《Superficial Story》Chapter 28 - I’m the Boss Now

So, everyone is really tiny here.
Since Louis’s system is still partially active, guys like Jaur are 400 times smaller than me.
I can’t even see his tiny act of rebellion against the High Court’s decision.
Actually, I can.
But it’s so fun to see how insignificant he looks like from here.
He.
Jackass.
But let’s start working.
There assholes now are mine to take care off.
“As you all know, now I’m God Emperor of this multiverse. And as my first act, I call forth a Divine Meeting so we can rearrange our positions and competencies. Also, fuck this hierarchy thing. Everyone should be roughly of the same size here.”
And like this our throne room became a little less absurd.
There Jaur, you’re almost my size now, are you happy?
[Answer]: Interference. Possible to overwrite with Emperor God’s authority. Overwrite?
No.
I’m a nice guy after all.
And don’t give two shits about this idiot is thinking.
“Everyone is free to speak.”
Silence.
Eh~~~
“No one wants to say anything? I’m putting all of my predecessor’s rules and limitations over you guys behind us now. No one will be punished for speaking.”
…
More silence.
The fuck is going on?
[Answer]: Interference. Possible to..
YES!
Overwrite this shit!
[Answer]: Every god keeps quiet for its own reasons. Here’s the list of reasons.
So.
Sophia, Ziphur and Sunni are mostly confused.
Amida is afraid.
Nina doesn’t know what to say to me now.
And Jaur is devoid of energy, thinking that the world is unfair.
Tsc.
Let’s do something to spice things up.
“I’m thinking about giving a new universe for each one of you guys.”
Amida raised an eyebrow.
Jaur is taken back.
Sophia is speechless.
[Ziphur] - Why?
“Nice of you to ask.”

Finally, someone broke the silence.
“The thing is, Louis had been using you all. I didn’t look too deep into your personal stories yet, but it’s sure that he was just using you guys as a way to keep getting levels faster. That’s not how things are supposed to be. You guys are supposed to help the pantheon to become better by spreading fantasy at the worlds under your dominion. Not to be cramped up in a single world.”
Jaur is making a very sour face.
What’s the deal with that?
[Answer]: God Jaur has very strong emotional and mental ties with the present world and its inhabitants. He’s offended that you treat it only as a job.
Tsc.
“Jaur, you may have created family and whatever in this world, but as a god your duty is to work for our pantheon. I can give you space to enjoy your little paradise if you want to, but I need you to stop hating me like a spoiled child.”
His eyes are piercing, but my authority is above any eye-piercing effect.
[Jaur] - Spoiled child? I am a spoiled child for disliking how you destroyed my family and turned my own daughter away from me?!
“Yes. Yes, you are. This daughter of yours isn’t a plaything which belongs to you. And even if it did, then I took it because I decided to go against the dictator you decided to submit yourself to.”
He’s crossing his arms and looking at the side.
[Notice]: God Jaur has lost his affinity to the sun.
What’s that about?
[Answer]: A god’s affinity is related to his properties, to how his followers contact him and feel his presence. God Jaur was felt by his followers as a warm ray of sunlight blessing them at any times, even when it was winter. Now he’s lost this property.

What’s my property?
[Answer]: God Messiah has the property of being a Divine Ruler. His effects on followers is to make them feel as if they were being carried through life by a supreme and wise force greater than them.
Meh.
“You’re like a child who takes a bunny in the wood and start breeding it. Then a hunter comes, kill and eats the bunny, and you think the hunter is a big mean bastard. Wake up. If you had made your daughter a goddess like you are a god, then she wouldn’t be up for me to taking. The one who put his daughter in the world as prey, even though you are a hunter, from a race of hunters, was you yourself.”
[Jaur] - …
What a heavy mood.
Am I right on this point? Ain’t I just justifying my actions through an idea of nature which doesn’t apply necessarialy?
[Answer]: Y..
I DON’T FUCKING CARE!
SHUT UP!
…
“Maybe. Maybe I have done too much, since I could have let your child out of this. Maybe I could have taken her powers, or breed one of my own. But I did it because you had been trying to go against me from day one. I wanted to show you that you don’t have the spunk to do it. Got what I say?”
…
[Nina] - Messiah-Chan…
“Wait.”
I looked at Jaur.
“But I’m willing to let you have it your way. You can go back in time if you want to, and take your daughter’s soul from her body. Put another soul there if you want to.”
Time traveling.
Of course gods can do it.
But it’s risky.
I obviously asked about it to the [Omniscience] before, but it required permission from the Emperor God, so I decided to not mind it.
And the reason why it needs my permission is because…
[Jaur] - You would allow me to do that?
“That and nothing else. Omniscience tells me it’s safe as long as you don’t do anything else. Don’t hug her. Don’t kiss her. Don’t do ANYTHING else besides getting there, taking her soul, and then coming back. I will call in the Inspector if you mess things up.”
Because the System is linked to it.
As a God Emperor, I have a certain level of access to the divine system.
So I can allow people to mess with the system at a time-flow level.
Now, usually only technicians can do it, since Time regarding the events and doings of gods is a very complex subject, but Omniscience guaranteed that I could do this much without problems.
As long as we don’t generate a paradox, we will be safe.
Otherwise, the system will crash again and we ALL will be punished by the pantheon.
“That’s how far I’m willing to go in order to have you folks cooperate with me in good terms. I want you to work with the things you like, and do your best seeing this as an opportunity, not slavery. But if you guys take advantage of me… then I will have to take some kind of action. Got it?”
Everyone is nodding in approval.
Nice.
Step 1 of my return home, completed.

8 162The Writer
Frustrated with his limits, the young writer Seven accepts an offer from a supernatural entity, traveling to its world whilst given the chance to live past his regrets. Humans, though, are creatures that don't easily change, and his warped views of reality turn him into an unpredictable ally or foe in the game of death that is to follow. For the sake of translating his new experiences into a written masterpiece, he will spare nothing, not even his own life - so long as the work is complete. *** Romance tag was previously there, but it starts quite late in the story and I've yet to reach that part. I know how it will happen (more precisely, how I want it to happen), but currently, there are just subtle nuances that can only be left to the reader's very expansive imagination, and I wouldn't call that romance but a
