《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 33. The Commerce Section.

All of us got up early in the morning as to search the city faster.
Currently, we all are gathered in the tavern's cafeteria.
"I'll be heading to the commerce section, for obvious reasons. What about you all?" I tell the others my destination and ask for theirs.
"Well... I think we'll be going shopping! Without male escorts. Memui's strong enough, right?" Vivian answers with a clear tone and I see all the girls nod in agreement.
I then look towards the men.
"We'll be doing what we do best. And that's aimlessly wandering around the entire city and probably get into a few battles." Silan answers while slightly laughing.
(All alone today as well... Oh well, I move fastest when I'm alone.)
"All of us have our own plans and that means we need a rendezvous point and time. This tavern, around when the sun starts setting should be good. Make sure to get in the least amount of trouble as possible..." I finish up our current little meeting and immediatly get up and so do the others.
We all leave the tavern and the moment I step out, I jump high into the air, towards the quite clearly seeable commerce section.
I land in a back alley and walk into the crowd of people, blending in completely.
(I've blended in, now to see how the trade is around here.)
I follow the crowd, which quite weirdly, is moving in a single direction.
(Aha, so that's why this was a one-way street. A guild!)
I enter the guild and see something quite similiar to a supermarket.
(You enter through a gate, guarded by two guards, to the section with all the various goods. Once you've gotten what you want, you go to the cashiers who make sure everything is in order and ask for payment for the goods.)

"Thief!" Shouts one of the cashiers.
I turn my attention towards the thief and I immediatly saw a man in full black clothing and wearing a mask drop down from the ceiling, right ontop of the thief.
He carries the thief away into a room on the side, which is guarded by four guards.
(So the men on the ceiling do the thief busting and the guards just disencourage everybody from doing anything stupid.
Like that thief who probably had no other choice.)
I look around and notice something.
(All of the guards... They're... All orcs. Each and every single of them is an orc.)
I turn around and go back out to the streets.
There are many small stalls which have frequent guests but I can't see any major stores, only small shops.
(I'm guessing the trade is focused around the guild, again. But in this city it seems possible to set up, even if I am completely new. Well. We still have the 2nd place to check out.)
I wander through the streets until I finally find a big store.
(It's size is half of the Guild's but it seems this is an actual store, independent from the guild.)
I enter with zero hesitation.
(The buyers tell them what they want from the menu and the cashiers get the wanted thing? Kind of ineffecient but thievery is nigh impossible.)
I leave the store without anybody noticing me.
(Both of the guild buildings were just made out of stone but the Guild building had a more... Elegant look to it.
This one is just plain. A stone building with a big sign saying the store name and that's all.)
I keep wandering around the Commerce Section but all I see are small stone buildings with small stores or little stalls on the side of the street.

The only two major stores are the Guild and the one I recently went into.
(Maybe a third power, aka me, could rise here... But it'd take too long. Way too long.)
I head out of the commerce section and notice that the sun is still in the sky.
"Guess I have some time..." I wander towards the castle, just to see how they reacted to my little surprise visit yesterday.
The moment I get near, I notice that the guard has been tightened. A lot.
"Light Magic: Invisibility." I activate my usual light-bending spell and calmly walk into the throne room.
"What do we do!?" One of the advisors screams out.
"Calm down. Shouting won't fix anything. The Lord's son is nowhere near old enough to take the throne and the only suitable regent is the Lord's wife but she's been missing since yesterday." A man in full armour says to everybody else.
"I heard that the Lord's wife ran away because the lord had been playing with the other women a tad bit too much. She won't be coming back, ever, if that's the case." An old advisor speaks out.
(It seems I've given them a veeery difficult situation to handle.)
I leave the keep and stroll around the city for a while until the sun started setting.
"Time's up I guess..." I say as I jump high into the sky and land straight infront of the tavern.
I dispell the light-bending spell and enter the tavern.
"All of your friends have already gone to their rooms. You are the last one to arrive." The tavernkeeper says to me in a respectful tone.
"Thank you." I say as I go up the stairs.
I head into my room and the two Vivian's are asleep.
I go to sleep myself after thinking a bit.
(L'Aminne is good if I have already set up a HQ in another place and want to set up a forward post here. To start the HQ here would take WAAY too long. The world would've died by then. Only one option remains...)

Catalyst: Avowed
The year is 605, and in your home— the country of Corcaea— the souls of mankind belong to demons. A phenomenon known as the "Catalyst" is what's to blame. This diabolical phenomenon lurks within every man, woman, and child. It can turn any human into a demon, if they fall prey to one, all-consuming element. It can be anything. Fear. Grief. Generosity. Even love. In a land where Gods are real and Corcaea's theocracy is the last hope for mankind, you follow in the footsteps of Father Richard Anscham: a deeply disturbed young priest, the leader of the Church of Mercy, and the foremost researcher of the Catalyst. Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. See through the harrowing eyes of a man at his wit's end; through a dark fantasy tale of horror, hope, and desperation. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst! As this is an archive of Catalyst Quest (an interactive, collaborative story), the prompts that were included with the original run of Avowed have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete! The story will continue with Catalyst: Calunoth, just as soon as I am done revising its content for here on Royal Road.
