《Wandering through the stars》Chapter 7: Training

"Hup, hup, hup!" I have been swinging the sword for the past 2 days. I must admit, I found it boring. Really boring. After I rested for the first day, I had to swing a sword in the morning, take lessons on the subject in the afternoon, read the reports about the new dungeon that were the most interesting, then swing a sword again in the evening. Apart from the boredom, there was also the fatigue accumulating from running before and after. Thank goodness we had a priest who could cast Invigorate and a plant juice that had no taste to restore my stamina. The reason I am saying so is because I heard that most adventurers couldn't afford them. I was lucky to be reborn as a noble.
It had also been quite a few days since Raul had sent my father a letter, so I expected to hear back from him. Despite knowing I would not be judged negatively for the attack by the beast, I was still nervous. Depending on his answer, my life could change drastically. Indeed, that's what happened.
I was reading some reports when Raul came in with a letter from the Count. I was enjoying a quick snack and some tea."What are you eating?" asked Raul. "Is that cake?"?"
"Cough, cough..." I was caught in the act. Raul prohibited any sweets, saying they were bad for the muscles. But how could I refuse to try some otherworldly sweets? I already knew how they tasted, but a memory cannot compare with the moment you put them in your mouth. The prince-me died while being as hungry as a wolfe, and the earth me enjoyed sweets.
"Cough, did you say something about a letter, Raul?"
After looking at me for a few seconds, he handed me a letter.

"We will talk about that later."
‘Hiiiiik!' So even Raul can be scary, eh? I better not be caught next time.
My eyes scanned the letter as I hurriedly opened it. I did not find anything significant in it. It appeared that I passed the test without issues and that I would be returning home in about a month. Everything seemed to go well.
“I have also received instructions from the Count, Young Master. A duel will be held in a month. Either the Count didn't write the name of his partner in the letter or he hasn't decided yet. You will have to win no matter who you fight with! Time to train! You can start sparring today, I'll be your opponent, so you don't have to worry and can go all out right away! All right, now let's head out!" Before I could open my mouth, Raul had already grabbed my arm and was dragging me to the training camp.
.....
Raul smacked my foot with the flat part of the wooden sword in his hand and said, "Look at your feet! If you put one foot outside of your guard, you can easily be crippled." The pain was so intense that I blanked out and fell to the ground.
My foot felt like it was about to be torn off at any moment. A priest came and helped me heal my injury. When it was over, I stood in a daze and touched my leg. There was something miraculous about the pain disappearing in just seconds. Nevertheless, I was still angry.
“It wasn't a beating, Raul! You said it was a training session!”
“You will repeat the same mistake again and again if you don't learn from experience, Young Master. This is not acceptable. Therefore, your body needs to be trained simultaneously to react to everything that comes your way."

"Fine..." I mumbled, " But take it easy..., please!"
"Understood, Young Master! Let's go another round! Get up!"
How did things turn out? I was thrown away without mercy. All my limbs, my back, my stomach. Everything but my face and vital organs was destroyed. As a result, the knights also came to watch, making me even more impatient and losing even more miserably. When I was training, how could I have known that having them watch me would distract me? I couldn't have possibly known...
Over the past two weeks, the same thing has happened. As I sat on my bed and admired the muscles that have started to form on my arms, I finally received a new system message:
*Ding*

Web of Isolation
Dane Kain: he was, on the whole, very uninvolved with life. He never had any particularly lingering attachments to life and tended to let himself be carried away by the flow of things, a fact that would become very important after his sudden death when he awoke as something completely alien. Using some half remembered fun facts from his passing obsessions in life as well as a penchant for making things work that simply shouldn't, hopefully Dane will stand a chance as the creation he has now become.
