“Why in the hell is there a hut in the middle of the woods?” I asked aloud.
“Well, m’lord… you wouldn’t expect to find the hut, so you wouldn’t go looking for it… making it a pretty good hiding spot” Farengar replied.
“Okay… let’s meet the neighbors” I said with a smile as I walked up to the door and knocked.
*BAM*
I-I was hit in the face by the door… and tackled!
“Grant! Y-you’re safe! Thank god!” It was Millie! And she’s on me! What! Why? How?.
“Millie… c-can you get off of me…” I said a little awkwardly as she moved off of me… her face beat red.
“Hahaha!” I heard the laughter of a man above me.
“Hello there, I’m Leon. I helped your little friend here… I’m glad to see you’re alright and so are your…” Leon looked at Alisha and pulled out a sword and shouted.
“Monster!” and he slashed at her!
But, Farengar got in the way and… punched the guy in the face, knocking him out.
“W-what was that!?” I asked.
“That’s Leon… he saved me… and he’s a bit of an idiot… with a spell that makes people tell the truth… Damn it! He didn’t take the spell off of me!” Millie shouted in anger.
“Spell? What spell? The truth spell?” I asked in a confused tone.
“Obviously! He said he took it off me… damn lying asshat!” she shouted as she walked over to his unconscious body and kicked him in the stomach.
“Uuf!” He woke up almost instantaneously.
“You lying asshat! Take the spell off of me!” Millie shouted at him in anger.
“O-okay! Don’t hit me again!” He said as he made several hand signs as he was slightly cowering in fear.

“Good… let’s see if it worked. Grant, I absolutely hate your guts” Millie said.
“So… it didn’t work?” I asked.
“No, it worked. I don’t hate you… that much” Her face flushed in a shade of red.
“Okay then, who the fuck are you?” I asked Leon.
“Just your totally average guy with one hand… who can also control the spirits of the dead… and you’ve got quite a few angry spirits around you… they’re bad luck, you know” Leon said.
“So, basically… You control the dead, see spirits and… make people tell the truth? You’re practically useless in a fight, aren’t you?” I asked.
“...Yeah, but that’s not my fault! Richard here’s the one that took my hand!” Leon said as a spirit appeared out of nowhere and Leon punched it in the face.
“You asshole! I only did that because you fucking stole our k- Ow!” He got punched in the face again.
“Completely Richard’s fault, not at all mine! Now, piss off Richard!” Leon said as the spirit disappeared.
“So… he’s crazy, right?” I asked in a whisper to my companions.
“Yeah… he is, but… not the dangerous type of crazy… just the… weird one” Millie replied.
“Okay, good to know... “ I whispered back.
“So, can we come inside?” I asked Leon. As I gripped my sword tightly.
“Of course, but… there isn’t enough room for all of you to sleep, so one of you might have to sleep outside… maybe two” Leon said as he glared directly at Farengar and Alisha.
“Alisha, Farengar… stay outside to guard, I’ll help out with the tent later” I said to my companions as I took an incomplete tent out of my inventory.
“Of course, m’lord. We’ll make sure nothing harms you while you're in the hut… Whether the threat is from inside or outside the hut” Farengar glared at Leon.

We walked inside to find… a surprisingly well-kept house.
“Yeah, the spirits help me out with the chores in this place, keeps it clean as a whistle… unless that whistle was dropped into a pile of shit, no saving it then! Haha!” Leon laughed at his own joke while we just watched in silence and horror… the joke was THAT bad.
“Fuck you! That was funny!” Leon said in anger.
“No… no, it wasn’t” I replied.
“Okay… maybe we have different senses of humor, yeah… that…” Leon said, trying to convince himself.
“So… about those trolls, do you know what caused them?” I asked.
“Well, it was obviously was Rekial the god of chaos! Duh!” Leon sighed.
“”Who?”” Millie and I asked at the same time.

The Monster Inside: The First Vampire

They wanted to taint it, corrupt it, revel in its dark side. This is the story of a boy who was tainted. Of a boy who unintentionally bore a seed of sin and who in his naivety let it out. This is the story of how that boy was shamed and disgraced. Of how he was outcast for simply being. This is the story of how that boy learned to embrace the darkness that made him different. A darkness that would later make him known as the Lord of Night. Note to Reader: I understand this book is not for everyone, if there is a writer that can write to please everyone, I have never heard of them. The MC can be frustrating in his decisions as he learns to grow and accept what and who he is. I believe this reality is unavoidable. That being said, if you feel the need to give a review, please do so, just know that I will report you if all that review seems to do is blab toxic language and insult my literary choices without giving constructive advice or alternatives. That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.

The doors to this library are hard to find, but reality is stranger than fiction.-*-*-*-*-Author: It's hard to categorize such novels properly, so I recommend my novel to those who like stories with many elements woven together to form an engaging world where things happen not because the author wills it, but because the story wills it from the author. Even though I have quite a few chapters written already, if they aren't well received I will stop posting them. The content of the story may be mentally traumatizing for some, please read at your own risk.
