Months passed since Ryu and Naruto went on their camping trip. A few things happened during it, with Hokage giving them an apartment and him taking control of the council. During the end of December, there was a Hyuuga incident with Kumo attempting to kidnap the heiress. Other then that, Konohagakure been peaceful.

In a small rundown apartment, a silver haired beauty woke up, as her silver hairy fell to her waist. With a cute yawn as she stretched her flawless slender arms, she looked down and shrugged. With only a pair of boxers on, she grabbed her clothes for the day and headed towards the shower.

“Ryuu, what for breakfast?” Naruto called as he stumbled into the kitchen.

With an angelic voice replying, “We are having eggs, toast, and chakra bacon. There was a sell on chakra beast bacon yesterday.”

“Today you graduate from the academy isn’t it. So why can’t we have ramen, the food of the gods for breakfast.” Naruto passiantly said.

“I thought we would have ramen for dinner, but we can have it now and something later.” Ryuu sighed putting her head in her palm thinking. What should I do with all this food? Storing it for later no good.

“Err...we can have it later.” Naruto said as he seen her thinking on what to do with the food she just made. “Are you going to the academy like that today?”

Ryuu looked herself over and couldn’t see anything wrong. She was wearing a gray t-shirt with a white zip up hoodie over top. For her bottom half she was wearing a dark blue baggy pants due to the amount of pockets it offers. They also cover her perfectly sculpted legs, and black shoes. As always she also wearing her masked which covers her lower half of her face.

“Is something wrong with it?” She asked twirling.

“Yeah, there no orange.” Naruto said.

“Oh, they didn’t have any, so I am having a pair of glove custom made. They are going to be burnt orange, with a metal plate on the back. In a few days they should be ready.” Ryuu said making Naruto nod his head approving.

“Good luck.” Naruto said after Ryuu cleaned up and left for the academy.

“I got this.” Ryuu smiled giving him a small wave goodbye.

Arriving at the academy, Ryuu made her way to the classroom only to get sidetracked. Opening the door a door a few doors done. She found a couple teenagers around eighteen with their pants down, literally. From their chunin vests, she guessed they were the examiners. Instructor Bo was called out for a mission a week ago.

Looking at the male, he had short black hair and a beard with tanned skin. He looked similar to the Third Hokage, only a lot younger. The look on his face was priceless as it was in shock similar to the girl.

The woman had long brown hair and eyes. Her body in Ryuu opinion was a bit above average, with an oversized bust. Though that could because the man was currently was inspecting them in extreme detail. Her body waist was wrapped around the man's waist and looked like the girl been slacking on training.

Closing the door, Ryuu just headed towards the classroom where she spotted her two friends. It appeared that Hiruzen did take her advice about Hana and Izumi. The rest looked to be around twelve or thirteen.

“Ryuu, you made it. I was beginning to think you weren’t going to show..” Hana called out to her.

“I got sidetracked. Found two chunin doing a pantless tango a few doors down the hall.” Ryuu shrugged replying making those listening blush.

“H-how can you be so calm about that?” Izumi asked blushing even harder.

“The apartment the Hokage gave me and Naruto is near the red light district. Walk by some alleyways and you can see both civilian and shinobi. Sometimes even the same genders, though I prefer the women if I stumble across it.” Ryuu shuddered at the last comment.

“You prefer women?” Hana asked.

Nodding, Ryuu heard a small sound of relief from her. “Why?”

Blushing redder than a tomato, “Well even when you are in your female form I always think you as a guy.”

“Hmm, thanks I guess?” Ryuu shrugged as she really didn’t care which gender she in. She went to bed as a male and woke up female and shrugged it off as it happens from time to time.

Before the awkward situation could continue any further, the two chunin Ryuu found walked in. This time they had all their clothes on, and looked away once they saw her.

“Good morning, I am Asuma Sarutobi and this is Mirai. We are going to be your conducting your exam since your’s is still out on his mission. So let's start with the written test.”

A few groaned at the mention of the test, while others began to focus. The once carefree atmosphere vanished replaced with filled with determination. If looks and atmosphere could kill, the test wouldn’t even have ashes left.

Question one: Name the ranks of shinobi and Missions. Please explain why.

Finishing up the last one of the fifty question quiz, Ryuu heard the timer going off with groans. It was easy to see the ones that finished or didn't due to if they hit the table or not. Sending a glance to Hana and Izumi they were sweating a bit to the pressure. Which was reasonable as it was a bit harder than Ryuu guessed, but manageable.

