《The Summoner》Chapter 6: Lucifer

It has been a week since we arrived at the capital of Shilla, Goyeo. When we had returned we had parted with the representatives and promised to see each other again at the frontier town of Roswell 10 days from now. Today was finally the day we departed to Roswell. Hyun Jin, myself and the other high ranking officers were getting ready to depart for the meeting of all the high ranking officers.
As I was relaxing under the shade of a large tree, I see that Hyun Jin and Galahad had finished preparations and were heading towards me. Galahad was slowly trailing behind Hyun Jin as if he was trying to be shielded by his master. It was quite amusing to see a 20 ft tall young dragon acting like a puppy but geez I wonder why he was acting like that since we had departed the cave. Hyun Jin had asked about it a couple times but I told him I dont know why.
"Yo Hyun Jin, you ready to go?"
"Ya just got done. I bet youre dying to go to finally see "her again" heh heh"
I ignore his comments as hes been acting like a little girl about her ever since we returned. Anyways after another hour we begin our journey to Roswell.
It was a comfortable travel as it was currently spring and the weather felt amazing. The view that Hyun Jin and I see makes us sigh in amazement as there was almost no places that had this type of scenery on earth anymore.
On the third day of travel, we finally arrive at Roswell. There were already a guard detail made up of elves and dwarves that inspected us and our documents before letting us into the town. We go immediately to our lodging and unpack our bags. Hyun Jin and I go downstairs and eat a quick bite before we retire for the night and begin preparation for the meeting tomorrow.
Within the mayor's audience room there was currently 11 beings. The three highest ranking officers for all three armies were in attendance including us. A5 the moment Hyun Jin and I were sitting beside each other while massaging our foreheads.
"That was the most retarded plan I have ever heard!! You want us to immediately get our armies together and invade the demon territory?! It must be true that dwarves have no brains because I cant think of anyone who could say such things when they can think!!"
"Wha...WHAT DID YOU SAY JUST NOW?!?! YE LOOKING FOR A FIGHT?! AHHH?!!"
"Sigh both you are so ignorant and violent. Please calm down and talk calmly."
""SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU DAMN PEACING LOVING TREE HUGGER!!""
All three sides had been arguing for the past two hours about what was the best course of action from now on. The discussion up to now seemed to be about who could insult the other worse. At first it was quite amusing to listen to them, but good lord its already been two hours with no end in sight!!

As Hyun Jin and I were trying to think up how to stop them from arguing, Dal Rin walks up from behind us and sits down in the empty seat beside me.
"So how are you two enjoying the meeting?"
"This is a meeting?! You dont seem surpised. Is it always like this?"
As Hyun Jin questions her, I finally awake from my daze of looking at her. Oops I got myself distracted.
"Yeah its always like this when all three races meet. Thats actually the main reason we decided to make you the leader of the army since if we didnt, we would never make a decision. So I believe its your turn Mr. Hero to go up there and calm everyone down"
Hyun Jin looks at Dal Rin with a face of horror as if he wanted to rebuke how he suppose to do that before letting out a huge sigh and dejectedly going to the chaos in the middle of the room.
"Hey, Lee Hyun how ya been?"
"...huh?!?! Oh hey I been alright how about yourself?"
*giggle* "Im not going to eat you you know? You dont have to act so nervous with me"
"...eh heh I guess not huh?"
As I slowly lose the nervousness from within Dal Rin and I start to have a normal conversation , telling jokes and laughing with each other.
"Ahaha eh really? Hyun Jin really got so nervous when a girl confessed to him?"
"You should have seen him. His face looked as if it was about to burst and he started to stammer while thinking of a way to kindly refuse her. It was so damn funny ahahah"
"Hahaha talking about him, he's currently glaring at you"
Damn. He really is glaring at me with a look that says if I dont help him calm everyone down hes going to make me pay. Sigh just when it was going good with Dal Rin too.
"Hey Dal Rin I'll be right back after helping him out"
"Haha alright see ya soon~"
She tilts her head and smiles while waving at me. Damn, shes way too cute. I need to do this quickly and go back to her.
I immediately go to the center of the hall and quickly chant a magic to amplify my voice before I yell
"JUST HOW LONG ARE YOU ALL GOING TO ARGUE FOR?! HAA?! YOU GUYS BEEN ARGUING SO LOUDLY AND FOR SO LONG I BET THE DEMONS HAVE HEARD US AND ARE ALREADY ALMOST HERE WITH A HUGE ARMY TO ATTACK US!! SO EVERYONE SHUT UP AND TAKE YOUR SEAT"
Everyone looks at me with a stunned face while slowly taking a seat. Immediately afterwards as Hyun Jin is about to begin speaking, a loud horn rings out throughout the town.
Damn it, I hate when I'm right about stuff like this.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We arrived to the top of the gate to the view of black dots sprawled throughout the field in front of us that you can't even see any green. There has to be at least 50,000 demons here while totaling the escorts we only have about a 100. I furiously have a tug of war within my mind. I could bring out my summons and easily take out this army, but then everyone would notice I'm a mage, especially Hyun Jin who I had hidden it from all these years. The other choice was for when the battle begun to hastily take him and Dal Rin away from here. Of course they would be unhappy about this but I took their safety over all else. Now you must be curious why I added Dal Rin there but truthfully she had already become someone of great importance to me even though we haven't know each other for long. I already knew that if I let her die I would regret it for the rest of my life so I decided to save her also noatter what.

