Author note: Complete title is; "My dog isn't arrogant which should be fixed, the arrogant part not the dog. the dog definitely shouldn't be fixed. Definitely."

Quick reminder; Body forming->ki purification->spirit gathering so first-body into first-ki into first-spirit

Also, it was surprising typing this chapter out as I truly didn't think it would even be close to long enough for a good chapter. I had planned to include everything below and then some, but ran out of space. over 2.3k words and I hadn't even gotten CLOSE to where I wanted to this chapter. The surprising part was how easy it was to get lost in typing it out and just continue going with it and then boom already done. Enjoy the extra long chapter and I'll be back next week!

"What did I see? Your mother! If you hadn't been here I would have come to find you!"

Dian Po's eyes began to slightly glisten and he murmured to himself "m-m-mother..."

Dian Po's family had been incredibly misfortunate and incurred a large amount of debt. In order for them to pay the debt Dian Po had sold himself to the third prince when he was a young child. He had been unable to see or hear from his family since the start of his slavery as the distance between the palace district and the outer district was the distance between the heavens and earth.

Had Sun Jiao known this perhaps he would have been reluctant to continue, but only Xiaobo knew about Dian Po's situation and he didn't think it was necessary to bother mentioning it.

"However creative this insult may have been, I gotta remove it. Please dont break the beastiality rules. -RR staff"

Dian Po's was in shock, his face had paled and with a cough; blood came out of the side of his mouth. Sun Jiao's next words drove the point home both figuratively and in Dian Po's case literally.

"The funny thing is I don't think the people paying her were the ones that were most upset. The one that really looked upset was the donk-"

Sun Jiao didn't even have a chance to finish his insult before Dian Po flew into a rage. A pressure exploded as Dian Po pulled out the power of his Will and Ki. The pressure caused Sun Jiao significant discomfort as he hadn't figured out how to defend himself from it. With a cough blood filled his mouth and he forced himself to keep it from coming out. A first-spirit user could stand in front of a second-body without any issue, but only if they circulated their Will and Ki into their body.

Dian Po didn't hesitate or even notice Sun Jiao's reaction to the pressure and instead jumped forward to attack.

He was allowed one step before Sun Qing took action and it would be the last step of his life. Like a fairy she floated past Sun Jiao and landed lightly in front of Dian Po. Color left her body turning it grey with a hint of a ghastly green. Her beautiful body began to blur before disappearing completely leaving only a wisp of smoke the shape of her body. The smoke passed through Dian Po causing the pressure to disappear instantly along with the light in his eyes. His body continued another step before coming to a halt and it stood in front of Sun Jiao completely lifeless. The smoke reformed a ways behind where Dian Po stood. The form took an appearance that looked to be a more complete form of Sun Qing's body, but remained colorless and undefined. Her hand was extended in front of her clutching a small black spirit that fought to break free from her grasp.

All this took time to explain, but it happened in the blink of an eye.

Her form returned to normal with the black spirit still in her right hand. Bringing it close to her adorable face she examined it while using her free hand to pull out a slip of black paper shaped in a rectangle with faded-gold mystic seals. She then brought the seal behind the struggling spirit and tightened her right hand shattering the spirit into tiny soul fragments which she then blew into the seal.

The scene reminded Sun Jiao of a little girl blowing the seeds of a dandelion.

As the soul was absorbed into the seal the symbols glowed becoming more pronounced. With a smile she turned around and walked in front of the lifeless body. Standing on her tiptoes she gently placed the seal on Dian Po's forehead so that the long end of the paper fell across his face. The glow of the seals faded but didn't completely disappear. Dian Po's eyes turned grey and a shadow passed over them, but his body remained motionless.

"Go inside and join the others."

As the corpse doll complied Sun Qing turned to Sun Jiao.

"Brother that was very interesting. I've never heard you talk like that before. Were you provoking him? You must have been. What should we do about third sister over there?"

At this she turned her head to the shadow that had been hiding in the bushes. The bushes shook and a young girl jumped out.

She looked younger than Sun Qing, but was a head taller and looked as though she were a boy. Her short hair was cut without much thought and she wore shorts and a shirt rather than a pretty dress. Despite a boyish figure and style her face was still pretty and looked similar to Sun Qing.

"H-h-h-how did you know I was there? You're senses have improved big sis!"

Both Sun Jiao and Sun Qing were speechless. Moments ago just before Dian Po attacked loud laughter had come from the bushes and it sounded as though there had been no attempt to stifle it. Before they could reply the young girl continued.

"Actually I let you discover me since you had passed the test! Next time I won't be so easily discovered so you best watch out!"

She threw a ball on the ground that flashed and poofed into a cloud of smoke. As the smoke cleared Sun Jiao saw her running figure off in the distance.

Sun Qing giggled then turned to look at Sun Jiao with a tilt of her head as if questioning what to do next.

Sun Jiao appeared to take his time thinking, but his mind was racing figuring out what he wanted to say. Stalling he turned back to the carriage as if checking on Xu Rong and back to Sun Qing.

He'd watched a lot of movies and before he started dating his ex he read several comics with conceited villains so he had an idea of how he should act. With his thoughts in order he worked up the courage and got into character.

