Chapter 1: Transfer
Jerry awoke with a cold sweat, looking around to see an unfamiliar scenery, smell, and feel. For one, he’s not on a bed anymore but was instead greeted with a cold, hard floor. It also smelled bad. A mix of incense, a bit smoky, and a bit like coins in milk.
Jerry looked around to find that he was on a stone floor. Something very different as he had wooden floors, and no one used stone as floors. He looked around some more to find he was in some satanic circle. He looked up to find multiple men dressed in dark robes with one holding a knife.
“What the fuck!” Jerry said as a natural reaction. As he shot straight up.
“Relax” The man with the knife said.
“You’re fine” Said a robed man
“In fact, we’d like to say, welcome!” Another robed man said
Jerry looked around a bit panicked but calmed down a bit. He was still alert, however.
‘Okay, let’s think a bit. What the fuck is happening, how am I here, why am I here, and why is he holding a knife’ Jerry thought.
“Care to explain what’s happening?” Jerry asked
“Ahh, yes. We’ve summoned you.” The man with the knife said
“Look man, I’m not interested in being a human sacrifice.” Jerry said.
“What makes you think you’re gonna be a human sacrifice?” The man asked as he looked around.
“Oh” The robed man said.
“Rest assured, you’re not gonna be a human sacrifice” The robed man said.
Then, there was a knock on the door.
“Is it done yet, Likro?” A feminine voice asked
“Yes, Your Highness” The robed man with the knife said.
The door was soon opened and came in a girl with long pink haired, short, flat-chested, and very cheerful.

“Welcome, Hero!” She said
“Hero?” Jerry asked confused
“That’s right! Hero!” She said with a large smile.
“Hero.” Jerry said
“Yes. Heeeee rooooooo” She said, soon pouting.
“Right. Who’s the little girl?” Jerry asked.
The girl’s face quickly turned furious.
“Little girl?” She asked.
“Your Highness, P-Please calm down” The robed man with the knife said.
“You’re right. He must not come from a world that has a monarch” She said as her face lightens up.
“No, I do” Jerry said.
The girl’s face quickly darkened.
“Then why don’t you know what to call me!” She screamed.
“Cause monarchy fell out of favor hundreds of years ago and mostly, I don’t care” Jerry said
“I-I see.” She said while trying to regain her composure.
“A-Anyway, welcome to the Royal Palace. We hope you serve us well.” The girl said.
“Serve?” Jerry asked.
“That’s right. You’ll be serving us! Got a problem with that?” She said. Almost screaming.
The robed man with the knife stepped in.
“Ehh, We summoned you here to defeat the Demon Lord that has been ravaging the Empire’s land for decades now. When the mission is completed, you will be awarded many rewards and may marry the princess here” The robed man with the knife said
“Uhh, I’ll take more rewards, and less marrying,” Jerry said
“Is there something wrong with me?” She asked. Looking at Jerry confused.
“No, it’s just a crime from where I come from to marry a child.”
The robed man with the knife just sighed and before the girl could open her mouth, the door busted open. A man entered the room seeming panicked
“Good news, Your Highness!” The man said.
“What is it?” She said
“We just received word that the King has sworn in the Hero!” Immediately, everyone in the room started to whisper to each other. The man said as he looked up. His face immediately darkened as his eyes laid upon Jerry, who was still in his sleepwear.

“I-Impossible! He’s right here!” She said.
The man stayed silent.
“Likro, fetch us and the Hero a carriage. We set out soon” She said
“As you wish, Your Highness” The robed man with the knife said.
“You, follow me. We need to get you dressed. You can’t show up to the Royal Palace like… that” She said as she looked at Jerry.

The Oath of Oblivion
Rane could draw power from the dead and make it his own. For some, such an arcane birthright would be a boon and a blessing. To Rane, it meant being forced on a path of bloodshed and death based on the whims of his slavers. To commit acts that went against every human instinct he retained. Years of torture and captivity have left his body weak and his mind in shambles, yet he still retains a few, fragmented memories. They hint at a life beyond what his prison and what his cruel masters have allowed him. At a family he's lost, and a promise he's already broken. To escape, Rane will have to face fierce beasts, unhinged mages and the true essence of what it means to be human. And as the peace between ancient kingdoms grows uneasy and the world plunges headfirst into madness, the cost of freedom might prove high. In the chaos of conflict and men’s ravenous ambitions, the true name of the world has been long forgotten. Note 2: This novel is also posted on justlightnovels.com. Surrounded by the beauty and grace of Mother Nature, there lies a little village. In serenity the villagers live without much worries except for their jobs and personal lives - after all, there seems to be no major problem at first. Everybody is happy, everybody is well. That goes the same for two girls, Neha and Sachen, who are friends since childhood, and who believe that they will stick with each other forever. But one day, the High Order of the Celestials announces that the gods are angry at the village due to the rise of sin and corruption. They will take extensive measures to ensure the village’s survival, though for the girls, things are not what they seem. A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
