《The Inventor of Magic》18: Little Sleep
Advertisement
I'm back, I'll try to stick to one chapter as always. However the lengths will be varying so keep that in mind. Anyway for now, enjoy! ^O^
(p.s. I apoligize in advance for how badly written this short chapter is. I had a small pause and now I just need to get back into it. ^_^)
>>>Zach POV
*Yaaaawn*
I yawned loudly as I stretched and stood up from my workbench.
"It's time to get some rest I think... I'll just deliver this in the afternoon. Therefore I'll get more time to work on it before the deadline.", with a plan formed in my mind I mindlessly shuffled towards my bedroom and slumped down upon the bed.
Ugh, time to rest... *snore* *snore*
...
---
5 minutes later.
---
*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*
"Shut up!", I roared loudly at the alarm clock hoping that my anger would forcefully silence it.
*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*
"Ugh fine!", as fast as a bullet from a gun my arm shot towards the alarm clock and proceeded to hotel it across the room. As the plug was forcefully yanked from its socket the alarm clock gave out one last pitiful *beep* before the LCD display flickered out and disappeared.
By now it was too late to try and get to sleep again even though I must not have slept long. That alarm tells me that I need to go to Silyan soon... Ugh.
Groggily I get out of bed and walk over to my bathroom whilst taking my clothes off. I haven't showered in two days and the oily scent from my work shop is not that pleasant.
After showering I walk over to my wardrobe where I plucked out some random clothes before chucking them on and leaving for Silyan.

Today I thought that I might as well use the silver wings, even though they're inferior to various other modes of transport at my disposal, as I know have a good alibi for using them. Lucy.
As soon as I had left the house and locked it up behind me I quickly shot off towards the prestigious academy.

Later that day in the Class A room.

>>>Miss Crow POV
"Now then, onto the next topic y-",
*BANG*
Shit! Huh, damn that scared me. It's him! Late. Again?!
"Sorry Miss, my alarm clock was broken.", Zach explained as he entered the classroom
*sigh* "Fine, find your seat.",
"Yes Miss.",
"Now, where was I?... Ah yes, I want everyone to bring their lists of chosen lesson to me with their names on.",
Quickly the students passed their slips of paper along to the front where I collected them all.
These have to go to the Vice-Headmistress so that she can sort these out and make sure that everyone has their places to go.
If you ask me its a waste of time. School life is so~ dull. Especially here. All these posh kids talking casually about things that poorer families would need to spend multiple years wages on. Although... I guess I shouldn't complain, I get my wages from this set up.
Oh! What's this? Three people have actually chosen Independant Research.
"Anyone who has chosen Independant Research will need to submit a written explanation of your Research and Goal and any resources or help you require from the school before handing it to me... Right, with that done you can all head to your first lesson. Dismissed!",
I went over to my chair in the corner as the students filed out from the room.
"Miss Crow.", a feminine voice called out to me as I had just sat down.

"Yes, Lucy?",
"We've already planned out our Individual Research. Here's the plans.",
Lucy passed across a stack of papers.
Already!
"Wait, we?",
"Yes? Zach and I.",
What! Lucy Improm with that kid. Ugh... I already feel that something bead's going to happen.
"Right, thanks. I'll pass it across. You'll be called when these get looked at.",
"Thank you Miss.",
Lucy energetically bounded out with a smile on her face and Zach followed.
Once I had followed the unusual pair out of the room with my eyes I turned towards the papers I was given.
"What!",
Amazing! No surprise she's the daughter of Improm Industries Boss with the amount of thinking that's gone into this. They haven't planned exactly what they're going to do first but everything else is already planned for...
But what is Zach going to do?
******
Again I apoligize for the length and quality of this one. I've just got back into writing them and I need to fall back into step.
Anyway, anyone who wanted to see a talented aspect of Zach will enjoy the next part! ^_-

Wraith Eminence-an evil dungeon core
What is evil? The destruction of life? The sacrifice of the many for the good of the one? The manipulation of others in persuit of your own goals? Many consider that to be evil others call it being a dungeon. Wraith is a dungeon who specializes in dark mana and undead creations, like all dungeons he wants to be the best at what he does and compete with the other dungeons around him inbetween baiting adventures by kidnapping the blacksmiths daughter, poisoning the town well, blackmailing the mayor all in the deliberate effort to bring adventures to his dungeon to kill them take a part of ther soul and all the mana in their body as well as their treasure. Is he evil, definetly, more evil than most dungeons, undeniably.
8 159Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.
8 90Hush | on hold
"Your name?"When I stayed silent, he repeated himself. "Your name?""Jeyri." I let out quietly."And last name?""Rae...""Jeyri Rae..." He crouched down next to me and moved the hair from in front of my face, "I dislike when things get difficult, I end up doing things I'd much rather not do. Do you want to know what happened to the last person who made things difficult for me, hmm?" He asked, leaning into me. Is he talking about me calling the cops? He pressed his gun against my head and frowned, "You get it don't you?"I nodded quickly. "Good... And if you tell anyone what you saw today, I'll know." He pressed his finger against my lips and smiled, "So hush."

8 262The Scars Inside Me | Poetry
In life, there are triumphs together with pain and sufferings. I've acknowledged that fact because of the scars, you've left, inside me.
