《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 50. Hold firm.

We reach a village a little ways before the main part of the wall without anything happening to my convoy except any villager we went past started shouting and waving ecstatically.
"Emperor! Emperor! It's the Emperor!" One of the village gate guards shouts and immediatly the wooden gates open for me and my convoy.
We enter the village and head through it almost instantly without stopping.
"Emperor! News! One of the guardsmen told me that there is currently an enemy offensive at the wall! It is quite a large one as well!" One of my soldiers tells me and immediatly I order the entire convoy to go at full speed.
(A large offensive, quite likely that there is an elite with them...)
We reach the wall in a matter of hours and I could hear the battle from quite far away.
"Alright. We have arrived. Everybody knows what to do so go and do it!" I shout out as loud as possible and all the soldiers and my companions jump out of the wagons at almost the same time and head up to the wall.
(I could check for an elite. Remove the strongest and the enemy might want to retreat to save numbers.)
I jump high up into the sky and look around while falling and see a tall, thin human walking side-by-side with the regular soldiers.
The human has claws stuck straight into his hand and it seems like somebody stabbed two horns into his forehead to make him look like a demon.
(That must be it. Unless it's a regular-looking soldier who is an elite but doubt that is the case.)
I start rapidly descending on the elite and crash straight into him, sending him flying through his allies into a tree.

He slowly gets up from the tree and runs towards me at quite a speed.
"Fast, huh? But you gotta go faster than that." I say as I vanish infront of his eyes and appear behind him, leaving him with a surprised face.
"Think your last thoughts as fast as you can since after this, not even dust will remain." I say and he tries to turn around to stab me but I grab his neck.
"Fire Magic: [Incinerate]" I finish my spell in a flash and his entire body turns into a tornado of fire.
In merely a second, his body is completely gone and even the dust is nowhere to be seen.
I turn my attention to a line of robed enemies with staves.
They are chanting something and I immediatly realize what it is.
(Mass-Summoning magic? Yeah that ain't gonna happen...)
"Light Spell: [Heaven's Gaze]" I use a high-tier beam spell to wipe them out of existence and end their summoning in an instant.
I then grab my sword and start cutting up the regular soldiers while walking back to the wall.
Once I reach the wall, I do a 180 turn and look behind me.
"That's enough for one day... Water Spell: [Tidal Wave]" I summon a big wave of water that quickly turns red as there is more blood than water in the soil.
I then use it to kill the front line of the enemy offensive and wash the others far enough from our wall that they won't be a hinderance.
I jump up to the top of the wall and land perfectly.
"You have returned, My Lord. Is it time to make the push already?" One of the nobles approaches me in full plated armor and holding a halberd.
"No, not yet. I just came to make sure the walls don't fall. Also, have the offensive waves slowly been getting bigger and bigger?" I ask half out of curiosity and half out of caution.

"Yes. Based on our observations, each offensive grows by at least a thousand troops and the waves have been getting shorter and shorter." The noble immediatly responds while keeping a wary eye on the direction of the enemy.
I sigh and look to the sky as well.
"It seems we are their number one problem then. Only our wall hasn't been breached yet. The other sovereign nations aren't so lucky with their walls. Quite a few breaches have already happened but they've somehow managed to regain their control." I tell to the noble and see the visible surprise in his eyes.
"But these enemies are no trouble. They haven't even been able to scale the walls properly yet." The noble once again responds.
"Simple. The Elites breached it. Alone. The one I killed first was an elite. Not a strong one but still an elite. Keep an eye out for them as I don't know how strong they are compared to the regular soldiers." I answer the noble and then wave goodbye.
I head down to the carriages.
"Unpack everything and distribute it to the entire wall! There should be enough!" I shout out and everybody immediatly jumps into action.
The wall is quite large since I did take control of an Empire and that is why I brought an entire large convoy of resources with me.
--- Exactly a day later ---
"Enemy attack! The interval has shortened by another hour!" A scout shouts and immediatly locks the small door in the gate behind him.
"Enemy number?" I ask in a calm voice.
"I don't know exactly but this time it's massive. More than the usual reinforcement of a 1000 troops! We must be careful!" The scout shouts and I immediatly realize his panic.
(A large amount of regular troops basically confirms the existence of a few elites with them. This one is going to be rough on the troops morale.)

ARMOR
I was created as the ultimate dungeon trap: a living suit of armor that devours any adventurer who dons me. My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin and betraying them at the last moment. This time will be no different. Or so I thought. Now I'm living the life of an adventurer. Hopefully, my companions won't realize I'm not who, or what, they think I am. *Now updating Tuesdays and Thursdays Additional tags I couldn't include: Romantic subplot This story is meant to be a book rather than a serial, there will eventually be an ending. It is also my first book length work so while I intend to do my best, mistakes and issues will occur.
