Inhaling the chilly air that made me feel nostalgic about my hideout in the lushing woods far south at the forbidden forest of Cravewoods. Everyone in my former guild hated the idea of placing the hideout in the woods with the insects crawling arounds as they made ugly noises. I did to, but I couldn't resist the smell of the pleasant nature, not only that, it was also the reason why no one found our notorious guild. Since no one would have guessed to search a hidden gate under a stump that usually had insects crawling around… Other than my mother who I gave the information to…
With each step we made, a footprint was made on the snowy road to our destination. I listened to my surroundings of the beautiful chippering birds as the snow gently fell from the trees, Douglas my partner started to chat with me.
“So… We need to cut down at least 1500 trees and bring them back to the Winter’s Hold” He said as I listened beside him like a musketeer with my axe.
“Luckily, even as two men, we have at least the Winter Oxes to help us bring the lumber back”.
Sigh… Two people to cut down 1500 trees? You kidding me… What were the major or the monarch of the town thinking?

“Hey cheer up! With your strength, I bet you can chop the tree with one strike and be done with it!” He said as if he noticed my behaviour.
“Wait… Actually, we need to cut them to smaller pieces and cut of the branches…”

“Hahaha, I guess this would take a few mou….!” I quickly covered his mouth as I readied my axe that was resting on my shoulder.

Closing my eyes and listening closely to my surroundings, I tried to hear the abnormal sound in nature, “I can hear a rustling sound from a bush nearby” I whispered to Douglas who hid behind my back.

Sticking his head out, I noticed that it was one of the men who tried to sell weapons near the fountains. If I remember right, there was three of them, decorated in leather gear for around level 10.
Glancing around I asked “ Where is the other 2?”
“Eh, what... Do you mean? Think about your own life instead!” he desperately tried to avoid my question as he walked closer with his hand behind his back.

Glaring maliciously at the man at front of me, I slowly rose my overpowered axe above my head. He flinched and tried to back away, but it was too late, A heavy axe that needed a player with 36 Strength to carry, flew towards his back and instantly killed him.

Well, even with my new character, I still knew how to throw my weapons as a former rogue and against an noob player killer with his back towards me? DEATH! To them...

I went to my steel axe that was stuck on the dead body and took it out. Blood gushed out as I said “That’s because this” I kicked the body, “man is a player killer, he is wanted but hid himself with a illegal scroll that nullified the guards detection skill”
“However, how he got it at this low level, I have no idea”
“Aaah!” Douglas then clapped cheerfully like a kid of my discovery.
Interrupting Douglas as I cleaned the axe with my shirt, “Anyways, we are not safe. He has two more friends somewhere I believe” I said.
“Douglas, Loot the body, I keep guard”
“Uh… Okay…”
Ah, my innocent partner… “Don’t worry, give the items to me after and you wouldn’t have any guilt left” I assured him.

“I found a around 6 coins of gold, 60 Silver and 43 bronze!”
“And I took everything on the man!”
… Well, I guess the clothings will be useful to me… Sorry naked player killer at least let me borrow you at the cold snow. “Douglas, take the gold, I have no need for it”
“What?! This is a lot you know?! Enough to feed a family of 10 for at least 4 years!”
Heh, my plan worked… Now I can negotiate easier later…
Walking to the side of the road with a deep sized snow wall because no one usually walks there. I tried to brush away the snow to borrow the corpse, but then noticed something that my low skilled awareness wouldn't detect automatically for me.

“Let me loot this person also!” He cheerfully galloped to the dead corpse nearby that dyed the snow in red. I think he is getting addicted to this...
Poking my nose, I went toward my steel axe on the body next to Douglas and cleaned it once again.
Looking around I couldn’t find any clues about the last guy… I wept … Maliciously inside of me.
“Oi, last guy! Come out if you want to survive, I will spare you or I will end you like your petty little friends”
