《Heart Cores have hobbies (HIATUS)》Chapter 18

The bearman was guided by Robur to the heartcore room, on this room, there was also 8 of my goblins who stood guard just in the precaution of the level 9 bear going rogue.
The bearman stood below the altar, gazing upon the monstrous eye.
"You are their leader?" The bear was amazed, but he did not seem surprised. "You are a Chaos Lord?"
The eye looked straight at the bear.
(What is he talking about?)
"Chaos Lord?"
"It's what we call your race!" The bearmen informed me. "Your kind is very rare, and theres limited knowledge about you..."
"Have you seen one of us before?"
The bearmen denied with his head. "No, but one of my ancestors was once a follower of a Chaos Lord."
"Oh? Wich one?"
"The most famous Chaos Lord, Black! He once controlled the entire North of this continent!"
(Black? If I recall, Blue told me that there were two others called brown and green, but he didn't mention Black!)
"You know what happened to him?" I inquired the beard.
"He was defeated by an alliance of empires and kingdoms!" (Bearman)
(Interesting, but..)
"You mentioned that you had a request?"
The white bearman smiled.
"Yes, I request your help!" (Bearman)
"Your help? In what?"
"Weeks ago..." The bearman looked down to his feet. "I lived happily on my village, and I had a healthy daughter, a wonderful wife, my wise parents and my older brother..."
Them the bear rose his head to face my eye. "But one day, they came!"
"They?"
"A human mercenary group from Morfir. They entered my village while I was away hunting for meat, when I came back, my family was slaughtered as my old brother was the village elder and refused to surrender! Regarding the rest of my kind, most were also killed, but some were captured!"
The Bearmen paused before continuing.
"I tried to track down the mercs up to the Morfir citadel, only to lose them a few days later.
Finally I used all the gold that I had to buy info from an Intelligence Guild, to only discover that the mercs were not from Morfir land!

They actually work for a rich noble from the Donnhe kingdom!"
(Why am I getting a feeling of Dejavu?)
"Let me guess, after learning that, you travelled for that kingdom, only to get captured along the way?"
"Y-yeah..." The bearmen sighed.
"So the request is?"
The bear looked down on this foot again. "Well... Chaos Lords normaly have power to crush countries... Could... Could you kill everyone involved in my village's slaughter, and if possible, give freedom to those who were captured?"
(Pink skins, Brown wolves, Maktraka clan, Eastern Horde and now I have to add a rich noble who certainly owns an army and probably has alot of friends in that kingdom?)
"I don't mind it... But what do I get in return?"
The bear gazed at me and screamed. "You can have me!"
With no control, I immediately spat out my words.
"I DO NOT SWING THAT WAY!"
(I don't, do I?)
The bearmen was confused at my words until he understood what I meant.
"N-Not that! I meant... I will be one your followers! One of your bodyguards! Or if you wish, I will take the frontlines and die for you!"
A Bear Beastman wishes to become your minion, accepting him will consumed 100 mana!
Will you accept?
Yes? No?
"I ACCEPT YOU!" I roared inside the HeartCore room.
Bear Beastman has been added to minion tab!
A fire spirit left my eye, going towards the white Bearman, evolving him in a fire tornado.
As he dropped on his feet and his claws scratched the floor, a tribal 8 black tattoo burned on his left shoulder.
Bearman has reached lvl10! Bearman has unlocked racial skill - War Bear Form
"Thank you for your blessing, Master!"
Just after his words, I threw my question. (Tell me, what is War Bear Form?)
"You know of our unique power?"
(Just the name...)
"Master! Then I will explain everything I know!" The Bearman coughed before continuing."War Bear Form is a unique power that only the higher warriors of the Beastmen Bear tribes can have, it enlarges our bodies greatly into a monstrous fighting form as a WarBear."

(Enlarge your body?)
"Yes! It least makes me grow twice my size! And I will also get much stronger in offence and defense as my muscles, claws and fur will be improved!"
(Can I see it now?)
"I am sorry, but I am still too weak to use it... Please give me some hours!"
(Very well, go rest now, let Robur guide you.)
The Bearman bowed his head and the goblins punched their chests before leaving the room.
(Let me check minion tab?)

