CHAPTER 7: WHAT THE FUCK?
__Two days ago__
After killing the first hunting team that the goblins sent out. They had hunted a few more common monsters before calling it a day.
Back at the camp, Titus and Hikivi continued trying to create the new skill.
“Whew, it’s done.”
Titus said as he shot a mana bullet at the tree at the edges of the camp, leaving a shallow hole in it.
“Hmm. But what if we do…. this.”
Hikivi said as he shot a mana bullet at another tree. His mana bullet disappeared after hitting the tree, leaving a hole that was much deeper than the one from Titus’s mana bullet. “What, how did you do that?” Titus’ asked in confusion as he went forward and observed the two trees.
“Hehe, I just decided to add some spin to the bullet before firing it.” Hikivi said proudly.
“Oooh good thinking.”
Titus said as he shot another bullet, making the bullet rotate in the air before shooting it out this time. They discovered that the mana bullets became much more deadly after adding some spin to it.
[Congratulations, you have created a skill. Would you like to name it? Yes/No]
A line of texts suddenly appeared in front of them, and they didn’t hesitate to click ‘yes’. After naming the skill, the skill was immediately added to their skill list.
SKILL: (1) [MANA BULLET] (Level 1)
DESCRIPTION: GATHERS AND COMPRESSES MANA TO FORM BULLETS. THE LETHALITY CHANGES ACCORDINGLY
MP COST: 40 POINTS PER BULLET.
“Well I guess that takes care of the low damage issue as well. How about creating a skill with higher damage this time?” Titus asked.”
Yeah, let’s use the same concept we used to create the mana bullets.” Hikivi agreed. The two then continued brainstorming as they thought of new skills.
**Present time**
Yimso led the group into cave wielding a shield and a short sword. His usual weapon was too big to be used inside the cave and it would not be useful and would hinder their progress instead.
The number of goblins was several times more than the number of wolves there were in the wolf den, but the goblins were weaker in almost every way to a wolf of the same level when you compared their stats.
This is one of the reasons why they were confident in taking so many goblins. But in a narrow cave like this, the goblins would have the advantage of terrain, with their small builds.
Cautiously making their way into the cave, they made sure they weren’t ambushed. A few minutes into the cave, they came across two goblins.
They immediately stopped and observed. Seeing as they were alone, Hikivi and Titus lifted their arms, their palms pointing towards the two goblins.
Swoosh
Two arrows formed above them and shot towards the two unsuspecting goblins and piercing them in the head, killing them. This was another skill they had come up with in the last two days. The ‘Mana Arrows’.
SKILL: (1) [MANA ARROW] (1)
DESCRIPTION: COMPRESSES MANA TO FORM ARROWS AND SHOOTS IT TOWARDS THE TARGET.
CASTING TIME: 1 SECOND
MP COST: 100
“Good work. Now let’s go.” Yimso said and they continued moving on. Around 10 minutes later, they came across another group of goblins. There were 3 of them here in this group. They waited for a moment and killed two with mana arrows while the last one was stabbed in the chest by puvi.

This went on for around half an hour, and they had killed 11 goblins successfully without alerting the others. The cave started to become more spacious the further they went in. It was then that they encountered a group of 4 goblins.
Two were killed by mana arrows but the other two screamed loudly before they could be killed. This alerted some nearby goblins and they had come to check out the situation. The four of them were soon facing well over a dozen goblins wielding crude weapons. Some of them were even wearing worn out armour.
The equipment had probably come from adventurers that they had either killed, or had been found elsewhere as the goblins couldn’t have made them themselves.
“Welp, looks like the found us.” Puvi shrugged.
“There’s no going back now that we’ve come this far though.” They all took out some a small fire bomb each.
“Tito, light em up.” Yimso said. Titus snapped his fingers, lighting up 4 fire bombs. They all then hurled the bombs over the group of goblins.
*Boom*
The bombs exploded in mid air, showering them in ‘rain of fire’.
“Aaaak!!”
The screams of the goblins filled the cave alerting all the other goblins inside the cave. A minute later, the screams ended and the cave was filled with silence.
“Did you guys level up?” Puvi asked while he opened up his status. “Yeah.” They had all levelled up after killing these goblins.
Yimso increased his strength and vitality stats by 1 each, Puvi added them to agility and dexterity and the two mages both decided to increase their vitality by 2.
As they went deeper, the size of the tunnel increased too and after a while it became wide enough for Yimso to wield his main weapon again.
“Let’s continue.”
Yimso said after they had allocated their points. After collecting the crystals from the goblins’ bodies, they made their way in further into the cave. They didn’t encounter and other goblins so the picked up their pace.
After a few minutes of walking, they came across a room on the side of the tunnel, from which they heard some sounds.
*Grunt, Grunt*
They heard some low grunting coming from the room.
“There are some sounds coming from that room, let’s check it out.”
Yimso said and they all quietly made their way towards the room. Hikivi and Titus readied their mana arrows, ready to shoot them out at a moment’s notice. “Huk!!” After looking into the cave, they all froze.
There was a stunned expression on each of their faces as they had never expected to see the scene in front of them. They slowly pulled back heads, and looked at each other.
“….What the fuck?” Yimso exclaimed rubbed his eyes.
Their lips twitched recalling the scene in the room.
