《From Max to Zero to God》Chapter 84 - The Auction Begins

“How did you even meet Chen Liang?” Ye Qing whispered to Han Ling, to which the latter grumbled, “The Sharp Peaks, he was also at the Chance of Fate. I saved his ass from a den of apes.”
“And he followed you just after that???” Ye Qing found it incredulous, a young man with a powerful backing just bending to the will of a random cultivator? That was impossible…
Well, that’s what Han Ling explained… but in fact, it was because Chen Liang thought Han Ling was an angel from heaven.
It was his mistake, impatience forced him to go through the Chance of Fate using his wings, and fortunately it was Chen Liang who saw him. He was thankful Chen Liang was a weirdo, things may get troublesome…
It was then the crowd below suddenly got louder and Han Ling leaned forward slightly to see Lady Ping stood on the stage, wearing a beautiful lavish dress.
“Welcome to the Auction House of the Mythic Pavilion, I am delighted to start this event with an interesting set of items provided by an unknown individual.”
With that the Auction had started.
A little surprised, Han Ling’s 9 items were sold first, that didn’t mean it was bad, but it was something placed as a standard of what’s to come.
“But I was not expecting it to go this high…”
Yesterday, Lady Ping had told Han Ling that the actual worth of the 9 items were only 75 thousand spirit stones, but currently the price of his items rocketed to 125 thousand spirit stones, it’s a big increase.
But an even bigger surprise occurred…
“I really have to thank All-Seeing Void… Its really a godsend skill…” Han Ling was inwardly crying from happiness, outwardly displaying a bored expression when his eyes were sparkling with purple glitters.
[You have learned Qi Technique: Dual Flow.]
[You have learned Heaven Technique: Air Barrier]
[You have learned Heaven Technique: Frosty Mist]
“The All-Seeing Void is OP!!!!”
With just a glance, he learned all the techniques that came out of the auction, didn’t even needing to be close to it. “This skill really is terrifying…” Han Ling activated his eyes again and again, gobbling up every single technique on the auction.

“Here is the Sage Technique…”
“Mine.”
“The rare Sage Technique…!”
“Also, mine.”
“The very rare Sage technique…”
“Very rare? Also, mine.”
Han Ling greedily learned every single technique, careful to keep his emotions dull on the outside. Then he smiled, “Here comes the big boys.” And sure enough, the grand items have arrived.
To attract potential buyers in the auction, the Mythic Pavilion released the main attraction. A Sage Lord Item focused on amplification of the power of qi. Han ling couldn’t copy an item, but could definitely copy any other techniques that come along.
And what do you know? A technique actually came…
“The first of today’s grand artifacts! The Sage Lord Technique, Elemental Combination!”
Han Ling eye’s nearly bulged as he inwardly drooled at the stats of the Sage Lord Technique.
Item: Elemental Combination
Rank: Sage Lord
Cultivation level required: 6th rank Immortal Supreme
Description: The power to combine any two elements to create a powerful concoction of qi. Able to combine more types of elements at higher proficiencies.
Han Ling immediately activated All-Seeing Void, learning the technique in an instant.
Then with extreme care, he raised a palm, and both fire and water danced in his palm, waves of flame and water curling and rolling around, combined as if they were made for one another.
“This is insane…”
Han Ling could feel immense power from the fire and water, “Contradicting elements forming an extremely powerful one?” And sure enough, a blob of molten lava appeared in Han Ling’s hand, “Lava huh? Interesting…”
Han Ling grinned inwardly; he had obtained something out of this world…
There was a series of bids and the technique went to the hand of the Honour from Seven Sun Sect. The next grand artifact was the Sage Lord Item on amplification and that went surprisingly to Hua Rong’s hands for a whopping 95 thousand spirit stones.
“Hmmm, she’s probably buying it to give to her brother.” Hua Rong has a younger brother destined to become the Emperor of the Wang Dynasty, and he was in Han Ling’s opinion a very worthy man. In his past life he was good friends with him, going so far as to even call one another brothers.
But he died along with Narukami in an ambush, leaving Han Ling despairing for many days.

