At the center of Hui’s body, a miniature star slowly revolved. It was almost a perfectly round silver egg and the surface was barren.

Hui’s consciousness sank towards his core and observed it.

‘What is the purpose of this thing?’

Hui assumed that the visibility of the core meant that the previously hidden energy was now fully manipulable. Before, he had only managed to unconsciously activate energy during peak moments of concentration. However, regardless of any attempts Hui made, the core remained tranquil.

Sighing softly to himself, Hui exited introspection. It was moments like these that he sorely wished he was human. Though he’d miss out on convenient qualities of this sapling body, he’d gain much needed insight on this world, … along with other vital human functions.

Thinking of his impotence, Hui’s sapling body drooped pitifully.

‘Forget it! Who says a plant can’t $#!^ anyways?! If so, I will go against my destiny, for all my plant brothers!’

Feeling inspired and slightly bitter, Hui darted off into the woods in search of an adversary to test his progress, and to vent his frustrations.

Small creatures for kilometers around lowered their heads in trepidation as they felt a familiar chill in the air from the perverted and diabolical plant that appeared recently. To their elation, Hui barely spared a glance for them as he passed overhead.

Hui headed towards the general direction of where the boar had initially came from. For the past month, he had only wandered around the spot where he had come into this world. From sightseeing above the treetops, Hui knew that he was in what could be considered the outskirts of the forest, which spanned as far as he could sense in all directions.

The higher level beast had come from what was deeper in, judging by the increasing height of trees, and the eeriness of animal cries that echoes from within.

Hui’s senses opened up as he heightened his guard. He had personally seen the devastation the boar caused, and knew underestimating the wilderness would lead to imminent death.
