《Wandering through the stars》Chapter 10: An unexpected accident?

"What happened?" I asked one of the knights nearby, but he did not reply after bowing his head once. Raul always reported to me in a clear and detailed manner, so I had no choice but to wait for him. I saw him run towards me, maintaining his dignity throughout. Could he be a noble? There was no way since with his massive build, any child would flee the instant their eyes landed on him.
It seems that an unexpected accident has occurred, Young Master. One of the beastkin staying here was paying in advance for a few days. It suddenly changed its mind and wants the money back. Due to the fact that the authorities do not permit such an action, the innkeeper is not required to pay anything. Furthermore, the innkeeper has called the knights, who will arrive shortly."
He said Beastkin. It piqued my interest to hear about them now. There was a small figure visible through the window. There was no way to tell if the beastkin was a child or a woman, but seeing him/her wave her hand like that probably meant something serious had occurred. Soon afterward, the Knights appeared around a corner, making the beastkin run away. I wasn't able to get a glimpse of her face until she passed by my carriage, but what I saw made my heart race: feline-like eyes, dark as night. Smooth, white skin, a small nose, and rosy lips. She was so beautiful I couldn't breathe. She looked familiar to me instantly, but I couldn't pinpoint where I had seen her before. She gave me a scared look before scurrying away. In order to find out more about her, I stood up and went to look for her.
Raul, who was standing beside me with his mouth half-open as if about to give an order, raised his hand towards the direction in which she disappeared while I couldn't see her anymore. The action made me feel even more certain, so I couldn't help but ask him.

"Raul, do you recognize that boy? What are you doing with your hand?"
Raul turned towards me with a scared look that lasted only a moment before his normal face returned.
"There is no such thing, Young Master. I was simply being cautious because she may have been able to harm you."
Raul, I understand. I am very lucky to have you as my servant. I have always been cared for and my demands are met without even saying a word, even after the training is over. Did you think that I was that stupid to believe everything you said? Raul, who couldn't precisely see her face as I could, was quite sure that she was a girl, even though I had earlier said that she was a boy. Haiz, Raul. Earth people can be scary, don't you think?
Raul's distance from me and his odd whisper in the year of one of the knights made me realize that perhaps it wasn't I who had the command here, but someone else. Raul. I'm surprised I didn't find out about it sooner. It's likely that Raul was planted by my father to keep me in check. As a result, I was forced to comply.
As it turned out, getting involved with nobles was more troublesome than it appeared. I am certain that Raul would take action if I were to act. In order to keep my reputation clean, he may even make her disappear. I was not a fool who had no understanding of the noble's society. Similarly, the duel I was about to participate in was nothing more than a ceremony as well, but it also implied that the winning party would receive other benefits as well.
I finally got out after the local knights dispersed the crowd and walked directly to the inn, climbing the first stairs that came into my view. It didn't even matter if I saw the innkeeper's face or not. All I wanted to do was sleep.

"Young Master, your room is on the second floor, third room," Raul interjected as usual. I wasn't that grateful for his intervention, even though I didn't know which room I was in.
"I'll be next door, Young Master, if you need me."
"Fine, fine."
Changing quickly with an available change of clothes left on a chair was my first priority. Those pajamas fit perfectly. Then I crawled into bed and started to sleep. My mind began to wander as I was about to fall asleep, asking myself when Raul had prepared the room as we had just arrived.
