《ETERNAL FREEDOM》CHAPTER 10 A BITTER FIGHT

Param was sweating inside. Although he’d gotten used to living a barbaric life in forest, fighting with a tree giant was totally something he didn’t want to do.
He wanted to nag towards his girlfriend but was frozen stiff. Madhu looked exited and was trying out swords, spears and halberds from the soldiers.
This woman is too much of a war maniac. Even though Param liked to spout heroic lines like “ Everyone needs someone to rely on. You can rely on me” (VFX : shining teeth), he was just someone who created video games. You could ask him to defeat a demon lord in a game, but not even a drunk rowdy in real life.
“Let’s go” Claire said. Before he could say ‘Chotto Matte’ Madhu had already ran forward like a ninja, while bending forward and keeping her hands back.
Param sighed, and followed.
The three Druids started chanted something nasally, and the air around them began to distort a little. They were using a technique only available in the Druid Shrine, a technique which allowed them to combine their powers with each other. It was an extremely profound technique, and although it was extremely inefficient, it could create major damage to all.
The three felt the resistance from the environment. Yun Bao felt uncomfortable throughout her whole body. The Gateway Continent was a harsh place. They felt as if they were being suppressed by some Celestial, and that they were not eligible to even exist in this place.

Far away, a pair of eyes watched the show as the whole camp struggled against the tree giant. It’s entire body was made up of energy, and had scale like pattern all over. It had no hands or feet, yet it owned a pair of majestic horns over its head.
“So it had begun” it said.
The creature was the Horned Snake, Sheesha.
***
Mega Groot was walking toward the camp when he saw three tiny figures running toward itself. He couldn’t identify who had stolen his seeds months ago, but he know that the thief looked somewhat like these people.
He gave a war cry and sprinted towards the little people. There were numerous trees in between so he had to run slowly- he didn’t want to destroy the trees.
Param watched the comical show the tree giant was showing and almost got a heart attack when Madhu heroically started climbing the leg to the giant.

Even Claire started sweating after watching this. Weren’t these people greenhorns who just acted like a newly married couple ?
The giant was irritated when Madhu grabbed its leg and waved it, trying to shoo her away. Claire chanted nasally while running and released her attack when she came near the giant.
A thin stream of lightning was released from her fingertips and struck Mega Groot.
Param saw this and blurted out. “Chidori Stream !”
It was fortunate no one heard that.
Mega Groot was doubly irritated. First you steal my seeds and now you beat me up ! With his immature intelligence he couldn’t think rationally like an adult; all he knew was that he had to beat these little people up.
His body felt numb and he had difficulty moving. But his attachment for his seeds gave him strength. He poured strength and moved his arms to swat Claire away.
Param was near Claire with his ability activated. The energy inside his body moved in a fixed path and was inserted into the minor chakras at the soles of his foot. He bent his body and pushed himself. Like a bullet he flew diagonally and reached near Claire.
Claire could not use her magic successively like how she did on Fairy Continent and felt immediately tired. A huge hand came near her to throw her away. She could even see the lines on the hand and its tree like structure.
She felt somebody pull her up and she was raised up in the sky.
They both rolled away from the hand a few meters away.
Meanwhile, Madhu had reached the giant’s shoulder thanks to her physical strength. Mega Groot tried many times to make her fall off but she kept left and right, up and down.
The giant roared and it slammed its own back. It’s back trembled and Madhu slipped. She stabbed her spear into the beast’s back and stopped her fall. Mega Groot growled in pain and shook his body.
Madhu took out a sword from her waist and stabbed it again into the giant.
“Madhu !” Param screamed when he saw that. Mega Groot just had to fall on his back and Madhu will die terribly.
At that moment, a golden ball flew towards the tree giant from the camp. It flew rapildly towards the giant and it was so bright that Mega Groot had to close his eyes.

