《Just For Fun》Chapter 16: Their Classes (the game kind not the real kind)

“Hey Nebel! Over here!” Synthia was calling out to him but he ignored her and tried to leave.
“God damnit Nebel get over here!” She calls out
“Don’t want to!” Nebel replies and tries to leave but to different sized hands grab him and drag him to one side of the garden path that had the unmarked black hovering vehicles at the end of it.
“Don’t be stupid professor! We just want to talk!” the gruff voice of everyone’s favorite mental patient says before helping the nympho drag him over to a small shade tree… Underground…
“Bö my dear you can come too.” Synthia says towards Bö who had been standing in the middle of the pathway watching the two drag Nebel off. Bö smiles and chases after them.
“Hey Nebel we wanted to know if you had come to the same conclusion as us.” Maximus says to him
“About what!?” Nebel says pretending to be oblivious.
“Why we all were chosen.” Synthia says to him rolling her eyes.
“Oh that, it should be obvious to anyone. We are some of our worlds thinkers, we ask questions and give our opinions which proves we’re from families that taught us to do so or that we are super geniuses product of mutation that managed to climb above the rest of our family.” Nebel says while they listen.
“Exactly Professor. This is the reason I call him the professor, Synthia.” Maximus says partially to Nebel patially to Synthia.
Bö holds up her hand. “Oh so cute!” Synthia says
“or that we were tipped off, right?” Bö asks
“Oh honey that’s impossible the puppet made this game personally, the system of our world prevents that from being possible you should know that. What are you eight, nine?”
“I’m eleven!” Bö says with a smile “How would the system stop someone?”
“I’m sorry dear, I can’t tell a little girl something like that. Wait until your older, just know that it’s impossible espionage against the maker is impossible.” Synthia tells her.
“Trust us girly you don’t want to now.” Maximus adds “Anyway, they seem to have separated everyone by classes based on personal tendencies and level of curiosity.”
“I’ve seen three classes so far.” Nebel says “Player, Aggressor and Hero.”
“That poor guy… rated as a player… so sad…” Synthia starts crying “I know Chris is an idiot but I hoped you had rubbed off on him a bit more.”
“Synthia no need to cry, tons of people will be that class even though it’s the bottom one, the maker had me come up with that part of the system, I wanted it to be moron but he said that was just mean since they are actually closer average, in the end we just came up with that one as a compromise.” Maximus says patting her back. “More worrying is the aggressor, mike right? It’s not a happy personality he must have ruined the waiting room.”
“What’s the difference between the classes?” Bö asks “I haven’t seen anyone else’s class.”
“It basically a difficulty setting but it’s a little more than that.” Synthia starts explaining “Hero’s are exactly like the denizens of this world, we have to manually learn abilities but other than our talents we probably have nearly no limitations on our growth, Player’s play this game as if it was any basic vrmmorpg they level, get equipment and learn techniques, it set likes this because the system has determined that they either won’t understand or won’t try to figure out any complicated settings. Everything in between seems to have a class that fits the personality of the player, limiting features they naturally will ignore and boosting abilities they excel at and love.”

“Well this is very interesting but I kind of have a pass to nearly single handedly defend.” Nebel tries to walk away and is once again grabbed but this time by three hands… one isn’t where it should be… “hey Synthia stop! Not in front of Bö.” One hand is removed but the small hand on his and the large one on his shoulder pull him back.
“Wow there boy, we’re going with you!” Maximus says flooding Nebel with dread.
“Yeah we’re the only ones that aren’t stuck at the front lines.” Synthia says “and I’m not letting up the chance to see thistrap I’ve heard so much about!”
“Brother I want to come too!” Bö says with tears at the corner of her eyes “I can do my new job on the road, the nice woman showed me how!”
“I’ve got a bad feeling about this…” Nebel thought before agreeing.
It was a bad idea! A few minutes later Maximus using Nebel had convinced a pair of pilots to drop them at the forests entrance do to the need for Nebel to reach his trap as soon as possible. The pilots had agreed and flew them in a small plane towards the forest.
Nebel was ready this time, due to the last hellish experience he had with Maximus he had totally gotten over his phobia and had even gained a few skills… but he still didn’t want to hang around with him ever again.
As Nebel put on what he was told was a new type of parachute, Bö was being told by an expert in this new type of chute what to expect, while also getting it put on her by Maximus and Synthia who was already done with hers was checking her makeup… for some unfathomable reason.
“Hey Nebel, how do I look?” Synthia asks him after sitting down on his lap. She starts bouncing.
“That’s a little inappropriate Synthia and you look good! Can you get up now?” Nebel tells her.
Synthia gets off of his lap and walks over to the parachute expert, who had finished with Bö, to chat him up.
“Hermano! Look at me! How do you like my outfit?” Bö says in her usually dual language way.
“Like a kitsune from Japan wearing a strange backpack.”
“Yeah, that’s what I was going for!” Bö smiles jumps up into Nebel’s lap and gives him a kiss on his check. “Keep being my brother, Nebel!”
“Yeah…” she reminded him…
Well the center on the city and its airport wasn’t that far from the forest so Nebel and co were told to jump after only a few minutes. The light turned on and Maximus points out the door. “Now’s the point, let’s go everyone! Nice and quick we don’t want to land in a tree.” After which he jumps out the open door.
Nebel grabs Bö and jumps out. When they’re clear of the plane, Nebel starts to hold her by only the finger tips as they had been told to do. Synthia soon joins them and grabs one of both of their hands.
“WHERE’S MAXIMUS?” Synthia shouts
“HE’S THAT THING DOWN THERE!” Nebel shouts back.
Below them Maximus is doing aerial stunts for some reason… well he was getting pretty close to the ground now… the expert had told them that the chute would self deploy…

