《A Forgotten Soul》Chapter 3: The One Soul Left Behind

What in the world is this? Am i alive? I’m pretty sure i saw my body being erased before my very eyes. Don't tell me this is a dream? No that would be preferable. Could i be dead? Does that mean this is hell? Or Is it Purgatory? Though all i could see was pure darkness.
I tried to move my limbs, but nothing moved. Or rather there wasn’t anything too move. Even if i couldn’t see my hands or legs, i would’ve been able to feel them at the very least. My fingers would touch my palm and through my sense of touch i would know it was there. The norm after all.
I tried moving my legs, but there too was nothing. I didn’t feel anything solid underneath me either, nor could i make out anything with my eyes. I suppose my body really was erased. I can neither hear, nor smell. nor see, nor feel, nor taste anything.
That would mean that the darkness I see isn’t because the world around me is dark, but because i am unable to perceive anything other than darkness.
“Your thinking about this quite logically despite the situation you're in. Or is it because the situation you're in that you're thinking so logically? Though you’re a bit wrong with your thesis”
I once again heard a familiar voice ring in my head.
“You can neither hear nor see because there’s nothing to perceive here other than empty space. And you can’t feel nor smell nor taste, because you’ve lost your physical body that gave you those very capabilities in the first place. Though it's not like you'd be able to use any of them here, because again there’s nothing here for you to perceive”
“Is that so…”
God's voice was a little irritating, and he sound like a know-it-all who loves bragging about things, but this gave me a breath of relief. The only one would could possibly save me is here.
“Save you why would i do that?”, asked God
“What!”, i was confused.
“Hold on give me an explanation at least”, i exclaimed
“An explanation? What do you need me to explain, ask away?”, answered God
“Okay where is this, am i dead, and why did you leave me there in that literally Godforsaken planet”, i asked
“Space, yes, and because i couldn’t do anything. about it”, said God nonchalantly
“Explain at least the last one!”, i yelled

“You aren’t making this any easier to understand”
“But aren’t information dumps boring? I mean this exposition isn’t really that necessary, and it might bore the reader if the snail's pace the stories moving at hasn’t already.”
“Just Explain! The readers don’t-”
I was about to say something, but an intense pain interrupted my train of thought and i forgot what i was trying to say.
“Well okay. This space you’re in right now is what’s left of the entire Universe. Just a massive amount of black space. As for you, you are a mass of consciousness, a soul basically. So technically you are dead, well at least your physical body is dead.”
“Okay, i get that part but what about the whole moving thing you said you were gonna do. I mean from what i can tell I was the only one left behind!.”
“Yeah yeah, just let me explain. After the end of our conversation, i created a sort of [Program] designed filter the countless universes and send each person to the world they desired. The process would've taken a bit so, i moved every single one of my sentient creations into a pocket dimension where time is frozen.”
“Except me...,” i inserted
“No, i undoubtedly moved every single one of my creations.”, God retorted
“But I’m-”
“Still here. I know, but just listen to me. I told you earlier, so let me repeat myself. I moved every single of my sentient creations. And then i set up another [Program] to systematically delete the rest of my creations. Yet you remain. Think about it Satou.”
“This is….”
He moved every single being and deleted whatever was left. But i remain. Not that’s wrong. He moved and deleted his creations. This means that….
“You mean that, you didn’t create me….”
“Exactly,”
“But that doesn’t make sense, if I’m not one of your creations why was i still erased. And if you didn’t create me who did.”
“Oh, your physical body counts as one of my creations as it was birthed by your parents. But your soul is different, and it’s the very reason you’re still here talking to me. So just hold that thought, and let me talk about the [Program]. When i made that [Program] that deleted everything in the Universe, i said early that i set it destroy the rest of my creations. But that's a little off it was set to destroy all creation. In other words even though you aren't my creation and your soul wasn’t made by me, it should’ve long been destroyed. But here you are, having another nice little chat with me.”

“In other words?”,
“In other words, your creator is someone on a far greater level than me, and your existence is one equivalent of mine. As for who he is, I've no clue what so ever but, even with the authority and power of a True Immortal God i don’t posses the capability to destroy your soul.”
“What!?”
My existence is one on par with that of a God? But I’ve always just been slightly above average others. I haven’t experienced any supernatural phenomenon till today. But what if he’s saying is true….
“Then you will one day become like me, a God,” interrupted God
Oh yeah this guy can read thoughts. He was doing it earlier too.
He laughed and said,”Don’t get your hopes up. The day you become a God, isn't any time soon. And besides you are a bit different from regular Gods. God’s like me were born with all our power from the very start, with the full knowledge of how to use it. But in your case you don't have any almighty powers and you didn't even realize you had anything. The only God-like quality i see that you possess is Immortality, and a nearly indestructible soul.”
So I’m immortal that's not that bad. But wait.
“I can still become a God right?”
“Of course, but you will need to wait several hundred thousand millennia before Godly powers manifest in you. To someone who has seen things from a mortal’s standpoint that may seem like a while, but after the first Hundred millennia time goes by. And after living a practical eternity, it’s nothing.”
“I see, but hey God. What am i supposed to do in the mean time between now and becoming a God. Am I just supposed to float here until i become a God or something?”
God laughed, ”Well you could, let me tell you this. When you’re just floating here in empty space where nothing changes at all, time flies by rather quickly. You won't even realize that a thousand years have gone by. And after the first couple billion years you won’t even think about how long a decade was before. Thought that's not something a person who hasn’t even lived a millennia would realize. As an Immortal, you will come to understand this sooner or later.”
“A Millennium still seems so far out of reach.”
"Well anyway right now the space this world occupies is extraordinarily small compared to before, now that I destroyed the universe and all. Just imagine yourself flying forward. After some time, you should be able to pass through the world boundary into the Dimensional Field filled with a countless universe. You can pick whatever Universe you want from there. Though choose wisely, because you will still be bound by the rules, and laws that bind that universe with the exception of death of course. And until your strength reaches a certain degree you won’t be able to leave either.”
“I see…..”
“Well have fun! I’m-a go make a new universe now!”, said God merely as his voice disappeared.
And just like that God left just as abruptly as he appeared. And i would never hear from hi-
“I forgot to mention one thing.”, God’s voice appeared yet again.
“Most Gods won’t be able to harm you as your soul is at the level of a True Immortal God, or possibly higher in regards to its indestructibility. But if you meet a God with strength surpassing your own you might die. Be careful"
And this time…
…
He’s not coming back right? And this time God finally left. With a final warning he left just abruptly and disappeared just as abruptly.
And some time after he left, i imagined myself closing my eyes, and flying forward. But when i opened them all i could see was the familiar black surroundings. So i continued to try and move forward.
I wonder how in the world am I supposed to te-
Oh... that’s how….
I seem to have entered an entirely white space dotted by countless black spheres, while i was in the middle of my thoughts.
With this the first few chapters that are basically a continuation of the Prologue have ended. Don't expect any more chapters this week. As for those who wanna know where this is going i'll add a little spoiler over here. [Spoilers Past This Point If you haven't realized this will be a sort of Reincarnation story, which are pretty common. There will be a few of my own Unique twists though. As for what he Reincarnates into you can take a guess. I won't be spoiling that one