The golden ball which contained terrible destructive power and looked like a symbol of devastation, destruction and death grew close to the giant and grazed him in the shoulder.
“What the …” Param said stunned.
Even Claire couldn’t think of what to say to this.
At the camp…
The soldiers protecting the Druid Elders were stunned.
Yun Bao was shocked and embarrassed as were her juniors.
She looked at the soldiers from the corner of her eyes and thought.
‘Heck, this is too embarrassing.’
The golden ball burned the treed giant’s shoulder and continued flying forward, where it detonated and created a crater.
Param tightened his fist and told Claire. “Throw me up”
She hesitated for a moment and agreed.
She spun him round and round and Param regretted doing this.
She threw him into the air towards the giant.
Her throw wasn’t very strong and Param was slowing down. He growled angrily and shouted.
“Thrust” His ability worked and gave him the required boost.
He reached the left shoulder of the giant. The giant was screaming in pain and trying to disperse the flame on his right shoulder.
Param stabilized himself over the giant’s shoulder and gave a quick glance at Madhu which stunned him again.
Madhu was literally climbing the giants back by stabbing with her spear and sword ! He could not relate this woman to the one who passionately called his name.
It only took her a few seconds to reach near him. He pulled her up and they wasted no time.
Madhu activated Over Boost and stabbed her spear into the giant’s head. It’s head was and open crown with a jelly like substance exposed. It looked exactly like the jelly seed except that it was almost transparent.
Mega Groot wailed in agony. It was clearly deeply hurt. Madhu and Param could feel his pain through it’s voice.
Param’s mouth became dry, but now wasn’t the time for this.
He held Madhu and kicked the spear while activating his ability. The spear was impaled further while Param was thrusted away from the giant.
Param had used his ability three times and that made him tired. His body felt drained of energy, but he still had to stop their fall.
So he activated his ability again. His body was empty but he forced it to scrap some together.
A small whirlwind gathered below his feet and he felt pain from his soles. He fell down slowly with Madhu in his arms.
Claire wasted no time and dragged the two away as she was less exhausted than the two.
Mega Groot stumbled and walked away from the battlefield.
He was in pain. They took it’s seeds, and now they even hurt him so terribly. He wept and wept while crawling away.
The penguin like Sage Beast was hidden behind a large tree and saw the tattered and bloody tree giant. The tree giant was crying and wailing in pain like a little kid when tortured.
Hearing these cries made the Sage Beast very sad. He seemed to have done something terribly wrong.
At this moment, he learned a new emotion forgotten by many – Empathy.
***
Mad Saber was furious right now. Some bastards had spread some ridiculous stories about him-
Like he killed someone because he got angry.
Like he stole someone’s wife.
Like he was a playboy.
Like he was a despicable invincible bandit.
He glanced at his side. Aarunya was walking with him with her share of luggage. Her hair were tied in a bun and her loose clothes gave traces of her feminine beauty.
(Author’s Note : Aarunya means the first rays of the sun)
She was the daughter-in-law of the despicable Faltu Clan. She was bought by the clan when she was little to be married to the three sons of the clan. It was not a surprise that she had a hard life.
Mad Saber only wanted to defeat her husbands, who were the local experts. But when he knew more about her he simply couldn’t control his temper.
The Dynasties were fighting every day to ensure humanity’s survival, yet shits like him repaid them with this !
Did thousands of youngsters die for this kind of people.
With his saber he went berserk, and sent the three to another world. When he came to be, he realized another problem- the wife of the three dead men !
The grasslands were not like the lands of Dynasty- it was chaotic and without rules. A young defenseless woman was just an open treasure.
So, Aarunya tagged along with him as they moved towards a small branch of a Druid Sect.

8 216The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus. 8 186The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.
8 249Rise
20 years have passed since the Chaos Energy Quake rippled through the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year-long Quake, Chaos Energy became unusable, rendering much of the galaxy’s technology useless, and preventing Chaotics – beings who possess supernatural abilities – from using their powers. The galaxy has since moved on from the Quake, but to this day no one knows what could have caused it. The only broadly possible hints lie with the woefully few Chaotics born during the Quake, such as the seven Chaotics born on the world of Nimalia, homeworld of the Nimalian Territories. The other galactic civilizations see little correlation between the Quake and those born during it, but now that the seven have reached the age of 20, some Nimalians think they may be able to finally learn exactly what caused the galactic disruption two decades ago…

Juan, Dose, and Tracey are the first three villagers to start building New Spainland. But what will happen as they discover...they aren't the only ones on the planet
8 150I am but Divine
Being a god is a dream. A very big, ambitious dream that probably no one has ever achieved. In the world of Taerrea, there were a set amount of gods that ruled over the world; the god of war, the god of the skies, the god the earth, etc. and that the general rule of thumb was that the numbers of the gods could not be added nor removed. That changed after one fateful event. Nemer, a Slayer, had died from a battle, and from a deal he made with a doubtedly wise god of wisdom and knowledge, Wize, he became the first ever lesser god.
