just by following the story progression. Upon realizing this Marshall decided to go all out for his maze.

He started to add on many details to the story instead of a basic account of the storyline. He started to add in the main characters parents, master, wife, and friends. ( If you want to know the story read my other novel called " My Hermit Life " also on RoyalRoad ).

This increased the size of Marshalls maze from one mile by one mile to three miles by three miles. When he completed the recording of one of Marshalls favorite stories from his past life, he decided to try and send his three monsters outside of the dungeon. He remebered asking the system administrator if it was possible to send dungeon creatures outside of his dungeon. She answered " Ive heard of it happening but I dont know if you need a pass or something from the dungeon store. " .

On the off chance that something bad would happen Marshall sent out one of new projects, a burrowing owl. Owls were one of Marshalls favorite animals from his past life, he had even kept an owl as pet. He hadnt forcefully kept but he had raised it from a young age and it seemed to have a since of loyalty to Marshall. So when he found a burrowing owl one day Marshall made sure to take care of and upgrade it to the best of his abilities.

Marshall increased the size of the owl along with increasing its bone and muscle density. When he was done the owl was two feet tall, had a five feet wingspan, and weighed a whopping twelve pounds. The owl also had large eyes darker than darkness that seemed to peirce into ones soul.

Despite the care and love provided towards the owl Marshall knew that his three main creatures were more valuable in future battles.

" Mary ( name of owl ) I just want you to know that if something happens I love you and Im sorry. Please do not hold resentment towards me in your next life should you die. "

This was the message that Marshall had sent towards the owl he had raised for close to four months.

After that Marshall worriedly watched as the dark feathered owl flew out of the mouth of the cave towards the open world.

One Week Later

After finding out that his dungeon creatures could leave the dungeon Marshall hurriedly sent out his three main creatures to capture more creatures for the dungeon. He also wanted them to test their strength against other larger creatures. Marshall watched and managed the lives of his creatures using his omnipresent vision. He learned that even when his creatures werent in the dungeon as long as they were in his territory he could watch them.

During the week they were gone Marshall had them fight many battles against creatures whose carcases were brought back to the dungeon. Even though he couldnt directly manipulate the bodies of these dead creatures he could examine the bodies to upgrade his other creatures.

His main battle squad fought all manner of creatures inluding bears, mountain cats, a massive snake that was living in a lake. It was during that fight that Marshall remebered the fact that magical creatures exist. He was also beyond impressed by his battle squad that they could fight a magical beast. When the squad killed the massive snake they all gained a level except for the lady bug who gained two. It was also that instant Marshall realized that his creatures hadnt gained a single level despite killing dozens of creatures; it was apparent that you could only levels from killing magical beings. When the snake carcass was brought to the dungeon Marshall learned what made magical creatures magical, a beast core.

A beast core is according to the system administrator a core that is grown by creatures after they absorb enough Mana. The larger or denser the core is the stronger the beast. When he asked if it was possible to give his creatures a magical core Ms. SA said that forcing enough Mana into his beetle, lizard, and ladybug would let them grow cored eventually. When Law asked the purpose of the core he was told that the core will allow a creature to hold more Mana and will use personal Mana to increase the body strength of a creature.

It was at that point that Marshall started feeding his creatures Mana.

It took half a year for the creatures to gain their cores. During that time Marshall had used the information of the various dead creatures brought to him to create a boss monster. His boss monsters original body was am orc that Laws monsters captured after leveling up to level seven. They captured it by having the ladybug sitting on it and suffocating it until it passed out.

Despite constantly feeding them Mana Marshall never stopped upgrading his creatures. When they finally gained their cores his monsters could easily fight Mana beasts alone.

Orcs according to most novels were green skinned, stupid, muscle heads who only loved rape, murder, and pillaging. Instead orcs were beings similar and disimilar to humans. The orcs made communities like villages and countries. Some of them were also expert crafters. The main difference between humans and orcs physically is that orcs can get cores. The difference in a race mentality is how united orcs are as opposed to humans. Orcs were usually seperated into crafters and battlers. The crafters supplied weapons, armour, potions, formations, and even food to the battlers while the battlers would supply materials and protection.

