Early in the morning after Streak and i had gotten used to all of our new abilities we had decided that it was time to go out and hunt some real beasts. Walking out of the cave we saw a blue beasts that looked like a giant gecko

Motioning for Streak to get back into the cave, I decide to check out the whole rank thing

"Show rank!"(Jack)

"Huh, I guess I just never bothered to try that..."(Jack)

Once again walking out of the cave, this time with newfound knowledge we decide to fight the intruder. Sending out a challenging roar I smash into it using quick attack and then jump back to avoid getting hit by the water spears sent flying my way. Looking up I see two more water geckos."hmm this might actually be fun... STREAK! Since your fire is weak against water you take one of them and I'll take the other 2."

Using earth magic I quickly create spikes that shoot out of the floor underneath the geckos who's front legs are pierced. They immediately destroy the spikes with water magic only to look up and see me racing at them. Before they could even react I imbue my front claws with mana and use piercing attack to rip through one of the water geckos hearts, instantly killing him. Suddenly, the remaining water gecko appears behind me while I was distracted and imbued his own claws with water magic and attempts to do the same thing to me as I did to his companion. As he strikes, expecting to pierce through my scales kill me he is met with a major surprise as his claws merely pierce around an inch into my scales. Turning around I bite into the surprised geckos throat and rip it out killing him. DING! [You have gained 4 levels for both kills]

"Whew, without my repellent scales I would be dead right now! That just goes to show that you can never let your guard down."(Jack)

Turning around I see Streak standing above the dead gecko with a few scratches here and there.

"Cool"(Jack) Walking back to Streak I tell him that we're going to go hunt more beasts.

"Ok, master!"(Jack)

With that we set off on our journey to get stronger. Walking through the forest we still found some beasts that we couldn't handle so we had to hide, but we still hadn't found any beasts our strength. That is until we came across the forest lion.

"Streak, do you think we could take him?"(Jack)

"Easily!"(Streak)

"Well then let's go!"(Jack)

After saying that I create a few earth spears and throw them at him. Quickly reacting he dodges most of them but is still hit in the side with one of them. Looking up he spots us and raises his claw up and swinging it down creating a claw of mana that comes flying at us. I quickly create walls of earth that block the mana claw. Streak quickly sends his own attack in the form of a fire ball that is quite larger than normal. Realizing he can't block it, the lion jumps out of the way and charges at Streak apparently forgetting I was there. Taking the opportunity given to me I use quick attack and piercing claw at the same time charging at him with speeds he can't react to. Piercing straight through his brain the fight is quickly over.

"Streak, never forget an opponent. That was the lions downfall."(Jack)

"Yes master!"(Streak)

"Well then Streak, let's bring this guy back to the cave and get some rest."(Jack)

After around an hour of walking with the lion slung over Streaks back we finally got back to the cave. Immediately starting to skin the lion Streak starts a fire.

"Why are you starting a fire"(Jack)

"I haven't had anything cooked and I want to know how it tastes."(Streak)

"Fine."(Jack)

Seeing no problem with it I start to slowly roast the lion over the fire. After an hour it's finally done. Looking over at the drooling Streak I rip off a leg and throw it to him witch he quickly chomps down on before taking one myself.

"Streak please stop calling me master it's just getting weird."(Jack)

"But why?"(Streak)

"We are equals there is no lesser or greater in this friendship, please call me Jack."(Jack)

"...ok ma... Jack"(Streak)

"Better. Ok, now that we've got that out of the way it's time for the important stuff."(Jack)

"What important stuff?"(Streak)

"What we our next steps are"(Jack)

"Isn't it obvious? We're going to kill your parents."(Streak)

"It's not that simple Streak. They're TITANS. That's too far in the future to be thinking about right now. I'm talking about what are NEXT steps are.(Jack)

"Well, shouldn't we become as strong as possible? Right now we are only D ranked creatures."(Streak)

"Yes, I was thinking that we should try to overtake this forest."(Jack)

"What does that mean?"(Streak)

"Well, have you ever noticed that sometimes there is a roar that makes all of the creatures in this forest cower in fear. Or that sometimes you see animals bring there own prey all in the same direction? All of this points to there being a leader of this forest. I was thinking that once we get strong enough that's who we go for first."(Jack)

"Yes, that does sound like a good plan."(Streak)

After we decided what our next steps would be we drifted off to sleep awaiting the next morning.

Woken up by the sunlight streaming through the caves entrance. Waking up Streak we quickly eat some breakfast and left the cave to go hunt some more. We had killed a few D ranked beasts and gained 8 more levels before deciding to go home. After getting home we ate some more lion meat before going to sleep. Waking up the next morning Streak and I ate some breakfast before heading out once again. After a while of walking the densely populated forest suddenly seemed abandoned. There were none of the normal animal sounds. Feeling that something was wrong I jump into a nearby bush dragging Streak along with me. Right as Streak was hidden in the bush a 30 ft long bright red wyvern walked out of nearby trees.

'So that's what we're up against'(Jack)

After standing there for a while the wyvern walks away. Making sure that he is gone before we move Streak and I head back to the cave gaining 4 levels along the way. When we got to the cave we ate dinner in silence.

"Streak, I've decided. Tomorrow we're going to hunt a C ranked monster and evolve."(Jack)

"Exactly what I was thinking!"(Streak)

"Well then, get some sleep."(Jack)

"Ok"(Streak)

Lying down I think 'if that's how strong an A- ranked monster is how strong would an SSS+ monster be?'

Trying not to think about it anymore I fall asleep. Waking up at the same time as every other day Streak and I set out on a journey to find a C ranked monster. After walking through the forest for an hour making sure to avoid any signs of the wyvern we finally find what we're looking for. In a clearing a few meters away is an earthy brown lizard around 1 ft longer than Streak.

Spotting us, the Lizard lets out a challenging roar. Accepting the challenge Streak and I step into the clearing to face the Lizard. Making the first move the Lizard hurls a large stone at us. As it comes closer I use piercing claw and split the stone in half. Sending his own attack Streak throws a HUGE fireball at the Lizard. Realizing that he can't block it the Lizard jumps to the side, signalling to Streak that it was time we both charge at the Lizard from different directions. Making a quick decision the Lizard forms a dome of earth around himself. Streak jumps forward and uses his most damaging attack, comet punch to shatter the dome. Apparently waiting for his dome to be broken the MehrErde Lizard stabs his sharp tail at me stabbing me in the gut

Attempting to finish me off the Lizard charges at me only to be sent flying into a tree by Streak using tail smash. Angry at myself for letting my guard down I use nearly all of my mana and create a swirling tornado of earth spears and send it flying at the MehrErde Lizard. Trying to fight the tornado only results in the Lizard getting stabbed by multiple earth spears and ultimately dying.

Walking back to the cave with the MehrErde lizards body takes around 2 hours. Once we get back I immediately fall on the floor from mana exhaustion.

"Haah, Even though the Blitz lizard is very intriguing I'm going to have to go with the Elementare Magie Lizard."(Jack)
