Chapter 9 – Goblin Floor Part 2
Footsteps can now be heard in the eighth floor of Bastion of Okus Dungeon. The ruckus was several goblins outfitted with blade and short sword, and was chasing after somebody. A hairless green man wearing a stone gauntlets and boots. Some piece of his skin was like a translucent liquid of a slime, and the rest was smooth green skin of a goblin. He was running around all over the floor, jumping from a wall to another doing aerobatic stunts while casting his skills at the goblins.

*Gyah!* *Uff!* *Ahkk!* A lot of goblins are now dying here and there.
"Hahaha, this body sure is amazing, super speed, super strength, and specially magic. I never had this much fun in my life."
When I got to this floor a goblin with a sword all of a sudden attacked me, resulting of it being dead, a goblin saw his brethren was killed then blew a horn calling a crowd of Goblin Swordsman and Goblin Thief. I kinda panic so I run, and begin greeting them with a few, Stone Bullets and Stone Lance.
*UGHHKKAA* as the last goblin drop dead to the stone floor.
“ARRRGGHH! Why did I panic? TSSS I didn’t have the chance to 「Devour」 even a single goblin at this floor.” *Sigh*
I scratch at my head and I was somewhat frantic and disappointed. It was a repulsive feeling having no hair anyplace and of course being balb . I utilized my 「Water Magic」, and gather moisture from the air, in no time a huge bubble of water was presently before me, then I sprinkle it to myself.
"AHHH! What a reviving feeling, I hope there are soap in this world when I escape from this dungeon.”
I gathered all the monster core from the goblin, furthermore the swords and blade. Most of the weapons were full of rust, and a couple was fairly alright. A thought got into my mind, if I can 「Devour」 rock and ingest it to be a piece of my body, I'm certain metal will be the same. I begin to devour all of the weapons that have little rust in it. I change my liquefied body to be more acidic to quickly softening the metal. I sat at a corner and observe as the metal was gradually dissolving within me. I was similar to a magician's box that was penetrated by swords and knives.

“ARRGGHH, finally it was done. It got me like 3 hours to dissolve everything.”
I need to level up my「Devour」 skill so I can eat faster more metal, because I have plans when that happens. Then something appeared in front of me!

I was concerned at first as my 「Holy Guard」 ability was being damaged by the poison and it just takes a couple of minutes to eat up all of the points it have, 3 points every second. It a good thing that I have a high Vitality, when my Hp was being damaged my recovery was quick and the poison was just nothing. "What a relief."
On that day I continued my hunt for the goblin and their weapons. What I did was slaughtered a single goblin, then another goblin will alert the other goblins, making it easy for me to kill them. I made a huge secret storage in the walls and store all the weapons that I've assembled. A single day for devouring goblins and rank up my 「Devour」 skill and storing the weapons, the next day was for consuming the weapon as it required a long time to dissolve within me. Furthermore, I do this routine again and again.

It was the eighth day and this will be the last day for me in staying at this floor. I was lying on the floor and dissolving the last bit of sword, I can now break down a metal for around 15 to 20 minutes.Upon being poisoned all the time, my body evolved and made an ability to resist poisons. I was checking at my status and I didn't gain any level, just stats and rank up a few ability. "Well it's difficult to level up if the level gap was too much."

I crush through the sealed wall that was the entrance to my secret stockpile. "Ahhh!! At long last the last bit of metal was dissolved." I took a look at my hands and feet, my stone hand and feet were presently made of metal, and I'm certain that my bones were the same. It was presently a smooth, not at all like the stone with an unpleasant surface.

I fist pump in happiness and was similar to a kid having a new toy to play with. I tested and made a full body iron armor. I'm not creative so I made the armor similar to a dragons scale; I included a few outlines like a monster's head to both of my shoulders and boots, a few claws to my elbows and knees, and some different subtle elements. I made the armor tight and include some elastic substance at the gap of the joints, so I wouldn’t cause too much noise when I move. I additionally added the same elastic material to the boots out-sole, to minimize the sound when walking. After I'm done making my armor another notice showed up.

Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point.
