《ETERNAL FREEDOM》THE FIGHT BY THE LAKE (1)

Life is very simple, strange and abrupt. Unlike in video games, where one can still stand from dozens of injuries just by taking some painkillers, in real life even a shallow wound is painful and deadly, and there is no such thing such as 'fighting spirit' or 'indomitable will' which will extend your breath. Many times people die because of simple reasons, like a wound from an arrow, or a punch to the gut, or even being scratched in the face.

Eastern Lake, Giant Continent.

Screams echoed from the mouths of the soldiers of the Desolate Han tribe as the stones hurled towards them crushed their brethren. The Kamels of the group leaders shrieked in horror and almost collapsed, and only calmed down after getting some smacks over their buttocks.

Madam Yao glanced behind her and shouted.

"Yi, help the first stone throwing group !"

Yi nodded and jumped off her Kamel. She saw the familiar faces in the group, who she had practiced stone throwing with. One of them was squashed underneath a stone, becoming a pulp.

"Formation !"

Yi shouted, and the three stood in a V formation. They each held a string of a rope and ran in a circle, and the rock slowly flew in the air.

"Haaa.....throw !"

With a shout, they simultaneously opened their palms, and the stone launched itself in the air towards the Gu tribe.

"Humph !"

Chief Gun snorted and aimed with his totem. His totem was made of tree branch which had small twists, with a small skull of a bird on the top. Light gathered at its slightly open beak and burst out towards the stone in the air. The stone shattered into small fragments, and deviated from their course.

Tong narrowed his eyes and pointed at the fragments. Red lights were released and bound to them like ropes. Tong pulled and rotated the fragments in a circle around himself, and then threw them again towards the Gu tribe.

"Dodge this, bastard !"

Chief Gun heard Tong's taunts and sweated inside. He could prevent one or two stones, but not so many of them. He jumped from his Kamel and struck the ground with his totem. The ground shattered and a large earth wall rose before him, shielding his soldiers. The stone fragments smashed into the wall and created loud booms. Cracks appeared and the edges of the wall fell apart.

"He's crazy !"

Chief Gun mumbled in fear as he sensed the remaining energy in his totem. He had lost almost fifty percent of the power inside his totem. Usually during a war the chiefs only showed some small fireworks to highlight themselves and avoided expending their totem. After all, losing their totem's power was no different from the end of their tribe.

Chief Fun watched Tong's madness and held his totem up in the air.

"Don't drag us down with you !"

A fireball floated in the air above the totem and became large with each passing second. Tong simply snorted and waved his totem. The air froze and mist started rising in the battlefield. With another wave of his hand, the mist spiraled around the fireball and started cooling it down.

Below this supernatural fight, the mortal giants fought with each other using their fists and kicks, and those riding the Kamels used stone slings to smack their opponent's heads off. The giants had engaged in melee and ranged attacks like stone throwing could not be used.

The Fu and Gu tribe seemed to have allied against the Han tribe, and had caught them in a pincer attack.

"Enough !"

A loud shout boomed throughout the battlefield, and the cold mist killed the large fireball in the air and froze the enemy tribes. The frost pulled the giants from the Fu and Gu tribe from their berserk state and they turned from red to their usual white.

"Kill !"

The group leaders of the Desolate Han shouted to increase their morale and fought with increased vigor. Grunts and screams echoed throughout the shore of the lake, and the pressure on the Han people lessened.

This was the case until three orange berserks joined the fight !

The three chiefs engaged in a melee, and Tong found himself fighting two people at the same time.

"Complete and utter bullying !"

Tong spoke thorough clenched teeth. He wanted to end this quickly but the dim lights on the eye sockets of his totem told him that it wasn't long before his totem became useless.

Compared to the red berserks, the orange berserks seemed to be on a different level of power, and each of their fist brought forth small winds and suction forces. Some soldiers tried to interfere but were dead after accidentally being hit.

Unlike the fight between the chiefs, which was completely filled with supernatural phenomenon, the giant soldiers only used fists, kicks, and stones to beat their enemies.

Yi and Madam Yao cleared the path for their group as they used stone slings and smacked the enemy tribes.

"Die !"

A person yelled and charged towards Yi. She saw a man charging towards her on a Kamel. The stone sling he used was larger than size of his head, and the stone was red with blood. He was clearly a ruthless person.

Yi stood slightly on her Kamel and rotated her sling. In response he heard a snort and the man bent his back and hid behind his Kamel, who was charging towards her. She did not hesitate and kicked her Kamel's belly, urging him to rush forward. She aimed and threw her stone sling, which accurately struck the mount of her enemy. The Kamel growled and collapsed because of dizziness. The man was shocked and jumped from his Kamel while leaving his heavy stone sling.

"Haa !"

They both shouted as they berserked once more and approached each other. The man had excellent instincts and easily detected the feint attacks Yi used and snorted.

"Petty tricks."

He punched and Yi dodged, followed by a stomp on his feet. The man did not expect such a despicable attack and screamed in pain. Yi grasped this opportunity and elbowed him once, then rotated her body quickly and him with the other elbow, finishing her combo attack. The man collapsed and was almost knocked out from the heavy attacks. His jaw swelled and thrummed in pain.

Yi had almost reached him to finish the fight when a heavy stone hit her head, making her dizzy. She collapsed and her head started bleeding.

"How was that, b*tch !"

She vaguely heard a taunt before her vision blackened.

Madam Yao glanced at Yi collapsing and wanted to rush towards her, but her two opponents on their Kamels blocked her path. The both of them were men from different tribes, but surprisingly were coordinating with each other against her.

"Gu tribe brother, have you ever f*ked a woman from the Han before ?"

"Not yet, Fu tribe brother. This is a good opportunity to cement our friendship. Look at her big chest and that tight ass, even if we sell her later to the slave traders, we'll be earning ourselves a good fortune...."

Madam Yao ignored their ridiculous talk and signaled her Kamel. Her Kamel charged as she swung her sling in the air. The men laughed and copied her action, which was the standard tactic of sling using in the army. However, Madam Yao immediately jumped towards one of the men when the distance between them lessened and rolled on the ground. The slings were not like a sword or a bow and arrow, and was difficult to aim and use. Madam Yao quickly stood up and rotated herself on the tip of her toe, creating the needed angular momentum for her stone sling and threw it.

The stone perfectly hit a man, knocking him down from his Kamel into the dirt. The other man was surprised but gathered himself from the initial shock. However, he realized he could not attack her as the Kamel without his rider was blocking his vision. In this moment of distraction Madam Yao's Kamel smashed into his Kamel and tackled the both onto the ground. The man was unfortunate as the Kamel fell over his knee, trapping him to the place.

Madam Yao quickly approached him and twisted his neck, ending his misery. At this moment, four more red berserkers surrounded her, cracking their fingers. At this moment a loud voice boomed throughout the battlefield.

"Enough !"

Frost gathered around the four, and as they shivered their berserk stopped and their swollen bodies shriveled. They looked at Madam Yao who was still red and full of energy, and gulped.
