Author's Note:
Hello guys. First of all I want to tell you that due to my previous work having a resemblance to Mushoku Tensei, I decided to scrap the original content and write a new one.

PROLOGUE
Outer space; the final frontier for mankind.
It took a lot of effort and time to finally realize our ancestor's long awaited dream.
From there, we began to expand across the galaxy.
Exploring new worlds, changing the habitats of some planets to match to our own, populated nearby star systems, and creating new innovative technologies that would help us in our search for new wisdom and understandings.
But outer space is not for the weak heart.
Why did I say this?
I think it's very understandable.
There are many unprecedented anomalies and events lurking in this vast darkness.
Cosmic radiation, engine failures, super massive black holes, among any others.
And there's competitors.
Dozens of them.
One of this 'competitive players' in the game of interstellar expansion are the Lorax.
The sole humanoid civilization from the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant to achieve interstellar flight capabilities, they are one of the first races to developed a working warp drive reactor.
We called them the Pioneers.
If there's one fact that every technological advanced species knew about them, it's that they are very aggressive and are power mongers.
And they hate us Solarians, they hate us humans.
Why?
I've got no clue either but most experts on our side agree that they feared us.
Us younger generations of space exploration pioneers because of the speed of our expansion and technological growth.
The technologies that took them fifty years to create only took us three to five years to complete.
With this fact alone, it seems that in terms of technological prowess we're superior.
Another thing is the morals and ideologies that are present in our advance society.

Unlike them who slaves other civilizations that are inferior to them, we on the other hand helped this underdeveloped worlds by guiding them to the right path even taking the mantle of protecting this worlds.
They use might.
We use diplomacy.
Because of this a rift between both our species had emerged.
------
After a hundred and two years of cold relationship between two parties , we reached an agreement.
A reconciliation between the Lorax Imperial Monarchy and Solarian Federation was reached.
In our end it was a victory that should be celebrated.
After experiencing three world wars, two interplanetary wars and one interstellar war, we hated the notion of resolving conflicts by war itself.
The President of the Federation, together with us, the crew of SFS-58Z Voyager were very confident that the other people involve would hold true to their words.
We were very confident. After all it was just peace talks.
It was a grave mistake.
The Lorax outwitted us.
The notion of establishing a non-aggressive pact between the two was a just a farce.
The truth was that they wanted to annihilate us from the very beginning.
And since we who advocated the dialogue of peaceful expansion only brought a handful of military battleships, we were outnumbered.
They assassinated the President and the Foreign Minister in a whim and launched out an all out attack against us.
Even the neutral factions that were attending the summit as observers were also slaughtered.
Which currently led us to my situation.
A shot from a beam cannon took down our engine.
As a part of the ship's Engineer and Mechanic Department, I headed directly towards the engine room.
We need to fixed the damaged warp coils so that we could escape from this horrible predicament.
I don't want to die in this situation, in this unknown place.

I'm still too young and a virgin. There are many things that I still wanted to do.
I want to have married life.
I want to have kids and grandchildren.
I want to see the faces of my loved ones again.
That's why I don't wanna die here.
"Not today!"
As I approached the door, I found myself bathe in an extreme red incandescence.
I felt my body being toasted inside a toaster or on a grill.
I could feel my life fading in a fast pace like a ticking clock.
Damn, beam shot. You're so mean.
------
After that incident, I found myself in this weird and eerie place.
Darkness. All around was just pure pitch black. Everything.
Where am I? Is this the purgatory or the after life?
I wasn't sure myself.
Ah, what am I thinking?
Even how much effort I put into it, there's no point.
I'm dead anyways, so let's just move on.
I decided to walk straight forward, without any goals in my head.
What's the point? I can't be revive. There's no such things as reincarnations.
It's only a belief. Not a scientific fact.
Hmm? What's that?
I saw something weird from a far away distance.
As the distance between us lessened, I could make up the figure in front me.
The figure was somewhat similar to a four year old kid.
What is a kid doing in such a place like this?
Could this mean that he's also dead like me? If that's the case then this means I would not be alone in this shit hole anymore.
We finally met each other face to face as we stopped both in front.
As I looked at him, he looked back at me. His childish azure eyes against my adult black eyes.
I felt a spark as our eyes met. As if are souls are connected.
I could see myself in him as if he could see himself in me.
Without any reason I reached my hand to him.
He also reached his hand to mine.
As both our hands touch, I felt pain, shivering and quivering all over my body.
Then a bright light came in front of me.

So I'm a cat, what now?
It seems I've reincarnated into a fantasy world as a cat. What now? This is my first publically published story, and I would love feedback in any form as I have no idea how well the quality of my writing holds up. This story will have light litRPG elements, though I won't dig into numbers much, since I don't enjoy fiddling with them. The tone will be generally light, and I willl probably try to throw some comedy in there as well. The beginning will be Slice of Life, and unless I come up with a longer plot that I like it will stay that way.

Smoking Bandits
With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****
