Having waited a good hour the group of people watch as the last of the smoke floats away into the sky and the sounds of goblin feet come a marching. Lucca asks the giant to help him with something and the giant complies holding Bö away from the peep holes they had left in the stone for air and to be able to see what follows.

Lucca knew that Nebel had a recent history of horribly vicious and visually grotesque traps and she didn’t really like the idea of her little sister (cute cousin) watching… whatever the hell the trap was going to do.

The giant didn’t say a word, just like he hadn’t for the whole time he had been with them… but he delivers and holds her near the back of the room as the rest watch the first goblins step into the trap.

The trap activates when the lead goblin steps over a stone laid directly into the ground and the timers start their count down, about just enough time passes for the goblins, which were actually running, to reach nearly the other side of the trap before it activates.

The magnets Nebel had attached to the walls of the cliff and hill on the other side normally being simple yet strong ferromagnetic magnets have their fields manipulated and strengthened by vectors, and since magnetism was essentially a field of vectors the effect was like dumping gasoline on a fire.

The goblins who were carrying metal… so all of them… were lifted off their feet by the magnetic fields that were now as strong as a crane magnet lifting a robot in a film. The ones wearing just leather were the lucky ones, they got pulled to one side or the other and most of their metal came with them, the metal than stuck to the magnets and the goblin usually fell screaming into the ravine below, since most of their metal was in their weapons which were in their hands at the time…

On the other hand the heavies clothed in metal armor were mostly torn limb from limb as the different parts of their armor were pulled in different directions after the last goblin in the group had passed the first rock, which had a timer to make certain of it, the trap was reset. A second set of magnets were activated and the metal was dropped into a large bowl made of stone that Bö had made, the few goblins that had managed to hold on to their weapons were also dropped here but that didn’t really matter since after a vector sweeps the ground of the trap into the ravine clearing it of body parts, bodily fluids and some goblins that lost their grips on their weapons instead of flying around, the metal in the bowl starts to be heated up by the power gathered at the top of the cliff…

The goblins after only a few minutes started to cry in anguish as their skin blistered and peeled. Lucca plugs Bö’s ears and looks away herself as the goblins are slowly cooked to death as the metal slowly climbs towards its melting point.

Rosa having stopped watching half way through is sitting with a pale face in one corner, Mitchell is puking having watched the goblins be torn apart, Nebel is frowning as he watches the goblins burn and the Latino giant even winces as he looks out the peep holes after getting curious from every ones reactions.

The screams continue for a while and Nebel steps out of the hiding place once they stop. Heading towards the bowl, the group sees some of the weaker metal in the bowl already melting, running through a small hole and into a bunch of molds.

The trap was actually making ingots out of their weapons and armor…

The quality was low being mixed, charred body parts included and all but that could be fixed later and other than being horrible to watch… the trap was a success!

It even blocked the groove when the ingots were full and removed them when they cooled, dumping them to one side. The groove would then open again and again.

Nebel had placed enough pre filled batteries to last a full twenty four hours if it was necessary and the solar panels were more than enough to refill them and keep it running at full capacity.

As part of an unspoken agreement, the whole group, including Nebel gets the hell away from there before the next group comes along…

Heading out of the pass with their faces either green or white, Nebel informs the soldiers left to monitor the area that the trap is now fully functional and to tell him if there are any changes before leading everyone back towards the city.

Outside of the forest Bö waves good bye to Nebel and the rest and her mysterious giant “servant” walks towards the west with her on his shoulder. Nebel continues across the plains towards the city along with Lucca, Mitchell and Rosa.

Arriving at the out skirts they travel to the district where the adventurer’s office was in, walking along the way Lucca says. “I will return if you require my aid, of heir to glory.”

Nebel hits yes and Lucca takes off by jumping onto the roof of a nearby building and running/ jumping diagonally away from them...

When they reach the adventurer’s office, Mitchell peels off in the direction of the square and its stores also posting a PCC request which he also accepts and Rosa walks into the official door to give her own report.

