Chapter 13- Missing
Back at the Azure compound. Dean had been waiting for Vectre for about twenty minutes in the garden but after waiting for that long. There was still no sign of him coming back.
Worried about his newly made friend. Dean went to look for Vectre. He tried to ask every servant and guards that he could find to check if they had seen Vectre but all of them gave him pretty much the same answer. That no they have not seen the young master at all.
It was now twelve o’clock and soon the young master would need some lunch. So Astrea for the last couple of hours, has been helping the chef in cooking a special meal for the young master and his friend Drake. Finally finishing the preparation. Astrea went to look for them.
Upon meeting Dean and being asked where the young master was she slightly frowned.
“I thought you guys were together?” asked Astrea. Tilting her head in a questioning look.
“We were, almost an hour ago. But he left saying he had something to do and left but I haven’t seen him since then.” Dean replied. Remembering that Vectre was acting weird after hearing his choice on the matter of sneaking out to see if the rumours about the Goblin King was true.
“Oh no.” Dean muttered. Realisation dawned on him.
“He couldn’t have.” He continued. His eyes wide in shock and in fear for his friend’s safety.
“What? What has happened to young master.” Asked Astrea in a cold demanding tone.
Dean then begun telling Astrea what had occurred in the garden before his disappearance. Astrea couldn’t help but gasp.
“IMPOSSIBLE. How could young master be able to sneak out of the compound? There are guards at the entrance and none of them would let the young master stroll out of the compound.”

“Umm. He has awakened his abilities. Remember?” reasoned Dean.
“Yes of course. But I heard he was only capable of summoning enchanted items.” Answered Astrea.
“Maybe he summoned an enchanted item that could make him invisible?”
“That’s impossible but we never know with the young master’s ability. I have to get to the palace and report to Mistress Cher and Master Ryouma.” Said Astrea a sense of urgency can be felt in her voice.
Astrea then dashed towards the compound’s stable and immediately hopped on a flying mount called a Griffon. A flying beast with an eagle’s head, wings and claws and the body of a leopard.
In as single swift motion then begun to lift off the ground and Astrea guiding the Griffon sped up towards the direction of the palace.
Upon arriving at the large castle gate. She was hailed by the guards to come down but she simply flew over, causing the guards to pelt her with arrows but Astrea cast a barrier on herself, protecting her from the arrows as they cannot even make a dent on the barrier that she had erected on herself.
In a large luxurious room somewhere inside the palace. Where the five generals, King Julius and Cher the Crimson Witch could be seen discussing about a matter of grave importance when suddenly the commotion outside interrupted them.
Furious as to who had the audacity to disrupt such an important meeting. They ran outside. Only to see a woman in a maid uniform riding on a Griffon and heading towards where they are.
“Astrea what’s going on? Why have you come here?” asked the Crimson Witch.
Upon landing. Astrea immediately knelt on the floor and bowed her head in respect to the large powers in the Cloud Kingdom.
“Forgive this lowly servant from interrupting you like this Mistress Cher, You’re majesty, Master Ryouma and the rest of the Generals. But it’s about the young mast-.”
Before Astrea could finish, Cher interrupted her and demanded to know what happened to Vectre.
With a grave look “He’s missing.” Astrea answered with a pained voice.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.

The Tale of A Fortunate Slave
In the world of Valeria, The capital of The Kingdom of Albert is besieged and yet our story dose not begin in a stronghold or castle. Our protagonist is not strong or powerful, quite the opposite in fact, she is a ex-slave. An ex-slave that got "lucky" in a way that some fear and despise while others enjoy and like her. This is the story of the quite Ash the slave turned personal servant of the daemon princess Lucy Darkheart. This is very much a work in progress so please understand if there's any mistakes or errors. Not only that but I am a novice so that kind of thing is to be expected. Thank you! Edit: Updates are whenever I make one or two new chapters so expect them to be as inconstant as a dragons fire breath. *Tags and Genres may be added as the story progresses. I have a Twitter now cause it would not stop bugging me when I wanted to look at news for a game, the link is here, https://twitter.com/JustAPhoenix2 . I don't know if it works or not on the edit screen, but you can copy/paste it anyway. I may do stuff there like give insight to some of the more trivial parts of the characters lives. (That refers to ALL character, not just Ash.)
