《Arrogance is justice!?》Chapter 7- I didn't mean to be THAT arrogant!

The carriage came to a stop and Sun Jiao stepped out with a slight sweat. He wiped his brow and looked back at the carriage that contained a Sun Qing who was sleeping now on her side of the cabin.
'Somehow I think that wasn't what Xiaobo meant by getting hands on. To think she'd faint just because I gave her hug. Her brother must never give her any attention so even a little bit caused her brain to short circuit. or should I say fry? boil? Whichever it is I think I should put some effort into avoiding earth terms.'
Finishing that thought Sun Jiao then reflected on what exactly happened just moments ago.
After Sun Qing had froze her face had turned red and she immediately passed out. Sun Jiao held onto her until the carriage stopped as it would have been awkward to place her down in the moving vehicle. The distance to the coliseum hadn't been far from the fight so it hadn't become uncomfortable.
'Should I wake her or go inside without her. What would her brother do?'
With that thought Sun Jiao quickly turned and walked towards the coliseum, but slowed his step as he finally noticed the crowd waiting to go in. His hesitation was only for a moment though as he remembered Xiaobo's advice.
As Sun Jiao approached the crowd began to whisper and move out of his way. One unfortunate fellow was oblivious though and had continued talking to his friends despite their surprised face. Thankfully the fellow noticed just before Sun Jiao would be required to take action as Sun Jiao hadn't yet decided what the appropriate action would be. Not so thankfully the man decided to do his best to embarrass Sun Jiao by throwing himself on the ground.
"Sorry to offend I should have moved immediately. I didn't intend on not giving you face. Please forgive me. I will slap myself 100 times to show my respect." The man begged and began to slap his own face again and again.
'Well this is new. Also, incredibly awkward. Do I have to wait for him to finish? Should I count and make sure it's exactly 100?'
As quick as Sun Jiao's thoughts were he hadn't made a any meaningful progress on what his decision would be by the time the man got a quarter of the way through his 100 slaps.

Deciding that any further hesitation would force him to stand here and wait for the man to finish and that he should do whatever he wanted he walked away, but not without giving a snort of disdain.
Satisfied with his decision Sun Jiao continued walking until he noticed the man had slowed his slaps a significant amount.
'Shit that might be a sign of disrespect here. It is right? It has to be. If I turn around now though it will make me indecisive. I need to think of something quick. Kill him? No I can't do that. It's just a couple of slaps. I need to do something though.'
Noticing a guard Sun Jiao relaxed.
'I'll get him to watch the man and make sure he finishes slapping himself.'
"You there." Sun Jiao said in a tone that he thought Xiaobo would approve of, but sounded a bit over the top in his own opinion.
The guard noticeably jumped and his face quickly drained of blood. Slowly he raised a hand and pointed at himself without saying a word.
"Yes, you. That man has offended me. See that his punishment is finished."
The guard quickly felt relieved that it was a reasonable request. "YES SIR!"
With a slight nod Sun Jiao continued on very pleased with himself even allowing an ever so tiny smile to appear.
The crowd however saw the upturned lips and shivered. On Sun Jiao's face it was a cruel and twisted smile.
Just before entering the smile faded as he heard the guards next words a slight distance away.
"YOU CLEARLY DO NOT KNOW WHO THAT IS! THAT IS THE SECOND PRINCE HOW DARE YOU NOT GIVE HIM FACE!!"
"no...I am! I am! See I am!"
"KILL YOURSELF NOW!"
"but but I..."
"YOU DARE?"
After that there was a brief sound of a sword being drawn and scream that sent a shiver down Sun Jiao's spine.
'FUCK. I only wanted the guard to make sure he slapped himself... why the fuck did he kill him?'
While trying to calm himself down his thoughts were interrupted as a large disgusting looking man approached him while wringing his hands and lowering his head over and over. Deciding to ignore what had just happened at the entrance Sun Jiao listened to the obese man in front of him who had just started to speak.

"Greetings Young Master. I am so glad to have you grace this lowly coliseum with your presence! I hope that you can forgive us for any inadequacy and we will do our best to entertain. In fact to show you our appreciation I have a gift for you!"
With a sharp clap a young women stepped forward with her head bowed and a nervous look on her face. On earth the women would have been considered a beauty, but Sun Jiao, having seen the truly beautiful Sun Qing, couldn't bring himself to call the women standing before him one.
'She's attractive, but the word beauty should be reserved for Sun Qing'
She was wearing a soft green gown that was tied at the waist with an emerald ribbon matching Sun Jiao's green trim and her auburn hair was pulled back in a ponytail that fell to her waist.
The first thing Sun Jiao noticed though was that the gown began to open up just above the young lady's belt ribbon, but the cut remained narrow as it approached the neck. The white and unblemished skin that was visible showed a pair of medium sized breasts which, if they were ever so larger, would be accurately described as ample.
The next thing Sun Jiao noticed was her cute and worried face. It was young, but had matured a bit so he placed her age around 17 or 18. There wasn't a hint of arrogance in her eyes, in fact Sun Jiao noticed that they seemed a little dull as if she had lost hope.
The Fat man continued after giving Sun Jiao a moment to look. "She may not be very attractive and she's rather dumb, but she's obedient and comes from a clan that had some strength so her talent for cultivating isn't lacking."
The man grew a lecherous grin making his ugly face even more unpleasant.
"She's also untouched and should have a high tolerance for pain. Of course if you find her unsatisfactory we can find you another gift. Perhaps a medical pill or a piece of jewelry for your sister? Do not worry about her though we will certainly make sure she dies untouched as no one would dare to touch a gift given to you; even if it was refused."
Sun Jiao noticed the girl's clenched hands began to shiver but otherwise remained completely still.
'Somehow I don't think that means she'll be well taken care of to eventually die of old age. Maybe she's the reliable ally, but if I accept her then she serves me and that doesn't really have anything to do with hands on hint that Xiaobo gave me. No harm in saying yes though I can always free her later. He seems to think she isn't worth very much though so maybe I shouldn't seem too eager.'
"She's acceptable."
Expecting her to feel relief the girl surprised Sun Jiao and looked even more worried. Her eyes began to water, but she clenched her shivering hands as tightly as possible and suppressed her urge to cry.
'Shit. Maybe they were going to take care of her and she'd be set for life. I just fucked that up. Maybe I should give her back. I can't be indecisive though..."
"Excellent! She's yours then, treat her however you like. If you wish we can dispose of her if you have finished with her before you leave."
'Dispose of her? Finish with her? What the hell does this creep expect I'm going to do? On second thought I probably don't want to know.'
The man did his best impression of a very very large seal and clapped his hands again. The clapping caused his accurately named "ample" jowls to shake. That, coupled with with his horrible attitude to towards the girl, caused Sun Jiao to be thoroughly disgusted.
"My na..name is Xu Rong. I will... can...I would be ple-pleased to lead you to your usual viewing room."
The girl's right hand clenched her gown and her left hand waved towards a hallway as her noticeably shaken voice coincided with the gesture.
"I will *sniff* be happy to serve you."
Poor Xu Rong. Given away to an evil prince one can only sympathize with her tragic story. I was originally going to have her be just a normal serving girl and cause some issue that forced him to kill her or buy her, but I figured a coward blob of a man would have wanted to keep the normally short tempered prince happy with a gift. Also, thought it would be good to have her be useful and a somewhat strong ally.
So now she'll be able to live a happy life as the prince's closest and most trusted friend! EH??? SUN QING WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? WHY DO YOU HAVE A KNIFE? YOU DIDN'T LET ME FINISH!!! >.> or not :P
