"Slave Contract?" When Hein heard the shop manager's words, he was bewildered.
Contrary to Hein's reaction, Fale immediately paled when she heard it.
Is that working or business contract or something?
"Yes, Slave Contract. We cast a curse that will kill the slave should they ever betray you or hurt you. In that ..."
"No need."
The shop manager was explaining when he was cut off by Hein.
Die for disobedience? Isn't that taking one's freedom away!
Truthfully, Hein was very disgusted.
As a citizen of a peaceful modern world, slavery is something he can't fathom.
There might be some people who have such taste back in the real world but for him, this kind of evil way to subdue a person was very disgusting and unforgivable.
"But with this ..."
"This king had already stated! This king doesn't need that!"
Hein was now irritated. As if he will allow himself to fall that low.
Behind him was Fale who was left dumbfounded by Hein's actions.
What she believes was that, all nobles were really disgusting and evil creatures.
They were more evil than demons. She heard that when all the nobles bought a slave, they will always cast the slave contract taking away the slaves freedom, making them do many indecent and unforgivable things.
But this masked noble actually refused it!
Should she be happy about it or not? Fale wondered.
With nothing he can do, the shop manager reluctantly agreed.
In the first place, casting a slave contract is dependent on the owner. If he don't want it, then don't~
Hein and the others slowly walked towards the shop's exit to leave.
On the way, Fale didn't say anything, she only keep on looking at the masked noble, observing whether this man is really good or just pretending to be good.
When they were about to leave the door, Hein suddenly caught something in his ear.
"I want to go out! Let me out or else I'm going to kill all of you!!"
There was a loud voice.
"Demon, shut up or else I will beat you to death!"
Another voice which was very resonant and rough, shouted.
Hearing this exchange, Hein who was leaving stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at the place where the exchange came from.
Noticing Hein, the shop manager somewhat embarrassed said, "I apologize for the inconvenience. There were some untamed slaves in there so ..."
"Is the demon the voice referring... from the demon race?"
"Ah, yes... Along the way through here, we somehow encountered a demon child and successfully captured it.

Although it came with a price... over ten of our men was killed by the demon child." The shop manager bitterly said while shaking his head.
Hearing this, Hein immediately ordered, "Take this king there. This king wanted to take a look."
Don't tell me ... no, that can't be. That princess should have successfully escape.
The shop manager seemed shock but he immediately nod his head.
Why not? In his eyes Hein is a very influential and powerful person. If he can somewhat carry some favor, in the future that would be very good.
He really didn't thought that his fate had already been sealed a long time ago.
With his fudgy feet, he immediately led Hein and the others towards the place where the demon was imprisoned.
The shop manager hesitated a bit but then he still opened the door.
"Huh...?"
The interior was dimly lit with a faintly necrotic odor hanging in the air.
Because of the strong, beastly smell, Hein could easily tell that the environment wasn't clean.
The girls behind Hein couldn't help but groan in disgust and displeasure, the smell for a young girl was just too unbearable.
Now he understands why the shop manager hesitated for a bit before opening, it's because of the foul smell.
"What's with this stinky smell? No wonder the shop manager is ugly and stinky!" A voice resounded behind Hein.
Of course, it's not Ashley and Iona who just endure it by making a funny face, it's the strong willed girl; Fale who cutely pinched her cute nose while waving her hand in front of her.
The shop manager who heard her just awkwardly scratches his head while bitterly smiling.
No one knows what he is thinking but he just couldn't rebuked or hurt the slave girl because of Hein.
He suspected that Hein and the slave girl have some kind of relationship so he only endured it without saying anything.
The one whose very pleased of Fale's words was no other than Hein who tried very hard to endure not laughing and raising his thumbs up... he suppressed it with his life, he didn't want his appearance to crumble in front of this villain pig and it was extremely hard for him to hold it in.
He silently turned around and faced Fale who trembled when she saw Hein's actions.
She thought maybe he will beat her now or slap her mouth.
She really didn't expect him to only put his hands in her shoulders and she noticed that his whole body was trembling.