The orc that Law captured was a battler that was off on a job to gather the skin of a specific monster. It was during this time that Laws battle trio discovered him. The instant Law saw the orc he knew that he needed it, he was worse than a child seeing a new toy. For the orc to be captured was alot easier than Marshall had expected it to go. Literally the entire process was the lady bug flying up and then dropping onto the spear wielding orc. After that the orc was knocked out, tied up, and then brought to the dungeon.

The entire time Law was giddy and one could feel his prescence shake worse than some one with parkinsons. ( Not making fun of patients with parkinsons disease it was just the first thing that came to mind. )

When the orc finally reached the dungeon Law instantly started examining and upgrading its body. The first thing Law did was to make the orc enter into a coma. After that started to massage its entire body to turn all of its red muscles into pink muscles. Though for the most part the orc actually had fairly optimized muscles for battle they werent perfect. After half a year of Law personally performing the massage the orc reached the peak battle state for its current body.

When he was done with its muscles Law started messing around with its bones. He would slowly increase and then condense the orcs bones in a slow and equal pattern, once again spending half a year or so.

With the bones and muscles done Law moved on to the organs and blood, making them as perfect as Law could possibly do. Law also condensed the orcs Mana Core as much as he could.

When Law was finally done with the inner body he moved onto his favorite part, skin.

Marshall loved to play around with skin as you could do so many different things to better the orcs skin. He could make scales, or make a carapace, he could even just upgrade the regular skin as much as possible. Marshall decided to do the first two options. He first went about using the nails and hair to create a type of flexible carapace/ armour. He didnt have much luck though he did make something similar to chainmail using the hair. The hairmail was made to be a helmet covering the orcs face and throat. After that Law gave the orc a body similar to a monkey with long arms that hang down to the orcs knees. The orcs body was manipulated to how a short body with compact organs. The legs length was increased.

It took an entire four years for Law to completely finish upgrading the orc, of course he'd done more than just focus on the orc. He had continued strengthening the trio and owl. He had also worked on some other biological subjects specifically a hawk, a real alligator, a horse, and a treant. Law had also continued claiming land and had long since claimed seven hundred miles of land. He could claim so much despite spending quite a bit on his projects from the gains Law had made in his Mana.

The land contained a large human, elf, and fairy city that bordered on a forest. The city was pretty above average in size compared to what one might expect for a seemingly middle ages time. The size of the stone and wood city was likely because of the three different races occupying the city. There were very distinct districts for the three races. The Elf area had many trees growing all around and all of the buildings were built using wood planks. The Fairy city didnt have any buildings built and instead had little mounds in the ground that they lived inside of. There was also countless wildflowers all around the ground. The Human areas buildings were built for effeciency and protection instead of beauty and comfort. All of the Human buildings were built primarily of stone with only select few buildings deserving the beatuy of wood. Law had done a test where he created a building inside of the city and see if it counted as a dungeon, it did.

With his test completed Law took inspiration from a dungeon novel he had once read and created an inn. The inn was free so long as one was a mercernary. Mercernaries are basically adventurers from novels.

Thanks to his inn Law had a constant source of Dungeon Points for shopping in the dungeon store. He would gain at least one Dp per level one mercernary, any higher level would correspond with the amount he recieved. Level 2 is two dp, level three is 3 dp, etc. Law had gained a solid one thousand dp over a year, but he had started to make more as his inn became more popular.

Dungeon Store

Marshall bought the Language Comprehension Skill for three hundred Dp when he first saw it, he did this to understand any mercernaries who attack his dungeon in the future. He assumed the skill was so cheap because it isnt that hard to learn languages as long as one had the time and energy. He also bought the Formation Book Basic for three hundred Dp. After he bought those two things Law decided to relax by watching his battle squad attack a pack of magical wolves.