“Alright, we will have a ten minute break and begin the next test, of kunai, shuriken throwing and taijutsu.” Mirai said as she collected the tests.

Stretching out, Ryuu sent a peace sign to Hana and Izumi with an eye smile. They just shook their heads at her as they began questioning themselves if they were ready or not. Neither of them were geniuses or prodigies of any degree. They themselves knew that as they worked hard if nothing else.

Heading to the testing field they firsted headed towards the throwing fields. There they were handed ten kunai and shurikens. One by one students took their turns with some better than others. It was also easy to pick out the ones that didn't train seriously as they barely scored higher than six.

When it was Ryuu’s turn she walked up and threw both set in under a minute. Seeing that only nine of her kunai hit the bullseye, the males and her flitched where the tenth landed. It landed right between the legs.

As for her shuriken eight of them hit the bullseye, and one in the neck and the other missing altogether. Receiving a nod from Asuma, Ryu fell back into line waiting to she how her friends did.

A few more went before Hana turn came with her getting a seven on the kunai and nine on shuriken. Smiling as she fell back into line, Izumi clapped sweating a little. The invisible pressure of seeing her two friends began to get to her.

“It alright Izumi, you be fine.” Ryuu said as they watched an older boy go.

It was a sad display as he only got three on the kunai and five on the shuriken. If he wasn’t shaking so bad it might have been better but if he can’t handle the test. Than it would be worse in the field.

Soon Izumi turn came up and she did pass despite being a bit nervous. While she only got a seven on the kunai she got a full ten on shuriken. With a bounce in her step she fell back into line with the last couple to go.

“Great, let’s move onto the taijutsu before we finish with ninjutsu. Ami Asu, your up first. You need to stay inside the ring for at least three minutes to pass..” Asuma said as his partner stepped into the ring.

Mirai took up the basic academy stance as Ami copied her. It was fairly obvious that Ami trained hard as she did well on the throwing test. If Ryu recalled correctly she got a seven on kunai and eight on shuriken.

“Begin,” Asuma said as he stepped out of the ring.

Ami went onto the offense beginning with a roundhouse kick testing her opponent. Expecting nothing less from a chunin, the kick was easily blocked. Jumping back missing the grab attempted at her leg.

In an attempt to attack, Ami sent another kicked to Mirai side, only to be successful grabbed.

Not wanting to hurt the girl too bad, Mirai attempted to throw her out of the ring. Only she didn’t count on Ami using the hold and sent a punch towards the chin. Forced to release her hold, Mirai was put on the defensive.

“Time.” Asuma shouted ending the spar with Ami passing the taijutsu section.

The next few went with a few passing with ease, a bit of trouble and failing. The closer it got to their turn, the more nervous they became. A few of the spars were done wonderfully, and the ones that come after felt they needed to do the same. Which led to some who would pass to fail due to invisible pressure put on themselves.

“Ryu Fumetsu,” Asuma called out.

“He currently female, so she is called Ryuu,” Izumi said as Ryuu never protests what she or he called..

“Ryuu, sorry your up.” Asuma shrugged only to find Ryuu already in the ring.

Ryuu took up the basic academy stance, as Hikari refused to teach her any taijutsu or ninjutsu. When asked why they were only focusing on body conditioning and chakra control. Hikari explained that she won’t teach, anything more until Ryuu became a genin.

So, Ryuu spent the last few months mastering different chakra control exercises. From tree walking to water walking, with taking two months on waterfall climbing. A mental shiver ran down Ryuu spine as she remembers trying to learn it. She ended up buying a swimsuit to train in, do to the amount of time she got soaked.

During the water walking, she would occasionally, add too much chakra and similar to the tree. The water would splash around her soaking her thoroughly. As for the waterfall climbing either her chakra wasn’t moving fast enough or again to much chakra.

For the next chakra control exercises, Hikari began her on sorting five different coloring of sand. She ended up mentioning that this exercise might take her a while to learn. So Hikari increase the body training portion. Which is now up to fifty laps, with three hundred push ups, sit ups, squats, and burpees per lap.

The training weights were now up to thirty pounds on each wrist and sixty on each leg. Hikari explained due to her being sealed, she didn’t need to worry about stunting her growth. Which Ryuu was thankful for.

“Begin.” Asuma broke Ryuu out of her thoughts.

Stepping forward, Ryuu sent a punch towards Mitai gut, which she blocked. However, her face turned in a bit of pain, giving a moment of opening. In that opening, Ryuu sent a fist to her chin, only to be blocked.