After first looking at Sun Qing he turned his head slowly and spit out the mouthful of blood which caused Sun Qing to react with a look of surprise. Turning back to face her he spoke as if he didn't notice.

"I think I've given them enough of a head start don't you?"

Sun Qing's hair had turned a green yellow and the color deepened, but she said nothing.

"It's time I took things seriously. I'm going into closed door training for a while. Do not disturb me."

Sun Qing was speechless. Since his mother died he hadn't trained at all and instead relied on his natural growth to reach the peak of the first layer. She then processed the words he said before about giving them a headstart and his actions all made sense.

'Of course if he trained he would definitely become incredibly strong! He is my brother after all! How confident must he have been to go so long without training! It was all an act! I knew brother is the best! I KNEW IT!'

She had already dedicated her life to supporting her brother, but at this moment she vowed to redouble her efforts. Nothing could ever be as important to her as her brother was at this moment. Her hair was flickering as she couldn't control her emotions and tears of happiness began to flow from her eyes.

Sun Jiao saw her take a step forward so he steeled himself with the thought that stopping her would make her even more happy and raised his hand.

"I don't have time." Then without turning "Xu Rong."

Xu Rong had been hiding in the carriage hoping they would forget her, so hearing her name caused her to jump. Timidly she stepped out of the carriage and approached the two.

"Yes master?"

"Come here. Stand in front of me."

As she hurried to obey; Sun Jiao thought of the next point he was going to make and how he would word it. He knew she was the reliable companion Xiaobo had mentioned, but at this moment her lack of confidence and fear did not make her seem reliable. He had to instill confidence in her, but couldn't do so without showing weakness. He could ask Xiaobo, but he'd probably just end up calling him a pussy and not helping.

Sun Jiao also knew that he had to start learning this or he'd run into trouble in the future.

Xu Rong stood in front of him with her head down. She had pulled her ponytail over the right shoulder and was stroking it in an attempt to calm herself.

Reaching out he placed his finger under her chin and raised it so that she was looking at him.

Choosing his words carefully he started with a question;

"Who do you belong to?"

"Ah, you master."

Knowing she wouldn't answer correctly the first time Sun Jiao pretended to give a heavy sigh of frustration.

"That's not the answer I'm looking for. Who am I?"

"Oh. Umm the second prince Sun Jiao?"

Furrowing his brow he increased the anger in his voice.

"Was that a question? Do you not know who I am?"

"No! I mean yes I know who you are. Everyone knows how great the second prince Sun Jiao is."

"That's right. I'm the greatest man that would ever live. Do you agree?"

Xu Rong had no problem biting back the words she wanted to say and instead agreed even if she thought it was the biggest lie she ever told.

"Yes! You're the greatest and the best!"

"The next greatest would naturally be my sister because she is close to me correct?"

This lie was much easier for Xu Rong as Sun Qing was famous for being a prodigy of prodigies. Xu Rong had heard that she could fight evenly against both the first prince and princess if she went all out.

"Of course master!"

"Then who is the third closest to me and thus the third greatest in the world?"

Xu Rong tightened the grip on her hair. She had already angered Sun Jiao twice and was afraid to make him even angrier. Sun Qing had spoke a lot about her brother in the carriage and none of it had been about how patient he was. It had mostly been about how he enjoyed spending his time and how good he was at it. He didn't enjoy spending his time volunteering for charity. Quite the opposite actually.

He enjoyed torturing those that displeased him; often people he considered trash that he saw in the streets.

Sun Jiao had been hoping she would say she didn't know so he took a moment to think of how to answer if she didn't say anything. Thinking, not having been something the body was used to, caused his face to appear even more frustrated and angry.

This caused Xu Rong to panic and her hands began to shake as she couldn't come up with an answer.

Not noticing Sun Jiao decided how to change what he wanted to say and couldn't help but tease her a bit.

"Good. If you don't know an answer you should not lie to me or guess. Though it is an easy question as all you have to do is look around to see who is the third closest to me."

Xu Rong opened her eyes wide with surprise and looked around frantically for the person he was talking about, but could only see a curious Sun Qing and Sun Jiao. Her eyes returned to her feet and she spoke up with a feeble voice;

"I don't see anyone else master."

"I'm talking about you. You agree that I am the greatest and that Sun Qing is the second greatest. Then my dog should surely be the third greatest right? My shoes are the greatest shoes because they belong to me. You are the greatest because you belong to me. It's simple."

Xu Rong's hands fell to her side and she froze like a deer in headlights. She had never thought she was important and at best hoped to live her life as a slave in the coliseum. When she had been given to the evil prince she believed she would face a fate far worse than death. Now he had just told her that she was the third greatest person in the world. The shock had completely fried her brain and all thoughts about what she had said before being lies disappeared like leaves in the wind. She had always wanted more for her life than just being a slave, but had never even hoped for it. Her clan had been destroyed before she could remember and she had been raised as a slave so now with a sliver of hope in front of her she reached out and clung to it; desperate to believe the words he said were true.

Side story;

BK couldn't die just from a single foot attack! He was the KING and no one could stop the king! OH NO! What's this? A deadly demon spider is attacking the king? What a pinch! CHOMP CHOMP go BK's pincers as if to say "I WILL NOT GO WITHOUT A FIGHT!" The spider lunges and is caught in the pincers. How ironic that the spider is now in a pinch!