As I was having this struggle within me, Hyun Jin calmly watched the demon army approaching and gives out a command to all the commanders.
"Commanders, order all of your troops to group up at the entrance. When the demons have just about reached the town we will burst out and try to thread through their right flank, which has the least demons. We dont stand a chance if we try to defend this town with our 100 Soldiers. This town was never built to be a fortification. Our only chance is to charge through the enemy and flee to Gryphon Tower which has a large garrison there and solid fortifications. If you want to survive this, hurry and complete my task! Every second is important!!"
The commanders who had been arguing until just now all immediately go to gather all the Soldiers. Hyun Jin had immediately found out the only way to survive for some of them to survive and using his charisma had made everyone move. No wonder he had been summoned as the hero instead of me. *tear drops* my little boy has has grown up splendidly!
At the entrance, we see some Soldiers praying, some with a blank expression, and even some who had broken down and begun to cry. I really can't blame them, the chance for survival really was really close to 0. I go to the point position as I knew if I didnt Hyun Jin would out of his sense of duty as the commander. He looks at me with a worried face but I just return a smile and thumbs up and he starts to saddle up on the horse behind me. I will protect him at all cost, while I was thinking that I feel a presence beside me. As I turn my head I see Dal Rin has rode up the front with her horse.
"...!!Dal Rin! What are you doing up here you should be more towards the back!"
"If I have to die anyways, I will do so while leading my Soldiers from the front and taking as many demons with me as I can!"
What she said just now was really cool. But I am defintely not letting her die so I add on
"I understand, but please ride behind me with Hyun Jin. I will definitely protect both of you"
Dal Rin looks at me with moistened eyes and nods her head. Theres no more that needs to be said.
While we were having this conversation, Hyun Jin summoned Galahad.
"Oh great protector of the forest, ye majestic dragon appear beside me and protect me from my enemies!"
A roar is heard and suddenly Galahad appears. The Soldiers at first were shocked and hastily prepared to defend themselves but soon calmed down when they noticed him being friendly to Hyun Jin.
"Galahad, take this message to Goryeo and inform the king of the upcoming danger"
"But master!! I must stay by your side and defend you!!"
"No Galahad, your mission is the more important one. Besides , I got Lee Hyun protecting me so ill be fine. Now hurry, go!"
While looking hesitant, Galahad finally nods and takes flight toward Goryeo.
After Galahad left, I look at Hyun Jin to see if he's ready. He nods back to me when he suddenly yells "OPEN THE GATES!! CHAAAARGE!!!!"
I urge my horse forward first into a cantop but before long into a full sprint. Behind me I hear the thundering sound of hooves. We charge towards the right flank who roars back at us in defiance. The right flank of the enemy is made up of goblins, orcs, and trolls. As we are about to clash against them, I leap off my horse and begin my sword form.
"Moonlight Sword, 4th form, Meteor Falls!"
I immediately put my sword out in front of me and accelerate tremendoundsly. I become so fast that a blaze surrounds me as if I was speeding through the atmosphere. I blaze through the front of the enemy quite easily and start to open a huge trail for everyone to follow. At first it seems like we might just succeed as we are quickly cutting through the flank, but slowly I start to lose speed and the path I open becomes smaller and smaller. Some demons are starting to recover and pick us off one by one. I furiously try to pick my speed back up but it is fruitless. Suddenly right behind me I hear a scream.
"KYAAAAAH"
I immediately stop and look behind me. Dal Rin had been unseated from her horse and was slowly getting surrounded by the demons. The woman I now noticed that I loved was about to be killed. My mind immediately goes blank from the anger that begins to surge into me.
Forget it. Forget it all. I don't care if everyone finds out anymore. I will show you demons what a real demon looks like.
"OH DRAGON LORD OF HELL, HEAR MY PLEA. ALL AROUND ME IS DESPAIR AND I BEG TO THEE. THE ONE WHO COMMANDS THE FLAMES OF THE SEVEN SINS, APPEAR BESIDE ME AND BURN EVERYTHING TO ASHES WITH YOUR FLAMES OF PURGATORY!!LUCIFER!!

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