Walking through the door, Nebel steps up to the counter and informs them of the traps completion. “I’m Nebel” He says to the attendant who he hasn’t met before. “I’m here to say my trap is done… the northern pass is blocked and I’m going to spend a while training in the academy.”

The man types the info into a display after nodding to his words and asks him to place his thumb against a screen. The deed done Nebel thanks the man and leaves the office.

The first day---

Nebel enrolls in various classes that he will take over the next week the first one being cold magic he studies with Rosa who hits on him repeatedly while giving him the knowledge.

To the west of the academy Bö accompanied by her new friend follows Nayder’s men around as they battle the orcs, she helps them out a few times by raising walls to block enemy advances and such but usually just leaves it to them while writing, singing, drawing and playing pranks.

Mitchell visits Nebel after checking out a few stores and shows off the new clothes she had gotten.

Lucca heads east and crosses the northeastern frontier to meet up with Maximus.

Synthia spends the whole day in various soldier’s tents, having nothing to do and no one to kill at the moment.

Alan leads his army towards the eastern frontier.

And most of the general players do the same.

Day two---

Nebel practices in the dojo, learning various different skills and forms for each of them before getting kicked out again when his time runs out.

Rosa while organizing files watches Nebel from a window of the library as he practices with his shirt off.

Bö leaves the Northwestern frontier and heads to the eastern one to continue… whatever the hell she does…

Mitchell gets a job to clear out a few caves in the forest that were full of goblins and leaves for the first one after buying supplies.

Lucca reaches the ruined city and heads in to find Maximus holed up in a police station.

Synthia heads east after hearing that those lands are volcanic…

Alan already half way to the eastern frontier… since armies move slowly… continues to march.

The general gamers join Alan’s army in its slow walk.

Day three---

Nebel studies compound spells with Steven and almost decides to throttle the guy while being taught.

Rosa spends a boring day locked in the library, waiting for Nebel to leave again.

Bo reaches the eastern frontier ahead of the rest of the player’s and together with her friend scales a mountain to get into the next lands.

Mitchell reaches the first of the caves and clears it out while practicing with a whip she bought.

Lucca spends the day in the police station helping Maximus reinforce it and stock it with available supplies.

Synthia reaches the eastern frontier and starts to scale the mountain. Not the pass side, the volcanic part…

Alan, his army and the general group of players reach the eastern frontier and slowly prepare to break through the blocked pass.

Day four---

Nebel studies material manipulation magic with an elderly man that talks glacially.

Rosa joins in on Nebel’s class and learns earth magic too.

Bo encounters the new enemies first of all the players and swiftly retreats afterwards, having almost lost something precious.

Mitchell proceeds to the second cave and kills all of the goblins by beating them with a board spiked like a bed of nails… it takes a while…

Lucca and Maximus head out and raid a superstore that was virtually un touched thanks to anti vermin permanent spells…

Synthia reaches the top of the mountain and…

Alan sends a message asking for explosives from the council and they oblige by sending them to him.

Some of the players scale the mountain, most of those re-spawn at the laboratory where they started a few hours later, with aches where ever the last blow was dealt… along with different affects based on their classes.

Day FIVE

As they are signing in Nebel, Bö, Mitchell, Lucca, Maya, Maria, Synthia, Maximus, Alan, Nayder and all the rest of the players receive a system message before they are allowed to enter CAIFELIT.

Every player that logged in that day appeared as a small explosion of confetti, along with what appeared to be the contents of either an adult or child’s piñata, a piece of cake and some balloons…

Most of the characters were to shocked to find this funny… that was only a tutorial?

I'm think about actually taking the time skip out... the ideas i came up with from think about what to add to the "montage" are pretty good and i think it would be a waste. if i do pull it out i'll make sure to actually use some more things happening as well so you all don't feel peeved that it's already been given away...

hope you like the trap... the evil me likes it... i might have to refine the idea of it though...