She also heard a small laugh from his mask before turning around again.
Fale was left dumbfounded... did this guy just laughed because of her?
She really couldn't understand this masked man.
She thought that all nobles where very bad but it seems this guy is really different.
Calming his sudden urged to laugh, Hein started look around. He saw a cage and checked what was inside when
"Grrrr... GRAR!
It's not human.
Inside the cage was a partially resembled human with fur, fangs and claws.
"This is a beastman... a humanoid monster to be exact. It came from the wolfman race." The shop manager explained.
Ignoring the shop manager, Hein continued walking forward.
They walked through the cage filled with various slaves for several minutes. After passing the chaotic area into one which was less noisy, Hein saw some decrepit youths and elderly with forlorn faces.
Seeing all this, Hein's hate in slavery deepens.
Just how can human do this kind of unforgivable things?... no, is it because they are human that they can do this?
After walking a bit more, the shop manager finally stopped. In front of him was a huge bronze door.
After the shop manager opened the door, Hein noticed a big cage inside the huge room. Inside the cage was apparently a fifteen - sixteen years old youngster who looked very feminine and girly.
Its hands and feet were restrained by thick iron chains.
The demon was chained up by four iron chains connected to a four iron balls as big as a basketball.
The demon brandished the chains, with the vitality and vigor of a beast, shaking the whole iron cage.
Whether the demon is a girl or boy, one couldn't know when seeing its disorderly and dirty appearance and its fiery short hair was dyed with dirt however, Hein knew that the demon is a girl because of his [ Divine Vision ].
But what caught Hein's attention was the small horn that was curving upward in her right head.
Because of this, even without his [ Divine Vision ], Hein knew that this demon is from the one horned Crimson Demon Clan just like the princess in the other Hero's memories.
The demon seeing the door opened started struggling with the chains.
She glared towards Hein with her blood shot eyes as if they wanted to swallow someone alive.
The shop manager was a bit hesitant but he then began to carry out a conversation.
"This demon was very strong and very terrifying. At that time, while capturing it we lost many good men and beasts"
Hearing his words, Hein couldn't help but cursed in his mind, 'What good men! More like savage beasts!'
"What do you mean good men?! Don't you mean perverts and pigs? Hey, mask pervert don't listen to this old pig your ears will fall off. Hmpf!"
Although Hein couldn't curse but the slave girl; Fale could.
She began insulting the shop manager. The shop manager's face began heating up and he glared at Fale who immediately pretend to be scared and clutched Hein's clothes while hiding behind him.
Seeing this, the shop manager immediately calms his anger. He snorted and began ignoring her.
Hein on the other hand was pleased with Fale and couldn't help but gently stroke Fale's head as if stroking a scared rabbit.
Ashley behind them frowned upon seeing her actions but she didn't say anything.
Hein had no way of figuring out what this girl was thinking. Before she was acting bossy and hated him but then in the next second, she acts as if she was his friend or family.
Although he guessed that this girl was just taking her revenge to the shop manager while making him her shield, he didn't rebuked her and even treated her gently.
He could really see his childhood love through this girl, so cunning and vengeful.
However, what Hein find funny was Iona.
When Fale hide behind him while acting like a spoiled child, Iona also quickly swam over and hugged his thigh tightly, using those big sapphire eyes to look at him pitifully as if she was very jealous of Fale getting spoiled and not her.
Her gaze was really unbearable.
"Release me! You despicable humans! My parents will kill you if you don't release me!" The demon girl roared.
"How much is this one?" Hein ignored the roaring demon girl and asked the shop manager.
"I will not become a slave! I will not!... release me!" The demon girl once again roared loudly.
"One hundred gold coi..."
"What!? One hundred gold coins! It would be better if you just went ahead and stole from us!"
The boss hadn't finished speaking when Fale the girl who couldn't shut her mouth cried out.
She then turned her head and faced Hein and said, "Forget this, let's go home now. One hundred is a very large amount of money, they might as well become a thief!"
Hein couldn't really understand this girl. Her change of behavior is really too magical.

8 78Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