“Haaa, I would like to at least meet him again…” Han Ling muttered to himself, sighing as he paid attention to the third Grand Artifact.
“For the third Grand Artifact, we have the Sage Weapon Magnificent Autumn Zither!”
Hmmm, well this one definitely belongs to the Grand Melodic Sect.
“For the Fourth Grand Artifact, the Sage Lord technique… Azure Crescent Strike!”
Oh, a sabre technique, not as strong as Void Spark Sword but still a decent technique, Han Ling learned it immediately, but knew he would forget about it later on.
“For the fifth and final Grand Artifact, the famed and legendary Sage Lord weapon… Twin Epoch Blades!”
Wow, even a twin dagger Sage Lord weapon, interesting… I wasn’t expecting the Mythic Pavilion to even have such a powerful item.
And the dagger landed surprisingly into Chen Liang’s hands, who actually wields daggers in battle, so these were a fantastic addition to his power. Han Ling sighed as Chen Liang beamed towards him as if asking for a praise, but he promptly ignored him.
The auction was over. Everyone started leaving their seats but Han Ling stayed behind, to collect the money from his sold items. He told Ye Qing to return first, but Chen Liang stayed next to Han Ling like a leech. “Hehe, it won’t be easy to kick me away brother Han Ling.” Chen Liang grinned from ear to ear, while Han Ling glared at him to shut up.
“Here is the Spirit Stones you earned, fellow Daoist.” A servant handed him a storage ring with his amount of 125 thousand spirit stones. Han Ling nodded once he checked it and left with an annoying Chen Liang next to him.
They walked down the a crowded path, till they reached the road leading up to the White tiger Sect, but Han Ling froze halfway.
This aura… Han Ling whipped around, purple eyes glaring at the busy streets. “Warn the White Tiger Sect demonic cultivators are attacking the city!” He shouted to Chen Liang just as he flew into the air, zooming towards the streets just in time to see a group of demonic cultivators release their vile aura.
“Kill everyone!”
“Glory to the Demons!”
Screams erupted from the streets as multiple groups of demons suddnely pounced on civilians. Without any cultivation, normal people would die immediately from a single strike from a cultivator.
The demonic cultivators were around Spirit Apprentice to Immortal Spirit rank and they wreaked havoc across the streets. “Hahaha! Fear the demons!”
RUMBLE! FOOMP!
“Guh!” “What is this pressure?!” “S-So heavy!”
A man floated above the demon cultivators, his eyes a bright purple, an unfathomable aura of a 6th step Immortal Supreme pressing down on the cultivators. “Take another step and you die.” His voice was laced with cold fury, purple qi flaring around his body.
“An Immortal Supreme?!” “I thought the Demon Spirits would take care of them!”
Han Ling caught the phrase Demon Spirits and glared at that one person. In a flash of purple, he grabbed the demonic cultivator lifting him into the air, “The hundred Demon Spirits are here?”
The man coughed and sputtered, “12 of them!” Han Ling released the cultivator, zooming into the air, scanning his surroundings just as he heard a loud boom in the distance. A cloud of smoke came from the White Tiger Sect. Must be the Demon Spirits…
The Hundred Demon Spirits, powerful Demonic Cultivators that the 7 Demons trained as a secret army. All of them were of Immortal Spirit rank but the top 50 were Immortal Supremes, strong enough to destroy an entire sect in just a day.
But if there’s only 12 of them, their target isn’t the White Tiger Sect…
BOOM!
A second explosion erupted this time from the forest, Han Ling’s All-Seeing Void squinted and his eyes widened.
RUMBLE! FWOOOMMM!
Han Ling exploded towards the forest, hand raised, a large orb of fire thrown towards the explosions.
“False Sun!”
A wave of flames slammed into the Demonic Cultivators, pushing them back as they patted the flames in panic. His feet slammed into the ground, cracking the charred ground and sending a powerful wave of earth spikes, forcing the demonic cultivators back again.
He glared in checked fury, his powerful aura flaring into the sky.
Behind him, was a battered and injured Hua Rong…
