《Once you go Wuxxia you never go back. [Not a Parody but moreso a revised wuxxia.]》Chapter Two

Ling Bo stared holes into the air, his arms tightening around Little Xi. It took a dozen minutes and the soft snoring of Lan Xi to wake Ling Bo from his stupor.
This can't be fucking real, can it?
But the question had been answered already, answered by the bold, cerulean-blue words floating in the air.
MC Cheat Sheet?
Ling Bo's mind drew a blank. There was neither a hint nor the faintest idea of what it could be in the recesses of his memories.
Though new 'Ling Bo' could imagine what to expect from a 'MC Cheat Sheet'.
Therefore he reluctantly pressed 'Yes'. And nothing happened.
Ling Bo guessed as much already. So he relaxed, concentrated and with the sheer might of willpower pressed the glowing 'Yes' once again.
Indeed, now it showed response.
The illusory image distorted and soon another bunch of words danced freely in the room.

'Ight, I'm getting batshit crazy.
The only reasonable explanation Ling bo could come up with.
The fall must have been greater than expected. I'd be lucky if it is just a light concussion.
Ling Bo nodded to himself, satisfied with the conclusion and a bit worried about his state of mind. Because, let's face it, this is more unreal than the whole world-transversal watchamacallit.
Yup, totally reasonable.
Though the obstinate letters kept hanging in place, mocking any affront to their grandeur.

As Ling Bo's inner clock kept ticking and the bog surrounding his mind cleared up it slowly seemed unto him that: a) 'He is indeed cray-cray', or: b) 'He is not'. Either of which being terrifying.
Breathing out a tired sigh Ling Bo decided to find out what this ruckus is all about, albeit begrudgingly.
First of he disabled the tooltips, no one needs that! And, who had guessed, ta-dah! The tiny annotations disappeared.
Yup, that this does not weird me out is completely ordinary, yup... yup, yup. Nothing to see here.....
Relinquishing his soliloquy he focused back on the task at hand.
Checking his options from the top to bottom he first openned the 'Martial Shop'.
Ding!
A handful of scrolls unwound themselves from the air, the sky-blue words receeding into the background but present nevertheless, lurking.
Martial Shop:
Consumables Equipment Cultivation
Those were the three main-options of the Martial Shop and Ling Bo perused each and everyone.
Consumables:
Organize by Price/Name
Alchemic Ingredients| Six Winged Lotus (1); Little Madcap (1); Rosebloom Thorn (2); Lilting Lily (5) [...] Enchantment Sets| Novice Set: Black Chalk {1 jin}, Folded Iron {10 jin}, Silk Scripts {20 pages} (10); Advanced Set: [...] Pre-made Remedies| Dragon Force Pill (5); Red Wood Elixir (5); Striped Bone Essence (20); [...] Recipes| Dragon Force Scroll (1); Red Wood Scroll (1); Striped Bone Edict (3); [...]
Ling Bo was showered by a wonderous assortement of novelties, some ingredient only spoken of in legends and other recipes longst forgotten in the sands of time. This, this was a gargantuan treasure trove, one that many a person would kill for.
He gulped down his feverish emotions and choose 'Equipment' next.
Equipment:
Organize by Price/Name
Weaponry| (Tip: A MC can only use the polar extremes of weapons, all of which can not be from modern times. Only weapons below 1 Jin [0.5 kg] or over 2000 Jin [1 ton] can be used.)

