《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 32. L'Aminne, First Day.

The guard silently looks at me and writes something on a piece of paper.
The other guard, which is 'inspecting, Viv is being a whole lot touchier.
"Hey, James!" shouts the guard inspecting Viv and the responding guard is the one which passed me.
"What?" James asks calmly.
"This one's quite a catch don't ya think? The Lord'll be happy and so will the customers. Actually the more I look most of the women behind this one are quite good catches..." The first guard says whilst wiping away saliva.
(IDIOTS. Pure idiots. You don't announce that outloud! Because... Of me!)
I start secretly reading a spell and when the spell finishes I start smiling.
The guards start slowly dragging out all the women.
"Bad idea, I now have a reason to kill you. Water Magic: Waterfield." I say calmly as the entire area around me turns into a field of water but only the guards start sinking down.
(Absoloute fools. This leaves no trace of you so nothing can be blamed on me.)
The guards sink to the bottom and the field closes, instantly killing the guards in the solid ground.
"Now to just open the gate..." I jump up into the air, near the controls of the gate.
The guards in the gatehouse shout in shock but I instantly cast three low-level spells to wipe them out.
"Did these guards not think that a strong person would just waltz up to their gate?" I say as I open the gates and all the people who were supposed to be 'inspected' run in.
(Ok so all that is done... Should I go remove the head of the corruption this instant? Yeah I should...)
I activate a short warp-like air spell and appear ontop of the roof of the keep.

I calmly jump down through the roof and make myself dissapear with a light-bending spell.
(Whoa, this place actually looks amazing. Pillars reaching up to the roof, red carpets everywhere, decorative holes and paintings everywhere.)
Strolling through the keep, I finally find my target.
I walk behind the throne and look at the lord who is too big to even fit on the throne to be honest.
"Earth Magic: Spearhead. Say night night, big ol' piggy." I whisper to the lord and cut off his head, which then rolls on the floor straight infront of all his subordinates.
I calmly open the doors and walk outside and warp back to the others whilst dispelling all the other spells.
"Sorry I'm late. So, anybody got any ideas of where to go?" I ask the others who then shake their heads.
(Nobody knows of L'Aminne huh.. And the guards weren't useful at all...)
As I think about where to go Silan jumps down out of nowhere.
"I have freed all the captives and they don't need to worry about the guards. I also took the liberty of securing our sleeping location for the few days we spend here." Silan says to everybody and starts leading us to the tavern.
(So this is our sleeping location. Quite decent from the looks of it.)
Everybody else enters and I put the horses and the carriages in the stable and carriage holding area.
I enter the tavern and everybody is already eating, again.
I also order some food and sit down with everybody else.
"So, where were you Colin?" The girls ask at the same time.
"Removing some corruption, nobody important though." I answer them instantly so they don't doubt me. Well it is half of the truth.

Everybody keeps on eating and a gang of ruffians enter.
"Ey, you told us ye'd pay us by today. Where's 'r money? Huh? Where is 'r money bastard!?" They start beating up the tavern keeper but the moment I look at them they freeze since I directed a bit of killing intent at them.
As I yawn the ruffians leave with their 'weapons' left behind.
"Honestly, the quality has dropped and the quantity has increased ever since we started this trip, right?" I ask my group and they all answer with a yes.
The tavern keeper looks up and I go up to him.
"Nature Magic: Recovery." I cast a spell upon him and he instantly starts recovering from the bruises.
"We should get going to sleep, shouldn't we?" I ask everybody as it is getting dark and we've drawn a bit too much attention to ourselves.
We all stop eating and go to our bedrooms, which Silan had already bought for us.
I put a strong person and a weak person together in one room just in case somebody tries something funny.
I'm sharing a room with Viv and Vivian since they refused to share a room with anybody else.

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
