《Superficial Story》Prologue & Epilogue

It’s difficult when you become a god too fast.
You just don’t know what to do.
But you know, just some time in, and you find your way.
In the end it took a while, but I managed to make a second planet on my Universe.
It was by the time when Jaur, Sophia and the other older gods had finished stablishing themselves at their own universes.
Marlick-san got me a nice deal on the Pantheon’s Bank and I got some extra energy to start things up.
Then it was time to make it effective.
By following Omniscience’s answers, I got to a system where I was able to make souls work their assess out and repaid the bank soon enough.
May I not say that it was a fucking load of bullcrap dealing with all of the paperwork, but switching between playing with the universes as if they were MMO’s and actually going on there and making the worlds spin was worth it.
Still, I feel like I have lost something in the way.
Would it have been better if I had let Louis win that day?
Looking at him now, he and Mia are still trapped within that dimension, barely a single level higher than they used to be. They won’t be cooperating to get out of there, not so soon.
I for sure would have cursed a lot more if i had obeyed silently.
I mean, I barely curse nowadays.
I just don’t feel so much anger anymore.
Then there’re my apostles.
Andarluz became a warrior demi-god of humankind. Hs ascension to Godhood should come in a few thousand years.
Seph, the kid, became a mass-murderer and is currently being re-habilitaded at one of my hells.
Damios became the first Pope of my church and stablished quite the empire together with Andarluz.

He wasn’t so adored to the point of becoming a demi-human, but I let him rule over a small realm for himself.
Ysh’er had quite the life, and in the end her, Meleya and Airjsmurh became known as the Three-Wives of the God.
Of course only Airjsmurh actually got a good fucking in the end, but all three ascended to demi-godhood due to all of the praise.
Yeah.
Things turned out great for me.
But I don’t know if they turned out different for others.
I mean, I may have changed some things, but I have been living a few lives as a regular human in my worlds and…
It’s just as bad as before!
Maybe I should change some other things.
Get a little wild again.
Or maybe I should just materialize a brand new Ferrari.
Vromm, Vromm!
==========================================================
Yep.
This is the end.
The tale of how a rebel became a middle-aged asshole.
Maybe someday another rebel will overthrow him.
Or maybe he will do something else, who knows. I have heard there is future beyond your middle-age crisis. Especially if you're immortal and eternally young.
What I do know is that this story has come to its end.
Thanks for all of those who have been reading, sorry if you found the ending rushed out, but, what can I say…
If you don’t want to end a story like all others, then maybe the ending will feel weird as fuck, right?!
Or at least that’s what I say to myself. I don’t really remember what was the point of writing this whole thing.
I guess it was just for the lulz. Or maybe to blow off some steam.
To my misery, it has been my most liked and well-received story so far.
A lesson for me, I would say.
Who knows. I fair better on the next one.
See you people around.
Thanks for reading, sorry for any inconveniences.
Have a good day.

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.