As they got lower Nebel saw that they were catching up to Maximus, but that his chute still wasn’t open.
That’s strange… a minute later he finally noticed what was happening, their chutes were active the whole time! They were permanent vector spells! The parachutes were slowing them down as they got closer to the ground.
As Nebel reached the ground in a smooth descent that nearly completely stopped as he reached the ground he saw that Maximus was already talking to a group of people.
Synthia and Bö were still holding his hands and Synthia started dragging him over while Bö who had let go of Synthia was just skipping along beside Nebel.
“Hey Nebel we got took your quest!” Maria says walking out to meet them “We’ve got about five others including Maya… I know she’s around here somewhere…” Maria looks around “Seriously I was just talking to her!”
Nebel could see her peaking from behind a tree… “She’s there behind that tree… I guess she won’t be very useful right now…”
Nebel walks to the rag tag group of people that were all the reinforcements he had. “Who in this group took the ice magic class?” two people raised their hands. “Good. Are there any fire mages?” Nebel gets a tap on his shoulder “yo! I’m a fire mage” Maria says with a thumb to her chest.
“Ok when we get there I want you three to join up with Synthia here and rapidly heat and then cool the enemies’ armor.”
“Ok.” the three of them walk away with Synthia to talk shop. “Does anyone carry a war hammer or any other such weapon?” one heavy set guy raises his hand. “Ok after they are done cooling the enemies’ armor I want you to hit it as hard as you can. A guy already waiting at the pass will also be doing so.”
“The rest of you along with me will distract the enemy as much as we can and keep them busy while the job is done, afterwards we will finish them.”
Nebel waves to get the attention of the rest of his group and they leads them through the forest, along the way he shows them what happens with his tactic on a cheap dagger and amazes a few of the group members with his parlor trick.
When they arrived at the pass which was pretty quick thanks to the way lower number of goblins in the forest, waiting for them was Mitchell, Luke a few soldiers that looked very worried and a pile of gore, weapons and armor.
“Hello heir to glory, we collected the ears, weapons and armor while you were away.” Luke says in his usually monotone.
“We missed you, Nebel-sama.” Mitchell says with a bow.
Bö runs up to Mitchell who bends down and gives her a hug. “Hi Bö, have you been having fun?”
Bö starts telling Mitchell all about the things she had been doing while Nebel stores the ears in a bag and hides them in a crack in the cliffs.
One of the soldiers runs up to Nebel as he’s attempting to shove the armor into the crack as well. “Greetings sir Nebel, I’m amazed by your handy work… but I was wondering… what’s the plan for the corpses?”
The soldier points and Nebel follows his gaze to the already completely filled ditch that he had been tossing them into… “Umm burn them?” Nebel says
Synthia who it appears had been listening runs to the pile laughing her head off with a dark laugh…
BOOOM!
“HEY SYNTHIA!!! That’s not a fire it’s an explosion!!!!” Nebel runs over to Synthia in an attempt to stop her from burning down the forest.
BOOM! Swoosh!
The second explosion sends a singed Synthia flying through the air and onto Nebel.
The collapse on the ground and groaning Nebel tries to push her off but has to peel her hands off of his nether regions first… “Damn nympho, even knocked out…” Nebel mutters to himself before seeing her smile.
Maximus walks over ogling Synthia’s state of partial dress thanks to her partially burnt clothing. “Soooo, Professor, when does the mission begin?”
“Just before night fall.” He says as everyone watches a group of charging goblins fly down the cliff. “It’s then that the trap won’t work...”
The group watches as Mitchell runs with a knife to the still twitching goblins to take their ears and at Luke already taking their armor off. Bö comes over and looks up at Nebel. “Hey brother, some just told me that you can only choose one magic for free at the training center.”
Nebel looks down already suspecting what she is about to tell him. “That’s usually how it is why?”
Bö grabs her fake tall in both hands “I asked if I could choose just magics and the strange guy that loved smiling, that was there when I appeared let me… he said he was surprised no one else had.”
“That’s great Bö! But what about weapon training and movement training?”
“I didn’t have any and I don’t have a weapon… but I did get to play around with three elements!” she makes a stance as if shooting a basket ball in a pass to another player. “I am the lady of Heat, Cold and Earth! I practiced by pranking the library’s receptionist! It was pretty fun but I haven’t gotten a chance to practice since then, can you give me tips?” Bö asks while cutely play with her fake tail and peering over it a Nebel
“Sure I’ll help.” Nebel spends the last half an hour before dusk helping Bö practice her magic.
this one was written just after finishing the other i'm pretty tired so i can't guarantee full quality but other than the beginning its all just the crazies acting out so it should be fine.
