《The Inventor of Magic》8: A Step Outside (Very short chapter)

A very short chapter, even considering the rest of my chapters. I was very busy andwasn't going to write anything originally. There probably won't be another chapter this short again. I appreciate any feedback and ideas, enjoy! ^0^
Miss Crow lead us two outside and closed the door behind us.
"Calm down.", Miss Crow said to an obviously stressed Lucy.
"Nothing bad has happened, and nothing bad is going to happen. There is just a small issue which we must solve so I can inform the headmaster.",
"What's the issue.", Lucy responded readily.
"Well it seems that Zach here has beaten you're magic proficiency test score.", Miss Crow said bluntly as she had already gained control after her sudden surprise from earlier.
"What! How is that possible!", shouted Lucy, not in anger but purely in surprise. Afterall she herself should have been used to controlling mana the most out of all the new first years, in the exam itself she had put her full concentration in, to the extent of fainting from exhaustion.
Ignoring Lucy, Miss Crow continued. "As you know at Silyan the first year representative is the one who scores highest in the proficiency test, so...",
"I understand.", Lucy mumbled to herself sadly.
"Ummm, I don't want to be the representative.", I plainly said.
""What?"",
"Afterall, Lucy delivered such a wonderful speech. It would be a waste to make me the representative now.", and it's way too much effort on my part.
"Is this fine with you?", Miss Crow confirmed.
"Yes.",
"Okay then. By the way Zach here is your timetable, it seems it was filled in by the headmaster.",
Miss Crow passed me the piece of paper from before.
Filled in by David? Let's see here. Our Class was meant to have a practical lesson later right?...

What is this? Here it says 3rd year practice... Ugh, this is just going to be even more effort. What about the theoretical lessons? 1st year. At least that's fine
"Right get back to your seats.", Miss Crow finished.

What was that all about!? How was my test score beaten by that boy. Zach? I fainted getting a time of 2 minutes 26. How could he have beaten that? I must ask him as soon as possible. She glanced towards Zach with determination in her eyes.

No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