With a smirk, since both Mirai hands were occupied with one holding Ryuu’s fist and the other attempting to grapple. Ryuu twisted her flexible body and sent a kick to her head. Thinking quick, Mirai let go of Ryuu’s arms and ducked underneath.

“Your backs opened.” Mirai said in an attempt to push Ryuu out of the ring.

“Is it?” Ryuu answered as she landed on her hands and sent her two legs toward Mirai.

Crossing her arms to block, Mirai was surprised when she was forced a few steps back. Only the shocks kept on coming.

“Ryuu the winner due to ring out.” Asuma said also shocked. Granted he knew Mirai wasn’t the best in taijutsu as mostly trained in genjutsu and medical jutsu. She was still a chunin though, so being pushed out of the ring by an academy student was surprising.

“Alright you did it.” Hana congratulated her.

“Wow,” Izumi said hugging her.

The next few went with one being pushed out of the ring. Next up was Hana where she got into her clan’s taijutsu stance. Lowering herself to the ground, she leveled herself to the ground on all four. Her fingernails and toes shapren as she was ready to go.

“Izumaki clan, she might make a good lover for you in the future.” Hikari suddenly spoke. “Her clan’s trait given enhanced strength, speed and agility. There is also their enhanced senses.”

“Hikari, both of us are eight. So let's leave that thought for the future.” Ryuu replied not disagreeing or agreeing.

“Hmm, I suppose your right, though I haven’t seen any other Kunoichi around your age worthy of you. Izumi is one but her eyes are only for Itachi.” Hikari replied making Ryuu mentally nodded.

“Begin.”

Hana who was on the ground launched forward around low to mid genin speed. With a quick swipe of her hand, she forced Mirai to dodge. Jumping up above Hana, Mirai attempted to stomp down but missed. In a burst of speed, Hana moved out of the way and countered with claw swipe towards the head.

Ducking beneath the swip, Mirai was forced to guard when Hana almost kneed her in the face. The attacked appeared accidental as both fighters were forced to move back to regain their barring.

“Oh, what a feisty girl. I think I like her even more now.” Hikari praised Hana. “She still rough around the edges but if she keeps training she be great.”

“Time,” the matched ended with neither fighter managing to land a successful blow.

While neither landed an attack no one complained, as it showed Hana despite her age trained hard. Leaving the ring, Hana hands and toes returned to normal with no chakra claws.

“You did great.” Ryuu said.

“Yeah,” Izumi hugged Hana tightly. “Now I am worried about my match.”

“You be fine.” Ryuu and Hana said in sync.

True to their words, when Izumi turn came around she managed to make Mirai to sweat a bit. Mainly as Izumi didn’t activate her Sharingan or she would collapse in a minute. At the end of her match she nearly axe kicked the chunin head. Only to barely dodge and match end before the counter attack.

“Great, now let finish up with the ninjutsu part and be done with the exam.” Asuma smiled. “All you have to do is Kawarimi no Jutsu (Substitution jutsu) , Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Jutsu), and Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Jutsu).”

One by one, everyone surprising got through this with a few near failed. When Ryuu apart she nearly failed on the Bunshin due to makin ten instead of two. Asuma asked why so many, and she could only reply that due to density any lower and the jutsu is overloaded. Which he accepted as he must have heard from his Father, the Third Hokage. Hana and Izumi passed with no problem.

Placing her newly acquired head band with a black fabric in her pocket. Ryuu wanted to surprise Naruto.

“Alright those that got a headband, meet here in a week to learn your teams. The rest of you better luck next time.” Asuma said before he vanished in a cloud of smoke.

“We did it, Ryuu.” Hana smiled.

“Ha, Itachi graduating early, so what we did too.” Izumi said.

“Isn’t he out on a mission protecting some important figure?” Ryuu asked.

“I believe so. Though who allows such a genin team to do so. We can asked him when he gets back.” Izumi said nodding to herself.

“Meh, now should we go celebrate?” Ryuu asked.

“I got to go help at the bakery. I didn’t tell anyone about trying to graduate and to cover that I said I would.” Izumi said before running off. A bye was heard before the door closed and she was gone.

“Well, I got to help clean out the kennels, but swing by for dinner. We can do it.” Hana sighed.

“Can I bring Naruto?” Ryuu asked.

“Sure, no one will care, I got to go so I see you later.” Hana ran off.

“Meeting the parent. You sly dog.” Hikari siad.

“What are you talking about? We meet Tsume quite often.” Ryuu said as she headed towards her apartment. “Now what to do for the rest of the day.”

“Training!” The training manic shouted in Ryuu head.
