chapter 50

after dropping the old man off in his bed i left Mary to take care of him, it's time for a feast in my honor. after all it's tradition to hold a feast with the entire village upon a change in leadership. some chefs are already preparing food outside over some open flames, i would join them but who would i impress with my shabby cooking. i head out and meet up with my pets, who are all together, except Lucy who is lighting the bonfire. such a tedious task that is.

"i see your harem is now complete, having one girl of every class. I'm proud of you." Lilith

"you're just saying that because you want to play with some new toys." jack

"true intentions revealed" Lilith

currently aria is petting ghost using magic to basically pet her soul, which seems to feel really good. i wonder if i could do the same with the mind? something to check out in the future.

"interesting skill you have there."jack

"i kind of picked it up from laura after watching her use some of her special soul magic. it's really usefully." aria

"i bet, think you can teach me?" jack

"sure, but latter. it's kind of tricky." aria

"that's fine." jack

Lynda slithers over to me blushing, as always.

"that was a fierce fight, I've never seen something like that" Lynda

"it wasn't the hardest or the most desperate fight I've been in, or anything like that, but it is definitely a memorable one." jack

in the corner of my eyes i notice a certain elf getting molested by a certain nymph, in many senses of the word. Johanna

notices me and stops molesting laura, who starts complaining till she sees me.

"how's our adoptive father?" Johanna

"wait, you two are siblings? adopted siblings?" laura

"yeah, we were both adopted by the same people, but we don't really think about that." jack

"i see." laura

at around this time Lucy starts to walk over hear after completing the daunting task of getting that damn bon fire lit. as

soon as laura sees Lucy she stops and stares, mouth slack.

"what's up with her?" Lucy

"i know your soul! you were our maid!" laura

"well i do have a vague memory of being a used as a maid two incarnations ago, it kind of passed by in a blur, not really

interesting. although i do remember burning to death in a city wide fire though." Lucy

"your soul seems injured, like it was shredded and put back together multiple times, something i had only seen once

before coming to this world. but here there are things like you every-wear, especially in dungeons." laura

"what an accurate description of what it feels like to become a damned soul." Lucy

"i am so glad that i didn't have to lite the bon fire this time, who volunteered you to do it?" jack

"Johanna, that damned wood was magically enchanted to be fire proof! it's like it was found in a dungeon or something!"

Lucy

"that's because it was, miss dryad is the dungeon master of the dungeon known as the Valium forest." jack

"what is her name anyway? i haven't managed to overhear it yet." Lucy

"i don't know, when i asked her about it i was answered with 'it's been so long that even i can't remember'" jack

we all sit down at a table, where we are joined by rostwood, the twins, Joe, Selena, and the twins parents.

"any word on from your parents?" Lucy

"my mom called me, she received the letter and is heading here now, should get here around the same time your aunt

gives birth." Joe

"my parents were in another city when everything happened. my dad wasn't exactly in shape, chance of him surviving is

next to 0, but my mom is a martial artist that only married my dad for money. so, yeah. my dad's pork roast and my mom

is probably already safe." Selena

"I've gotten really good at fighting multiple people thanks to your training." rostwood

"good, although all i did was blind you that's good. remember that there always will be someone stronger than you and

to never stop improving" jack

"yes" rostwood

i notice aunty and uncle coming up to our table, we have exactly 2 seats left available.

"how's my baby cousin coming?" Johanna

"coming along nice and healthy" aunty

"i can't wait to meet my baby boy" uncle

i begin to wonder what an infant's mind is like, so i mentally reach out to it. at first i feel it recede from my touch, which

surprised me, no one has ever noticed my touch before. i then send happy thoughts, thoughts of safety and contentment

to him, like what it would normally have from his mother. after accepting my mind's touch i notice how simple yet complex his mind is. after 'looking' around for a bit i notice something. i notice one slight change that i could make to make the mind more efficient, a lot more. and the child is at the perfect stage to do this without any harmful side effects, i think. anyway after making a small change i feel the mind that I'm touching speed up. his thoughts are moving at about twice the speed they were before, so around 1/4 a normal humans or around 1/8 of mine. my own thoughts having speed up through use of psychological magic.

"you kind of spaced out there, is everything alright?" Johanna

"yeah I'm fine, i can't wait to meet my cousin." jack

the day went by with eating, drinking, and dancing. you should see a giant drunk orc trying to waltz, it's hilarious. after

dancing with everyone multiple times, i found watching the traditional dances of various races to be rather interesting.

we decided to retire for the night. we all went to sleep on my giant bed, by we i meant me and my pets, after a little

having a little fun of course. tomorrow i Will have to officially take charge, and i have some great ideas for changes.

i find myself drifting off to sleep when i hear something

"finally the bastard fell asleep, now i can take my revenge." ???

i feel something take control of my dream, similar to how Lilith does it but more malicious. it doesn't matter, dreams are

my territory.

sorry for taking so long to post this chapter, i have a good reason. i am getting ready to put up this game we call life for sale! i am hopeing to be able to sell it within the week so wish me luck.