Inside the room, there were a total of 6 goblins. They were currently…. copulating. The four of them hadn’t expected to come across a goblin orgy.
They had thought that all the goblins would had been alerted and gathered after discovering the intruders. Who would’ve thought that they would find something like this here? These goblins must have been too absorbed in their current work to hear the commotion outside.

Outside the room, the party discussed for a moment and decided to act immediately. Titus and Hikivi shot out two mana arrows, impaling two goblins along with partners, while Yimso pulled out his broadsword and impaled the last two into the ground.
After they collected the loot, they continued walking into the cave while chuckling. Their topic of course, being the group of goblins they had just slain.
After 10 more minutes of walking, they saw a big door in front of them. The door was made of wood, and looked old and worn out. A green, humanoid monster was guarding the door. The monster looked similar to a goblin but there was one big difference; it was twice as tall as the goblins they encountered before.
It was a hobgoblin, a humanoid monster that evolved from a goblin, but was more intelligent as compared to goblins and known for its high vitality and strength.
Many monsters, after fulfilling certain conditions, could evolve into stronger creatures in this way.
The hobgoblin was over 6 feet in height at around 190 cm, which was roughly the same as Yimso. The hobgoblin guarding the door in front of them was brawny and standing topless as he guarded the door.
Seeing the hobgoblin, Yimso raised his brows.
“HAA!” *Clink*
Yimso stabbed his sword into the ground and left his tower shield behind as well, walking up to the hob barehanded as he smirked at it challengingly.
Puvi as the others rolled his eyes at his actions.
Yimso then stretched his body and walked towards the monster, stopping only a meter away from it, he grinned at the hobgoblin as tall as him and suddenly threw a punch at it while the hobgoblin was still sizing him up. The punch hit the hobgoblin in the face, breaking its nose and sending it staggering back.
After recovering, it punched at Yimso as well, who crosses his arms in front of his chest to block.
“HAA!” After successfully blocking the punch, Yimso yelled and sent another punch at the hobgoblin. This time, the hobgoblin was able to block the punch, but Yimso swiped the hobgoblin off his feet with a kick and made it fall on its back.
Yimso then mounted the hobgoblin and repeatedly punched it in the face as the hobgoblin tried its best to defend.
“ROAR!”
After taking several blows, the hobgoblin roared as he struggled wildly and shook Yimso off of him. It then clumsily pushed himself up and roared at Yimso again, its face bloodied and eyes turning bloodshot.
Yimso smiled at the hobgoblin and charged straight at it with his head lowered and arms spread out.
“HAA!”
He ducked to dodge a blow from the hobgoblin shot himself up to give it an uppercut.
His fist hit it right in the jaws and sent sent it staggering back once more. And the hobgoblin was shaking, trying to get rid of the dizziness.
But how could Yimso give it the chance? Yimso charged forward, grabbed the hobgoblin from the waist and lifted it up. He then continued rushing forward and slammed into the wall with the hobgoblin’s body. The force of the collision made the cave walls tremble.
The hobgoblin vomited blood, as Yimso had shoved his shoulders into its abdomen during collision and probably damaged its organs from the blow.
“Haah…”
Yimso exhaled and moved back and looked his opponent struggled itself up with the support of the walls.
Without mercy, he went and stomped heavily on its head. He then grabbed the hobgoblins head despite its struggles, and slammed it on the walls repeatedly and that side of the wall was painted red with blood soon.
*Bam, bam, bam, bam*
The sound of the hobgoblin’s head being slammed against the wall echoed in the surroundings.
At first, the hobgoblin still struggled and roared wildly as it tried to break free of Yimso’s hold, having a high level of vitality. But soon its struggles weaker and weaker as its body soon went limp altogether.
“Whew, that was pretty refreshing.”
The hobgoblin just now had slightly higher strength than Yimso, but had still lost as it didn’t know how to fight, with no other fighting technique or experience other than wrestling with its own kind
.
Yimso walked back to the others as he grinned while wiping away the blood on him.
“Yeah, yeah, let’s get going now.” Hikivi said as he rolled his eyes at him.
After Titus casted a healing spell on Yimso, he picked up his equipment and they all walked to the 3 meter tall door. They pushed it open and looked into the room.
The room was very big, almost a hundred metres in diameter and 15 meters high according to estimation. There were torches placed on several places that provided light here.
At the other end of the room, there was a stone platform with a seat made with stone on it. Seated on it was a goblin wearing a mantle made of animal skin, a wolf skull on its head and on its hand was a staff with a skull on top. He was taller than a normal goblin but still much shorter than the hobgoblins.
On either sides of him was a hobgoblin wielding swords. They were shorter and less bulky and slightly shorter than the one guarding the door earlier; clearly going for agility. And below the stone platform were around 40 goblins with crude weapons gathered.
“Shit, there are more of these bastards than we thought.” Puvi cursed as his face turned grim.
“So, you getting cold feet yet?” Yimso asked as he looked at his party member. They all grinned at him, especially Hikivi, as he pulled out four iron balls.
“Of course not.” Yimso gave a smirk and replied to himself and smiled, turning to the goblins again.
They each held a large fire bomb and threw it at above the goblins.
The goblins didn’t move though. None of them knew what they were as the goblins that had seen what the bomb did had all died.
*BOOM*
The bombs exploded.
Note: Yeah, there are female goblins in here.