Polearms: UL/UH| Swords: UL/UH| Axes: UH| Maces: UH| Hammers: UH| Others: UL/UH
(UL: Ultra-Light| UH: Ultra-Heavy)
Talismans| Physical| Spiritual| Dual| Others Cauldrons| Green Fire (5); Fishscale Ocean (7); Shimmerwind (8); Hades' Left Eye (50); [...]
Simple and orderly. Neat.
From the cost-benefit ratio Ling Bo could safely say, the system is broken.
Take Shimmerwind for example. It is not just an ordinary cauldron, it is so much more.
Owned by the Tempest Lord, Wu Sha (Get it? Wind makes a noise like that...), he used this cauldron to elevate his law of the Wind to a whole 'nother level. It's materials are beyond rare, including -as was passed down by bards and poets- Myriad Dragon scale, Azure Mistwhale baleen, Stormhead Orchid and so on.
Just the scrap metal would be enough to plounder a kingdom's treasury!
Ling Bo peeled his eyes away from the fortune that would soon fall into his lap and eagerly called up the next option: Cultivation. He could hardly wait.
Cultivation:
Organize by Price/Name
Open all 12 Meridians and 8 Heaven Vessels (1000) (Centuples cultivation speed, Onetime, Permanent) Cultivation Manuals| Pysical| Spritual| Dual| Others Dao| Primary: Dao of Battle (100); Dao of Serenity (100); Dao of Valor (100); Dao of Vice (100)
Secondary: Dao of Arms (25); Dao of Favour (25); Dao of Nurture (25); Dao of Destruction (25)
Spiritual Sea| Dub (1); Well (5); Pond (10); Lake (40); Sea (100); Ocean (500); [...] Laws | All Elemental Laws: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Wood, Metal (90)/ Elemental Laws (20 each)
Resumed Chimeric Laws of Fire: Thaw, Magma, Mirage, Red Lightning, Cinders, Liquid Steel (110)/ Chimeric Laws (30 each)
Resumed Chimeric Laws of Water: [...]
Resumed Chimeric Laws of Earth: [...]
[...]
All Chimeric Laws (600)
Resumed Ethereal Laws: Space, Time, Transience, Annihilation, Creation (2000)/ Ethereal Laws (500 each)
All Laws: Lowest Comprehesion (2400)
All Laws: Highest Comprehension (12500)
Even Ling Bo had to swallow hard at the last part, 10000 points would be a huge sum but the gains would likewise be just as great.
He didn't even bother to look further into the weapons, that could be left for another day, instead he fervently skipped through the remaining main options.
Inventory was, as Ling Bo already suspected, empty, functioning much like the myth-enshrouded spatial rings only that its baggage space was endless.
Apropos baggage. As much as Ling Bo enjoyed sitting on the floor with a very cute girl on his lap as much does it hurt in your legs after some time. Gingerly he picked up the darling child and placed her on his haybed. The contrast between the benign and pure girl with the patched drabs and crude 'bed' sent Ling Bo's emotions on a roller coaster. How could he let her live like that, and most likely she had it even worse than him!
Swearing to himself that he will payback Lan Xi's grace a hundred-fold he set foot outside, as a new person, as a better person.

In the Light of His Infernal Fire
"It is said that at the night of Walpurgis, the barrier in between worlds is at its weakest. However, for Kyouko and other Magical Girls at Mitakihara, the situation got out of control much sooner as forces from beyond their universe started to creep in to change their fate forever. Beyond the veil of reality, the Dragon stirs, seeking to increase his growing hoard - not with gold or gems, but with people and worlds. Incubators played with magic and fate for far too long uncontested, and a little Blue Planet may be a new prize in the game." Disclaimer: Puella Magi Madoka Magica crossover with Original Setting. 8 196Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!
8 245Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!
8 80Soul's Curtain
The mortal land bordered by two worlds, one of immortals and the other of ceaselessness. As Illias Finn remains bound within the cell of an abandoned prison the curtain calls its chosen to descend into it's embrace. To be honest I will just write and upload whenever i feel like it, but if i find it getting relative success I can try write a bit more. This will just be a write, read then upload kind of thing for me while i try to flesh out more worldbuilding. I'm pretty novice when it comes to writing just a few years of secondary english under my belt but hardly any of that's creative. NGL, a lot of this world building is inspired by Tower of God or other fiction i have read, especially the tower-like setting.