Meanwhile at the sleeping chamber, a new bed spawned the moment the bearman entered this room, but this bed was different, while it was like the wolf beds, it was twice its size.
"Master, can you hear me?" Suddenly the Bearman spoke, calling my attention.
(Yes?)
"I have something for you!" The bearman informed me.
(What is it?)
"I will bring it to your room, master." With haste, the bear left the sleeping chamber, heading into the heartcore room and went up the stairs to the top of the altar.
"One second master!"
(Okay...)
The Bearman searched his pants, and from them, took out a roll of paper.
(What's that?)
"I got this from Morfir, it's a map!" The bear informed with pride as he opened and laid the map on the ground.
(A map?)
The map showed the pieces of land painted, all surrounded by sea with many names and pictures that confused me.

(Care to explain the map to me?)
"Of course master! But keep in mind that I don't have much detail on everything..."
Then the bear started to explain the land from the East.
From the East, there was the largest continent Meostria, on the NorthWest of it, stood the barren lands wich was mostly controlled by the Eastern Horde.
The Eastern Horde was a powerfull Horde comprised green skins and other beastial races, they were lead by a royal clan who was mainly located at their capital Grogragh, wich was a massive stronghold city.
To the North East, were the snowy lands of Morfir, this name was also given to its only major city on this land.
Morfir who initially started as a military camp by a company named Black Legion, was a city of outlaws, mercenaries and refugees, the former company was so strong that until this day, their families were still in charge, ruling the city with an iron fist.
To the East of the barren lands and south of Morfir snow lands, stood one of the twin neutral kingdoms, Donnhe, its sister kingdom was Gwonn.
These 2 kingdoms until today remained as allies as they were surrounded by threats from every side, and both had mostly a human population.
On the furthest NorthEast of the continent, was Katemo, kingdom of beastmen and demons, meanwhile to the west, stood a Beast city with a massive Port named Mirilan.
To the south of these lands, stood the Kirrum Empire, wich was lead by the royal Kirrum family in the capital of Kirrum and its two important City Ports, Brulm and Vulm.
In the south of this empire, there was another empire, the Elven Empire.
The second continent was named Agis and four massive islands stood between the two mentioned continents.
This map only mentioned the top important cities or strongholds and its current religion standing from the past decades.
Unfortunately, the Bearman did not know much about the rest of the world.
(You don't know anything else?)
"Master, the only thing that I could add, is that the Eastern Horde and the Donnhe kingdom started a war a few weeks ago..."

Mystic Nan
Note: Currently undergoing rewrite, we'll be back soon!(If you enjoy this story, it would help immensely if you considered voting for it at topwebfiction, thank you.) Nan Beauchamp, like many youths of the year 2000-something; will live, work, and die as less than a footnote of a footnote within the abridged history of unremarkable years. This suits her fine. Too bad about the truck that turned her into paste, then. Luckily, or unluckily, fate deigned to give the poor girl another chance to make something of herself in a bizarre universe brimming with magic, spaceships, and... giant talking spiders? This "second chance" seems less than ideal. (A web serial import from Wordpress)

A Different Kind of God
The city that never sleeps is one like no other. You could look at the wolves on Wallstreet trying to make a buck or you could look at the more fun things, the more supernatural things. There are all manner of these things in the underbelly of New York whether it be gods, demons, monsters, or even vampires. Now, where does Liam fit in? ... This is a Percy Jackson/Elderscrolls Fanfic I came up with in my free time. After writing 16 chapters I had some people DM me about co-posting it to different sites. Currently, I have it up over on Fanficiton.net and Spacebattles but as I saw this site allows fanfiction, and I use this site a lot, I decided to start posting it here as well. Feel free to enjoy it or hate it, I'm just writing to have some fun. If you're wanting to read it on either of those two sites I have the same name on both.

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
