"You should use your Spirit Core," Akiza said to Serph.
"But it is something we earned together, it would not be right if I kept it for myself," answered Serph.
"I told you already," said Akiza. "I get the flower, you get the Spirit."
"Are you absolutely sure?" asked Serph.
"Yes," said Akiza. "I'll even watch over you while you do it."
Serph took the Golem Spirit Core out of his ring. He absorbed it into his Dantian.
"Congratulations," said Akiza.
"It's all thanks to you," said Serph.
"What does it do?" Akiza asked.
"Let's find out," Serph replied.
Serph activated his new Golem Spirit. A small square piece of metal appeared in front of him. "Is this is a shield?" he wondered.
"It looks like something that Senior Cixi had," said Akiza.
"What did her's do?" Serph asked.
"It was a defensive ability," Akiza answered. "It barely cracked when I hit it with all my might. Yours probably has a similar ability."
Serph moved the shield around. He could control where it went and the size of it. "It seems pretty useful."
"That things was pretty strong," said Akiza. "It makes sense that the ability it gave was either very strong or very useful. It could also be both."
After a while, the two moved on. They were still looking for a safe place that they could hide. The fog was pretty thick and Akiza had to lead Serph through the fog as well.
"While we're here, we should collect some more materials," said Akiza.
"Are you insane?" said Serph. "The monsters here are insanely strong, we can't beat them."

"We don't have to," said Akiza. "We let them beat each other. And we have a whole year to do this." Akiza's eyes gleamed. She was interested in all of the powerful sources of Internal Energy.
Serph actually did not know what to do. They had no idea where they were going. Only Akiza could so he really could not disagree if she wanted to go in a certain direction. "I guess if we stay hidden and safe, it should be okay." Serph reluctantly agreed.
Akiza changed directions and headed towards the nearest intense source of Internal Energy she could find. There Serph saw the skeleton of a person. Someone had died here. "Were they lost? Did they get greedy?" he thought to himself. "I don't want to end up like that," he said.
"We won't," said Akiza.
Serph was comforted by those words. He continued to follow Akiza who showed knowledge beyond her age. She seemed to know what she was doing.
Eventually, the two found a cave. "Look!" said Akiza.
"It's a cave!" said Serph. "We can hide in here."
"There's something inside," said Akiza. "It is about as strong as the golem."
"Then we can do it," said Serph.
The two walked inside the cave. The fog did not reach inside the cave. Serph was actually able to see while inside the cave. It was enormous. There was a small tunnel at the back. The cave went deeper. The source of Internal Energy Akiza felt was from further inside.
Carefully, they made their way inside. The sound of running water became louder as they descended. There was a source of water here as well. When they reached the end, they saw a giant blue turtle. It was sleeping.

"It's big," said Serph.
"That means it should be slow," said Akiza. "We can probably take it on like we did the golem."
"Think we can do it?" asked Serpf.
"Yes," said Akiza. "It should be just as strong as the golem."
"I think you should try to finish it in one hit," said Serpf.
"Alright," said Akiza.
Serph watched as Akiza charged a blue flame in her hand. Wings appeared on Akiza's back. "Armatization," he said to himself.
Akiza dashed forward "Rising Phoenix Strike!" she shouted! "Exploding First Wing!" Akiza's wing exploded with an intense force propelling her forward. BOOM. The entire cave shook as Akiza's fist came into contact with the head of the turtle.
The turtle fell to its feet. "OOOOOMMMMM" the turtle roared.
"It didn't work," said Akiza.
"Well it was worth a try," said Serph as he drew his sword.
The two of them stood mirrored from the turtle. "Avoid the shell and hit the skin," said Serph.
Akiza punched the turtle, but the impact knocked her back. "The skin is too tough."
"Use this sword," said Serph as he threw one to Akiza.
Serph cut the leg of the turtle to draw its attention. "OOOOOMMMMM" the turtle roared. Bubbles came out of its mouth.
"Watch out!" shouted Akiza.
They were slow, but the bubbles exploded with a powerful force. A single hit from it would cause severe wounds. It would be dangerous if they managed to fill the room.
Akiza charged forward and thrusted the sword deep into the the turtle's leg. "I can't pull it out! It's stuck!" she cried.
Serpf took out several more swords and spread them on the ground. "Take one if you need it!" he shouted.
"Thanks," said Akiza.
The turtle's leg got stuck with the sword. It moved its head towards Akiza, but it could not move its leg. It was stuck.
"Serph! Stab a sword through the turtle's other leg!" Akiza shouted.
"Sonic Thrust!" Serph shouted as he leaped towards the turtle's leg. Serph pierced the tough skin of the turtle and embedded the sword inside of it. The turtle could no longer move its front legs.
Akiza picked up two swords off the ground and prepared another dash attack, at the turtle's head. "Rising Phoenix Strike! Exploding First Wing! Exploding Second Wing!" she cried. Both of wings exploded with an intense force, pushing Akiza forward at an incredible speed. She thrusted both swords into the turtle's head, piercing its head and killing it.
"OOOOOMMMMM" the turtle roared as it fell to the ground.
"We did it!" shouted Serph.
"Thank you," said Akiza. "I could not have done this without you."
"It was good that I brought all these swords along," said Serph.
The two went to collect all the swords. They may need them again in the future.

Not Genbu Spirit troll. Squirtle used Bubble on Akiza and Serph. It's not very effective.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

8 76How to Create Adventure
What would you create to draw people to your realm? How about a place where things are exciting and you look forward to what new expereinces there could be. A place where danger exists, but in a way that more hinders than harms you. A place where you can stop and enjoy the view or experiences instead of endless dangers. This dungeon may be dangerous, but if you are prepared, you will love it regardless. Here is how you create an adventure. (It's my first time, I'm just writing for fun so don't expect daily updates)
